    About to watch movie

Theatre 4 , seat 9 is broken will not go up. Unfortunately I always run into issues at this theatre.

THE OIL IS OFF (3 stars) Not my favorite AMC theater but likes the reclining chairs. Location is in La Jolla Village (aka college student hub). It's downstairs and it's pretty busy. The smell of popcorn filled the air, but not a good kind of smell. Ordered popcorn and the popcorn itself had an unusual weird after taste. No it's not the butter, I take my popcorn without butter. The oil was either old or burnt, it made the popcorn taste different. There are other AMCs to be had.

Came to watch "Girls Like Girls" and had a great time! This movie theater is very nice. First off, the staff were friendly and they were able to change my ticket time when I couldn't make it to the original time I chose. Then they told me they were grateful I made it to the movies still. That was really kind. The movie itself was great and the seats inside the theaters are very comfortable; they even recline! I will definitely be back.

popcorn usually great at this location :)

We enjoy coming to this theatre because it has reclining seats. We got spoiled in Hawaii, as most theatres there have reclining seats. It's one of the pricer AMC theatres. Other things that we like: *reserved seating *discount matinees (Before 4) for yourself *food and drink mobile ordering (separate area to pick up) *Coca-Cola Freestyle serves yourself *ICEE serve yourself *I enjoy getting the alcoholic-themed beverage that pairs with the movie I'm watching. *Serve yourself butter For the summer, AMC is offering a special for rewards members on Tuesday and Wednesday, with 50 percent off tickets. The food is okay. We try our best to eat before we come. We liked the flatbread pizza and chicken tenders. We tried the pretzel and sliders, but did not like them. The pretzel was stale. The sliders seemed like it was over-microwaved, and it was soggy. I always have to purchase movie theatre popcorn when I watch a movie. Thankfully,d it's always been good here. My husband and I have the A-List membership. For a monthly fee of $27.99, we can watch up to four movies a week. If you watch two movies at this theatre, you'll make it worth it. One adult ticket costs $18.49 at the regular theatre. If you purchase it online, it's an extra $2.19 = $20.68 Other Benefits of A List: - Free Online Ticket Reservations ($2.19) - Free Size Upgrades on Popcorn & Fountain Drinks - Large Popcorn & Fountain Drink Birthday Gift * No Upcharge for Premium Formats * Such as IMAX, Laser, 3D, etc. Parking: Free This is a decent theatre to watch movies.

I went to see Good Boy here. Its a decent movie. Oddly enough, it was more eerie and sad than it was creepy and scary. Nonetheless, i did enjoy it. The theater i was in was VERY small. It felt like maybe 7 or 8 rows. The seats adjust but is not comfortable at all. The seats didn't feel comfortable. The theater was clean and it had a small claw machine area and a nice concession stand. The theater was pretty much empty when I was there. Bathrooms ate clean and don't give a creepy haunted movie theater feeling. Lol whatever that means right? For a small theater, this place was nice, clean, and looked fun.

We enjoyed our movie experience here at the AMC ... they are currently remodeling the hallway etc but the theatre inside is nice and completely remodeled! We were also impressed with the heat settings on the seat. There were 2 and it goes off prolly after 15 min as it gets pretty toasty. The staff at the concession stand was amazing. I asked if the popcorn has no butter and salt and he said no, but that he'll make us a new batch. Def sweet of him

It's hard to describe how odd and bad the parking situation is at this location. Then you kinda go into the basement of the mall? It's just a very odd set up and a so-so AMC location. Sound and picture quality were fine, but it was a small auditorium and lobby. Just a bit of an odd theater.

Does a parent have to see the movie with minor at an R rated film?

I saw an interaction like this last week. The ticket staff confirmed the adult and child had ticket to the same movie and time and seated next to each other.

This one is long overdue--not that they need my review, because by now everyone already knows how amazing this place is. What keeps me coming back is the combination of great music, an energetic vibe, outstanding service, and some of the most creative cocktails you'll find anywhere. Tonight was girls' night out, so we decided to order the prettier, and sweeter cocktails. But don't let the sweet flavors fool you--they are definitely generous with the alcohol. These drinks may taste dangerously easy to sip, but they pack a punch! I don't even remember the names of the cocktails we ordered, but honestly, that doesn't matter because the menu changes so often. And that's one of the things I love most about Music Bar. Every visit brings something new, fresh, and exciting to try. Both of my drinks were absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. I honestly don't know how the bartenders come up with these combinations, but kudos to the team for constantly pushing their creativity while still making every cocktail incredibly well balanced. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, Music Bar never disappoints. I'll definitely keep coming back to see what new creations they come up with next. Cheers to one of my favorite cocktail spots in San Diego!

