It was founded by husband and wife restaurateurs Rick and Michele Torres. The location on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport began life as the Acoustic Cafe in 1999. It was a popular spot for the local Bridgeport music scene for over 20 years. It closed down in May 2020 due to the pandemic. The Torres family (who also own Harborview Market) then decided to purchase it and reopened it as Park City Music Hall following a 9-month renovation. The venue features a performance stage, a full bar and a kitchen. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, salads, bowls, tacos, various bar bites, craft beer (on draught and in cans), and craft cocktails. In May 2023, the venue unveiled their backstage annex: a 2500-sq-ft space directly behind the stage that is intended for VIP, GA+, private events and rentals. Since opening, Park City Music Hall has hosted countless nationally touring bands, Grammy winners, living legends, and electrifying up-and-comers. I recently visited Park City Music Hall for the first time. I had a ticket to see the Connecticut debut performance by New Jersey-based Rush tribute band "A Farewell To Kings" (AF2K). I'm a HUGE Rush fan, so I was really excited to see AF2K perform. Park City is primarily a standing room venue, but there is a limited amount of seating which is first come, first served. I arrived a half hour before doors opened, I was the first one in at opening time and I was able to snag the closest table to the stage. From the kitchen, I enjoyed some "Philly Eggrolls" (shaved steak, peppers & onions, mozzarella) along with a "Smash Burger" (cheddar jack, caramelized onion, pickles, shredded lettuce, special sauce) and "Sweet Potato Fries". I washed everything down with a draught pour of New England Brewing's "Fuzzy Baby Ducks" IPA. That meal really hit the spot! By the time the band hit the stage, a good sized crowd had accumulated. The band was terrific!! They played so many classic Rush songs and pulled them off well. As a drummer myself, I really liked the drum kit which was reminiscent of Neil Peart's kit circa 1983. Overall, I had an excellent experience at Park City Music Hall! I would love to visit the venue again, and I would really like to see AF2K perform again!

Unfortunately, the alcohol prices were absolutely appalling and really put a damper on the evening. Over $20 for a beer and nearly $30 for a mixed drink is simply outrageous!! You go to a concert to enjoy yourself, and then you're essentially paying astronomical prices just to have a drink. These prices are higher than what you see at Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium, which is hard to justify. This isn't Boston or New York City. The food trucks were just okay. Nothing particularly memorable but the alcohol pricing was by far the biggest disappointment. If the venue needs to generate more revenue, I would much rather see some of that cost reflected honestly in the ticket price upfront than arrive at the venue and be shocked by ridiculously inflated drink prices. At least then, people know what they're paying for before they get there. It's really disappointing because the venue itself has so much going for it. The concert experience, setting, and atmosphere were all excellent. But the extreme drink prices felt incredibly greedy and out of touch with the people who are coming there to enjoy an evening. Because of that, I honestly don't know if I would return. It's a shame that such a great venue could leave such a negative impression over something that seems so unnecessary.

I ordered the mac & cheese lobster which was described as a creamy mac & cheese with lobster and truffle oil... There was not one single sign of truffle oil on this dish at all. My other half had the fried clams, they rate as some of the worst clams we have ever tried, and the portion was extremely skimpy, and the clam composition was mostly that grizzle! ( the attached photo is the dish as it was delivered to us... We weren't dressed like bums, we sat in the corner, we didn't have extra sets of eyes, we didn't have an extra arm attached to our body, we were just regular, typical people, but she ignored us. Bill came out to $33.50 for bacon chowder, dried lobster mac & cheese, and two Ginger ales... Never again! Honestly, the way we were treated was shameful, hopefully they learn from this lesson and they do better... No one deserves this, especially with the cost of food these days. It took us 50 minutes to get here, and we made it a trip because we've had great experiences in the past, but seeing that all three dishes were disappointing makes me believe that this is not the same place that it used to be.

We've ROCKED out with metal cover bands and most recently sang the blues with a seasoned guitarist. The one thing that remains constant is the good times we, as attendees have. The friendly ushers, servers and bartenders are as much a part of contributing to the ambiance as the performers. We feel fortunate having a venue right here on Long Island where we can enjoy quality acts. Looking forward to many more performances!! No need to always travel to the city, spend your "night out on the town" right here! Thank me later....
