Bad experience this time. I went to see the Accountant 2 on May 18th at 3:20pm. The closed captioning device wouldn't work. This is not unheard of as I've experienced this at multiple theaters: AMC, Cinemark, B&B. I spent $23 on snacks. So I tell the customer service about it. The lady in charge continues to talk to me with a mask on even though it is clear that I'm hearing impaired. They refunded my money for the movie but now I'm out $23 on snacks. Usually, the theater is apologetic and gives me a free ticket for next time to make up for their accessibility features not working. I have been to this location before and they gave me free tickets for a future film about a year ago after their closed captioning device didn't work. Plus, they refunded my ticket and they were apologetic. These employees were not accommodating. Apparently, they need a new management that knows how to be "disability" friendly and learn how to deal with HOH and deaf people! Based on past reviews, the lady that gave me a hard time was Helen. So many bad reviews of interactions of Helen, AMC firewheel needs to replace her! No worries on my end as I won't ever be returning! I told Helen that since it appears you guys aren't disability friendly with the management you have in place.

Glad I paid $45 for concessions tonight. It was disgusting and missing. No ice in any of the machines.

This theatre has reached a whole new level of pathetic. The picture attached shows the quality of the concessions. This is what we received without taking anything out. The pretzel bites were dripping with grease and yet, still hard. Somehow they were hot and the other half of the same bite was cold. The cheese was missing even though it was part of the description. The seasoning was barely there. The popcorn in this container wasn't full and the bag of popcorn my son purchased was also half full. The drink machines were out of ice and all of the condiments for the hot dogs were gone. It was the most unorganized and confusing scene. It's atrocious anyone can even call this a business. Our next movie night will be Strike and a reel down the street. At least they're clean.

Broken chairs, arm rests are nasty and aged. Bar is closed due to staffing- it's hot. Very disappointed.

Can you say POPCORN? Or is this a pillow? I am so Thankful this carry out option of this amazing snack is available because popping it at home is not always ideal. Thank you AMC for making my at home movie nights the best.

This is a clean theater. I haven't been to a movie outing in years. I took my daughter because it was the national $4 day. We went to see the Barbie movie thingy. The restrooms was clean. Theater 8 was clean. The entire place was clean. But the one complaint I think everybody will complain about is the price of that damn food makes no sense at all.

Decided to wake up and bring in 2022 with kids watching Spider-Man. Walked up to purchase the 1st showing at noon and the negativity started. The young lady was curt and not friendly. As we walked to the main building, the ticket taker was leaning and horrible body language. When I told Happy New Year..nothing. You can't start a new year watching a movie without warm popcorn. Nope expensive cold popcorn that you need to ask for butter. The movie room was clean, comfortable and restrooms were clean but the customer service was horrible. AMC you want us back, train your young staff that greeting us in a positive way will get us back sooner rather than later.

It seats approximately 350 people, but it feels tight when even close to capacity because what is not updated/modernized are the chairs. Overall it is a decent venue and has good acoustics etc. what I was really disappointed in on my recent visit was that they added seats that sit up higher than the others on the first row, that obstructed the views of those of us on the second row. Also, there is not a traditional concession stand, as that part apparently was done away with in the remodel.

This place is very clean and the bathrooms are nice and clean. There is a lot of parking throughout the little city of Garland. We did end the night across at a local watering hole and close it down with some good folks. If on Fever and see this as an option go ahead and choose it because it was a blast!

