I've never been so aggravated with a movie theater. We waited in a line for more than 30 minutes to get caramel popcorn because that's what my kids wanted just to be told when we finally get to the cashier that side didn't sell caramel popcorn and I had to go wait in another extremely long slow moving line. This was very inconvenient because the movie was about to start. Then the movie was shaking the entire time! The bathrooms were gross, no lids for the icees, and the coke icee was out. It's a movie theater. It's pretty hard to have a bad experience at a movie theater that is the fault of the theater itself. The seating is comfy, the popcorn is delicious, and the staff is courteous. Although I typically enjoy coming to this theatre, the past few experiences have been very unpleasant. The actual movie theatre is very clean, but the staff is unfriendly. After ordering hot food from behind the bar, the staff made it very clear that my order was an inconvenience, as the kitchen was preparing to close. This was over an hour prior to closing. If the management begins hiring friendlier staff, I will continue going to this theater. read more

I've been here twice now in two weeks. The seats are leather, large and comfy, the lobby and theatres are clean and they always seem to do a brisk business. It is a bit cool when watching the movie so you may want a sweater so you can remain comfy. The previews are a bit loud but that seems to be par for the course. Will continue to come back. read more

Tonight we went to an early show at 6:30 at the AMC 16 theater on Schillinger in West Mobile. The first thing that you notice is how messy it is with trash on the floors (everything from napkins to cups to popcorn and straws). although there is lots of staff they are more busy joking with each other than actually taking care of the customers. If you ask for a manager (in this case Taylor who tried to get the manager Jazz) expect all kinds of excuses as to why he or she is unavailable. There is a noticeable lack of security presence and as for the priority service which you can pay to enroll in, forget it, as they have stopped honoring it (they alternate between the regular and the priority lines which has changed from when we first enrolled). In short, this is exactly what the theater had deteriorated to when it finally closed and reopened under the new owners (AMC). I suspect they are preparing to close or simply have stopped policing the running of this theater. Until they get their act together it would be best to avoid it and go elsewhere. What provides the paradox is the large number of staff just standing around joking with each other. I have written to AMC requesting some clarification as to what is going on but guess what?.....I do not expect an answer. read more

we always have a pleasant time at this theatre. They have updated auditoriums with Very comfy seats that recline back just a bit! They also do not fold up so you can actually sit your things next to you instead of putting them on the floor. They have $5 Tuesday's which makes for a great time to go if you are able. They usually have two auditoriums for each movie, especially the big movies coming out. They also offer student discounts, military, and senior citizens. We all know movie tickets have been going up for a while, but at this theatre they are reasonable, pop corn and drinks are a little pricey, but that's what you get when you want to have a night out. This theatre also has a policy after a certain time that kids under 16 have to be with a parent/adult so it makes it easier to watch a late movie on the weekends. I absolutely recommend this theatre to everyone in Mobile. read more

Sometimes there is a wait since there's only one section that is open. I went there on a weekday and it got busy and only one lady was at the register while management is chit chatting with another employee in the hot food side. Thought management would step in to help that lady but that never happened. Other than that, the renovations look very nice and the seats are comfortable. read more

Pre Purchased 4 tickets then had to wait in concessions line to get printed ticks /facepalm so the guy prints the ticket 4 of them the movie already started and he shuffled the 4 pieces of paper for like 5 minutes then proceeds to tell me the movie already started, and I am like yeah I know..then he says I only have 3 tickets. I went to this theater as a visitor because i am not from around this area. The theater looks kinda sketch from the outside, BUT on the inside it is super nice. The staff was nice, and the popcorn was good. The seats were really comfortable and I was able to put my legs up and be super comfortable. So the theater is super cool... BUT the people that go there, made the whole experience awful. And I mean awful. My friends and I were there to see the Conjuring 2, which is a scary movie, but when the movie started and there were scary parts a good majority of the theater was LAUGHING OUT LOUD. And throughout the whole movie people would not stop talking and giving their opinions, loudly, on every part of the movie. Even after some girl told the whole theater to shut up, they would not stop talking. Some people even got up and left because they were annoyed by the talkers. I don't know if this happens in every movie there, but it definitely made me want to never go there, ever again. read more

