Apparently I'm a spoiled AMC patron. I'm accustomed to a clean lobby, comfortable reclining seats, and decent customer service. Everything this place is NOT! The lobby was tacky and dirty. This theater is like most. The seats were uncomfortable but I'm used to plush seats that recline. I came here as a halfway point to meet up with a freind, so it served its purpose! Just watched a movie here this morning. We were at the 11AM showing which I think the earliest movie showing of the day. However, when I got to our seats the floor in front of our seats was sticky. That tells me they don't clean their floors. One women's room was out of order. The other women's room's floor was soaked with wet tissue on it. The toilet stall I went to was fine, but it was a slip n' slide to get to the sink. There was a bucket and mop there, so I assume they started to clean it up and stopped. The arcade games were all turned off. The sound of the movie was so loud I had to plug my ears with my earphones to protect my ears. Oh and no one checked my ticket when I went to the theater. The person disappeared between the time I got our snacks and when I sent my daughter in to sit down. It didn't bother me, since that meant I didn't have to find a way to grab my ticket info while balancing my snacks. It's was just weird. I did see someone there after our movie was over. I had the AMC Premier plan before the pandemic and would watch a movie weekly when I lived in Marietta. Sadly, if this is my only option in this area I'd rather watch movies at home. read more

This is BY FAR the most unkempt AMC I've ever seen. Bathrooms nasty, lights out, latches broken on stalls. Concessions so dirty that I had to lay napkins down to put my popcorn somewhere so I can fill by beverage. Can't even trust that my beverage is clean because if they keep what I can see this dirty, I know they aren't cleaning the machines!! Spent $30 on the movie and the snacks but I'm walking out, and leaving everything behind, because the seats stink. This is unbelievable. read more

First time at this AMC Theatre. Surprised that the seats were old school. I'm accustomed to leather, heated reclining seats. Staff at this location are young which is fine but there was no urgency to do anything and attitude was very non-chalant. Wait times to get food/drinks were too long, nothing going on behind the counter. Napkins and straws were gone, drinks spilled everywhere by the fountain drinks. The layout is unorganized. About 30-40 minutes before the movie was over, staff turned the ceiling lights back on in the theatre. You wait until the movie is OVER before u do that, at the very least until the credits begin. Very disappointed I came into the facility brought tickets for Christmas for a our family 10 tickets middle of November. Got to the facility Christmas morning 11:00 am went to sit down in our reserved Sitting, another family was sitting there. Went to the manager, looked @ The tickets dates, and the person. Who sold me the tickets , put it under 01/01 ( Monday) Sooooo, my family was split up and had to just get in we're we fit in. This is a pretty solid movie theater. I was in the area visiting family and my cousin and I decided to go catch a movie. This place is nothing special. Honestly, it could use some renovating which I wouldn't be surprised if it comes soon. Nevertheless, the ticket buying process went without a hitch. The service was pretty good. To begin with this review, I have seen plenty of movies at this particular location. While I have better luck during the early afternoon viewings on my off days with less of a crowd attending at the time, most of my issues are outside of those viewings. I have had 3D tickets sold to me for regular movies, putting me in bad seating in packed theaters when the issue was 'attempted' to be resolved, threatened to be kicked out along with an entire theater when kids were running into movies they weren't allowed in, showing the incompetence of the employees and security, infants brought in and no resolution to complaints of consistent crying issues and lack of ability to provide college ID online when purchasing tickets to qualify for a slight discount only allowing myself to buy tickets at the location with the ID in hand. This has all been very frustrating, leading into my most recent visit. My most recent visit to this location was November 22, the day before Thanksgiving and my birthday that unfortunately fell on the same day this year. Along with my younger brother and a handful of school friends, we wanted to see the Marvels. A bit of backstory, I have seen every Marvel film in theaters since the beginning along with my grandfather up until his untimely passing in 2011. I continued this as an almost tradition of keeping up with the product and a way of him living along with the moment in the theater and experience of viewing. Fast forward to November 22, 2023, we all decided on the movie time and met up, everyone getting out to town. I was excited as it was leading into my birthday and was what I saw a decent way to spend a birthday that would most likely have gotten overlooked due to the holiday. As we walked in to purchase tickets, we were all disappointed the movie time was canceled after checking multiple times online earlier to confirm the times were right. When we asked the employees, they simply stated it was canceled with little explanation, possibly due to being the day before Thanksgiving and the urge to leave as soon as possible. We tried to ask if there was a way to view the movie, they said no. We asked about private viewings with collected money for a private screening, this location does not do private screenings, or so we were told. We looked online for another theater nearby but all the scheduled movies had already played at their respective locations. Looking at what is currently playing now that I have time to actually sit down in a theater and watch something, I've been trying to find a theater that is showing the Marvels. Unfortunately, I haven't had luck finding anything around my area or close to, to which I have to point fingers at the Conyers location for now breaking what has been almost 15 year tradition for me. While this is truly disheartening as it has held great sentiment to me, it only solidifies another reason this location either needs new management, a change up, or closed permanently. I have had plenty of friends and colleagues that have expressed issues with this location, all ranging, while I have been lenient and able to overlook some but the last few visits have only proven that AMC Conyers is a poor location for a trip to the movies. Needless to say, I don't see myself now returning to this location, the money would be better well spent at a nicer theater farther out. I would not advise anyone to visit this theater. The one star rating is only due to not having the ability to give half star reviews, otherwise, it would be lower than what I have been gracious enough to give it. read more