Overall, I'd personally rate my experience about 3 1/2, the overall meal was solid and my friend really enjoyed her entrée! We started with the hummus and pita, and I can absolutely see why it's so highly rated. The hummus was smooth, flavorful, and well-seasoned, but the real standout was the pita bread. It was incredibly fluffy, warm, garlicky, and easily my favorite thing we ordered. I'd happily come back just for that appetizer. For my entrée, I ordered the fish and chips after seeing several people recommend it. The fish itself was cooked well with a nice crispy coating, and the fries were perfectly fine--nothing wrong with them, but nothing particularly memorable either. My only real complaint was the tartar sauce, which I found much sweeter than I prefer. It just wasn't the flavor profile I was expecting. Overall, it was a decent fish and chips plate, but it didn't really wow me. My friend ordered the lamb dinner (not pictured) and thought it was excellent. I trust her judgment, and it definitely seemed like one of the stronger dishes on the menu. We finished by sharing the chocolate dessert since the only other option was a lemon dessert, which neither of us was in the mood for. It was interesting because it was much more mousse-like than traditional cake. Honestly, I'm still not sure whether to call it a cake or a cheesecake, but either way it was rich, smooth, and delicious. My favorite part was the chocolate graham cracker crust, which really brought the whole dessert together. The restaurant itself had a relaxed atmosphere, and service was friendly throughout our visit. While my entrée wasn't a standout, the appetizer, dessert, and my friend's excellent meal made for an enjoyable lunch overall. I'd definitely come back, though next time I'd be more inclined to try one of the other entrées instead of the fish and chips.

General California Gift Card Rules No Expiration: Most gift cards sold in California cannot have an expiration date and remain valid until they are redeemed or replaced. Cash Redemption: If the balance on a gift card is less than $10, California law requires the merchant to redeem it for cash upon request. (Note: This threshold is set to increase to $15 on April 1, 2026). Liability of Previous Owner: If a new owner is not legally obligated to honor your card, your legal claim is technically against the previous owner who originally took your money. Next Steps for Consumers Ask the New Owner: Many new owners will honor old gift cards as a gesture of goodwill to retain local customers and protect the brand's reputation. Verify the Business Entity: You can check the California Secretary of State's business search to see if the legal entity behind the restaurant name has changed. Contact the Previous Owner: If the current management refuses the card, you may need to seek a refund from the individual or company that originally sold it to you. Would you like help looking up the current business registration for a specific restaurant to see if the legal entity has changed? Big mistake, new owner. This is sport, for me. I certainly will be back rarely. Wow. Seriously, that's how you run this business? Maybe, a business manager, an etiquette course? I did customer relations for a bank, a chain of appliance stores, USPS, just take my fee, out of the gift card. Update Asset vs. Stock Sale: If it is an "asset purchase" (buying equipment/name, not the corporate entity), the buyer typically inherits no liabilities unless agreed upon. Gift Cards: The new owner is not legally required to honor old gift cards unless they agreed to, or they are deemed a "continuation" of the old business, according to a discussion on Facebook. Successor Liability: California courts might impose liability if the new company is just a sham to avoid debt. Best Practice: The buyer should request a list of outstanding gift cards and demand the seller transfer cash to cover them to prevent loss of goodwill. If a new owner refuses to honor a gift card, consumers can complain to the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Sir, did you practice best practice? I'll let you know what the Department says

Inside, there's a mix of tables and bar seating, and they serve food in addition to having an extensive cocktail menu. The drink menu was definitely the highlight for me. There were so many creative and unique cocktails that really stood out. I'm usually not a huge cocktail person because I don't like overly sweet drinks, and it can be surprisingly difficult to find cocktails that are both original and sophisticated enough to actually sip and enjoy. They definitely nailed that here. I tried several: *Kasato Maru: This was so smooth and absolutely delicious. By far my favorite. You could really pick up the St. Germain elderflower and pear, and the flavors worked beautifully together. Definitely one of my favorites. *Sunomono: This was more liquor-forward, but still incredibly smooth. Definitely a good choice if you want something that lets the spirits shine. *Je Ju: Unfortunately, this one wasn't for me. It had a really unusual flavor that just didn't work with my palate, and my friend wasn't a fan either. I'm usually not one to send a drink back, but the staff was fantastic about it. They happily took it back and made me a completely different cocktail. *Softly Spoken: My friend ordered this one, and it came in a glass filled with small ice cubes. I tried it and thought it was really good, but it wasn't quite my personal preference. It definitely had more of a fruity flavor profile. The food looked absolutely amazing although we didn't eat here this time. There are still so many cocktails on the menu that I want to try so I'll definitely need to come back. The atmosphere is dimly lit, intimate, and full of character. It has that cool, moody feel that makes you want to sit back, sip a cocktail, and stay awhile. And the service was phenomenal from start to finish. Overall, this was such a fun experience. Great atmosphere, creative cocktails, excellent service, and plenty more on the menu I still want to try.