First time coming to this amc. Was alittle confusing at first walking into the place. As to where to purchase tickets. I guess I maybe more use to an actual ticket counter or self service ticket machine easily seen as you walk in to amc's. So I purchased my ticket from the app. I'm walking and there is 2 movie openings to walk to. No direction on which to go to. So I just followed the other people. Get to the staff that's taking tickets. He looks at my phone surprised alittle. I'm thinking he's going to scan my ticket. Nope. I don't think that have this technology there yet. Get to the movie theater and it's kinda small. The seats are ok. Comfortable. I was watching ant man and the wasp. Would have been a better experience if people weren't talking so much. And then there's those that want to over laugh at moments in the movie that weren't that funny. And they wanted to state the obvious during those moments. The staff. Ehh. I went to get a popcorn and drink. She mentions you can upgrade for a $1.50. I said no. She then asks are you a stubs member. I said yes. She says the upgrade would be free. I said ok I'll take the upgrade then. She comes back with everything minus the upgrade that I asked for. The free one. She said I said no I don't want the upgrade. Somehow she skipped the part where I said yes to the free upgrade. She still thinks I said no to the free part. ‍ it's free!!!!!!! read more

Last time I came here was a couple years ago. Come back, this place has been renovated very nicely. Free refills now with the drink machines outside of the bar. A hot food bar pickup. Just so convenient. And the lobby is nice now. A bunch of seats to sit at. It's a nice lounge area. And there's two big screen tv's too just incase you came early and waiting for your movie. Now, furthermore, the seats in the theaters are very nice now. New seats! Who doesn't like new seats? They're all leather now. Though, the theaters can still be dirty from time to time. Everything is better now except for getting tickets and food. You get both of those at the same place and it's at the snack bar. Too much waiting. They should have a press box again so you can just get tickets there instead of at the snack bar. Overall, this place is better a little bit. read more

I have to amend my sour review of Wynnsong....... Last year they renovated this place and WOW!!! It looks 100% Better! This place was much cleaner and the seats were leather instead of those filthy smelly fabric seats they used to have. Looks like someone finally got the message. The server who gave us our tickets and snacks was great except for one thing: I asked for a cup of water and he gave me a large cup. I told him I didn't need such a big cup and he said that was the smallest they had. I later discovered when I looked at my receipt that he had charged me $5.79! For water. After being so helpful with specials and information. I won't be going back. If he had said the charge for a cup of water (a paper cup I cannot save as a souvenir!), I would have just stopped by a water fountain. read more

The theaters themselves are fine. The very tall ticket taker is terrific. The people from whom one buys the tickets are good and relatively efficient. But the washrooms? Totally disgusting! Last evening before the start of the 7:05 PM movie, the women's washroom near theater 2 was filthy and the floor was so sticky you could hear people entering. The floor in the stalls was soaked with urine and toilet paper. After the movie that same washroom was full of popcorn all over the floor and still covered with toilet paper. Only one faucet works in one sink and the paper towel dispenser does not work well. I understand that people are messy and sometimes gross, but the theater staff does not clean these enough or frequently enough! And the faucets need to be checked regularly and the towel holders checked. I have to say that the Regal washrooms are huge and kept fairly well so I know it's doable! So... Fix it! read more

This theater is clean and has nice comfy seats that recline just a tad. Plenty of parking in the private lot. Reasonably priced tickets for movies, they do offer senior, student, and military discounts. My issue was we handed our ID and student ID for obviously a student price, didn't verbally say a student ticket and was charged for adult price ..why would we hand you a student ID card? Not sure if she even looked at what we gave her. Anyways, could've been more detail oriented. The refund and wait wasn't worth it before our movie stared. read more