The theaters are quite small and intimate. They do have reserved seating but the seats don't recline and are nothing fancy. The numbers on the seats in the theater are small and difficult to see in the low lighting and many of the guest had difficulties founding their seats. Dirty and run down. We got popcorn, cokes and a slushy. The coke tasted weird. After putting butter on the popcorn we find out there are no napkins. No napkins anywhere. So I went to my car and got a pack of wipes to use. I'm glad I couldn't see in the theater. Don't want to see what people left behind and sticky floors. This theater has been slowly heading downhill for years. :-( It has now bottomed out so bad that we are driving elsewhere - much further - to see movies. The staff (minus the severely outnumbered few who actually seem to care) is apathetic and unprofessional. Almost every time I've been there in the past years there's some gigantic problem once the movie starts (like zero sound) and I have to get up and go hunt down somebody that knows what to do to fix it. The bathrooms stay horrendously dirty. Half the time they don't even have the main ticket booth open and you have to stand IN THE FOOD LINE to get tickets. And now it appears they have resorted to using one of the main entryways FOR STORAGE. No, I'm not kidding. And this picture was taken on a Friday afternoon. I had high hopes when AMC bought it that they'd try to raise this place back up to some sort of reasonable standard, but not so far... Update: Unbelievably, this place continues to slide downhill. At this point they've stopped updating the big sign marquee by the main road and it has a message for you to check online to see what's playing. The movie posters inside the signs outside are 4 months out of date and do not indicate what's currently playing. Also, now they just send you to a theater # and you'd best remember what it is because they no longer load the movie names into the signs outside each theater door. sigh read more

This place is so disgusting and nasty. I could not believe what I was seeing. The bathrooms were atrocious, popcorn was everywhere on the floor, there were dead smushed roaches. A comb and popcorn on the concession counter. I was just highly confused. I asked an employee where the manager was but he was just as confused as me, so I was pretty much over it at that point. You will have a better experience AT HOME I promise! Not worth the nastiness. Especially, if you're in the theater worried about if a roach is going to crawl on you. read more

AMC bought Carmike Cinemas in 2016, and hope sprung eternal that this would transform the theaters. Let's face it, most Carmike locations are very janky, and they could use a serious facelift. Is Conyers Crossing a good location to catch a movie now that AMC is in control? Short answer, no. Long answer, hell no. I've been to plenty of Carmike locations that I don't mind. Many provide a perfectly adequate movie going experience. Why does this location suck? I went with a friend during a weekend, and the theatre was packed. Many were in line for concessions, and you would expect the staff to understand the fact that they need to move quickly. Sadly, the concessions staff moved slower than snails. It was downright infuriating to watch. The sound and the picture quality of the movie were both acceptable. Sadly, the movie watching experience still sucked in spite of this. There were many in the theater who were using their phones. AMC did not have any ushers walk the theater to make sure that people were being courteous. After the movie, the staff ushered everybody to exit in a direction that would not allow access to their large bathroom. Instead, we were gifted access to a lovely 2 stall bathroom. Needless to say, there was a really long line. Everything about the movie viewing experience at AMC Conyers Crossing is awful. Go to Stonecrest. read more