Inside are two screens, both quite sizeable, with ample seating. From what I understand, this theater is not open year-round. It opens during summer blockbuster season, and when highly anticipated movies come about. I suppose that's why when we showed up, the guy thought we were there to see the new Mission Impossible movie. We were actually there to see The Muppets. When we got there, I was feeling a mixture of both excitement, and nerves. I looked around, and it looked like the Movie Theater That Time Forgot. The concession stand was dimly lit and looked like it hadn't been used in ages. There were movie posters rolled up in a corner, the marquees still used removable letters...it was OLD SCHOOL. The theater is owned/operated by an Indian man, who was the only person running everything. He was the concession stand clerk, box office clerk, and projectionist. Tickets are the cheapest anywhere for new flicks. $5 for adults, $3 for kids, all the time. The movie-watching experience was pretty nice...although about 2/3 of the way through the movie, the sound had some hiccups, which the man explained was due to the way he had everything set up. He apologized for that, and we didn't really mind, since he was so incredibly nice to us. He also REALLY loves and is proud of his surround sound, which he gave us a demo of (we watched a 20 minute segment from XXX, and the explosions, car crashes, ect. sounded really great), and he was really anxious to show it to us the entire night. I have to give him credit...he may not be running a sparkling, shiny new theater, but I liked his enthusiasm for what he did have to offer, and sometimes, that's all you really need. We will most definitely be back for an action flick to make use of his sound system.

My daughter had a blast. She collected enough tickets to win some cool prizes. Some of the games weren't working, but we got to enjoy most of them. It was a fun way to spend an hour or so.

I took my grandson to NickelRama a little over a week ago, while he was visiting from Ohio…read more Having never been, I had no expectations other than to think we were going to an "arcade." I had looked up NickelRama online just to verify that fact, and in so doing I read that all the arcade games were, go figure, a "nickel!" Anyhoo, what I did not realize was that NickelRama are a chain of "play for tickets" arcades, where one may then redeem the tickets for "prizes," akin to that which one might imagine winning at a carnival "Guess Your Age/Weight Booth," where number of prizes range from a stick of chewing gum or pencil topper on the low end to perhaps something electronic on the far upper end, depending on the number of tickets being redeemed. My grandson was fully aware of what we were getting into, as I quickly learned. After we made entry and each received our initial $10.00 purchase of 200 nickels, presented to us loose, in plastic cups, he immediately began searching the arcade for what he determined to be the game that would result in us accumulating the most tickets. This was not his first rodeo and he certainly knew the "name of the game" was quantity over quality, as far as ticket acquisition goes. The idea that we might challenge one another in some friendly video game mano a mano competition was quickly replaced by us challenging an electronically crafted gizmo to give up the most tickets possible, for later turn-in and prize procurement! As such was inevitable, he found THE game and thus, the challenge was on. It took us each about 45 minutes to burn through our 200 nickels. Well, I actually left the particular game and sought some variety of play, after about 160 or so nickels. That was short lived however, as I quickly realized my grandson's assessment was correct and the game to which he remained attached was the one that was most generous in spitting out tickets. Hence, I returned to sit beside him at the adjacent game and fed the remainder of my nickels into the machine. When our nickel cups were empty, I urged my grandson to walk about and seek out other possible games, but he quietly reminded me none were as generous as the one we'd just left. Still, I was seeking variety so, I enticed him with an additional cup of 100 nickels. He retrieved the cups and we began playing a game somewhat similar to THE game, but as he pointed out it just wasn't as lucrative. So, we went back to the machines we first sat at and fed. After a short period, we both were done and ready to feed our tickets into the Ticket Counters for tabulation. The ticket counters, booth count AND slice the tickets in half so they may not be reused/recounted. As our tickets were counted, he was declared the winner, by his count exceeding mine, by about 800 tickets! In total, we had a combined give or take 5300 tickets, with which he could now utilize to "shop" for prizes. With an "All-in" investment of just at $40, including the $5 entry fee for each of us to the NickelRama, he was able to get a tiny rubber eraser, a pair of large foam dice, and a plastic foam ball pop gun. In the end, I considered it money well spent, since the goal of the trip was to spend some quality time out with my grandson. He had fun and I had fun! He was shown that he was valued by my following his lead in our quest. And, he outperformed me in the acquisition of tickets! If you're looking to spend some time with your little ones and you want them to feel good about themselves, a NickelRama can fill that need! If you go, just keep in mind, that the quality is not in the prizes but in the time spent together! Live well. Be well. Cheers!