The facility was not clean service was terrible . I wanted to try it again to see if the management would change and improve the theatre. Unfortunately that is not the case. Would not recommend you go to this theatre and spend your money. Tried it a second time and the service management cleanliness was terrible They are not here for the community and we should not accept poor service All I have called AMC and submitted a formal complaint and no call at all back from their executive team. Pretty large movie theater. I came here to watch Avengers: End Game. I won't be leaving a review for that movie ;) Pros: opened right before lunch time. I was able to eat something before coming over here. Fandango is accepted here. Cons: I did not personal like the room we were in because it smelled like a bathroom. Tip: use Fandango so you don't have to wait in their normal or A-List Line for tickets. You can go straight to the Ticketmaster booth. FYI: $9/2 bottles of water. read more

We came to this theater last Friday to see Creed 2. Our movie started at 10:15, we got there at 10. There was no one in line so we got our tickets at the concession stand and decided to get food. This was the worst mistake. I started to notice people after us getting their food before us. I went up to the counter to notice the order screen was turned off, so no one cooking was even aware of our order. At this point it's 10:30 and they still had to actually cook our food. We didn't make it into our movie until 10:40, we just barely made it to the beginning. We got a few apologies but that was about it. The movie theater was DISGUSTING! We had to use force to pick our feet up from the ground because it was so sticky. We definitely won't be returning here. read more

For a Saturday night, usually a busy night for theaters, there were so many problems at this theater. AMC 16 Conyers, GA. The freestyle drink machine flavors were not refilled. Many popular drink items were unavailable, including Coca Cola. We went to see Shazam at 5:20 in Auditorium 5. It's opening weekend for Shazam but we were in the smallest auditorium. I thought that was poor planning. Many customers arriving a little later, saw that there were no seats together and left the auditorium. There was a major opening in the ceiling which was not appealing. The movie screen was green so we couldn't watch the First Look segments for early arrivals. We were looking at a green screen with audio until the previews started. When we asked the ushers what is happening, they said the green screen is normal and will go away. Green screen is definitely not normal. There was no obvious manager on duty to ensure things are going well. Maybe the manager was somewhere else but the manager should still be checking the floor to make sure things are cleaned and refilled. read more

I just went to this theater in Conyers. We haven't been to the theater in a loooooong time. They aren't Carmike Cinemas anymore apparently AMC bought it. It was rundown and very dirty. I believe there were only 7 employees working. The wait just to get a ticket was ridiculous and the lines were very confusing. The price for tickets are very high and the prices for concession items was atrocious. 1 large popcorn was and 1 large drink was $16. They were out if almost everything. The seats were broken and theater 9 looked like it hadn't been cleaned or at least swept in about a year. It was so bad I'll never go back to that theater. I'll be going to a better theater that has same price tickets, better seats with free unlimited popcorn. read more

I'm not very picky but every time I go here the bathrooms are gross, half the doors don't close and they are usually super understaffed. Last time I went was a school break, they were busy and we bought our tickets online bc there going to be four kids with us and it usually saves a lot of time. However we get there and there was only two registers open at the concessions area and they did not have the ticket window open at all, they were mixing the ticket sales and concessions sales so instead of just being able to buy our concessions and miss the crowds we had to wait almost 30 minutes mixed. Absolutely DISGUSTING!!! Saturday night 7pm 1 ticket window selling tickets. Only one of 3 sides for concessions open. Popcorn was stale and burnt, 4 coke machines 2 working 1 with ice! This location is horrific! The past several times our experience has been bad...this past time, September 07 was so bad that we have decided to never see a movie here again! There's never enough people at the ticket booth. There's never enough people running the concession stands. The lines for both are extremely long no matter when you go. As far as our most recent experience - we saw the 7:45pm screening of IT Chapter 2 on September 07, 2019. 75% of the audience was younger than the R rating allowed them to be and were with no adult/guardian. Several were even middle school age. These groups of unsupervised kids were extremely loud throughout the entire movie and very disruptive. When we first arrived, there was someone checking tickets and asking for IDs before people were allowed to enter. The person wasn't there long, because before the previews had even started the theater was filled with kids. On top of that, there was an altercation between two women a few rows in front of us, leading to one of the women calling City Of Conyers Police while still in the theater. She ended up walking out, but we were later interrupted two separate times by City Of Conyers Police officers coming in looking for someone. This was one of the worse, if not the worst experiences I've ever had attending a movie. If I didn't want to completely lose our money we would have walked out! read more
