The remodel several years back turned this theater from try very hard to avoid going here to my favorite theater. I love the upgraded reclining seats, leg room so your feet don't get stepped on those that thought they could handle the large beverage. You reserve your specific seat when you buy your ticket so you can rest assured that your party can be seated together (if you order ahead). They also now have a bar so you can enjoy an adult beverage. The concession stand has plenty of snacks including hot dogs and light appetizer type foods in addition to popcorn and candy. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. The guy next to me in the theater tonight was on his phone the entire time. I told him after Avis half hour of this that this was not his living room and to turn the phone off. He didn't listen, so I le and told the girl scanning tickets. She said she would send security in for me. That never happened. So I sat waiting for the rest of my movie with this guy's blue screen in my eye just waiting for anything. After the movie ended, I went right out to them and said "Where were you?!" The security guy said he went in twice and didn't see anyone on their phone. I said "theater 7? Because it never stopped!" Haven't been to the theatre in a while, it's one of my favorite things to do. We went to see black Adam ( don't worry, no spoilers) It was a good movie. The chairs that recline are always nice. I really enjoyed the app- I purchased tickets ahead of time on the app. I earned points for my purchase. We got snacks and drinks once we got to the theatre. The popcorn was delicious, the candy was good. The drinks though- they were really flat, super syrupy. Plus there was no ice in any of the machines which was a bummer. We loved the experience for the value of what we paid. Just wish the drinks were better. read more

This was my first movie theater visit since the pandemic began. As someone who is still on edge about the pandemic, this was not a reassuring experience for me. My biggest problem is their assigned seat system. People don't follow their assigned seats and the theater does nothing to enforce it. When we arrived at our seats, another family was sitting in them. We asked that they move, and they did... but what's the point of assigned seats if things like this happens? As the movie started, I also noticed other seats remained empty that were supposedly "reserved" already when we bought our tickets. Those empty seats would've been better for us than our actual assigned seats in terms of social distancing... In this day and age where we want to try to social distance, AMC's disorganized assigned seating system makes it too unpredictable to choose seats that are socially distanced. Otherwise, the theater had nice recliner chairs and was overall pretty clean. I just can't get over the Russian roulette nature of their seat assignment system. You can reserve a seat that you think has an empty spot next to you but someone might sit in that empty spot anyways. So you'll want to move to a more empty area of the theater but then you'll need to go back out front and line up to ask to get your seat assignment changed. Just a pain. read more

We go to AMC locations often because we utilize the Stubs program since we watch movies a lot. The staff at this location is pretty good most days although they've had some turnover since reopening so be patient as people are learning. The seats are comfy, there is a bar available, the food items have been upgraded over the last couple years, and they have $5 menu options available through October. Plus $5 (tickets) Tuesdays is always a good option. The popcorn is usually fresh and luckily if it's not then the staff is happy to make it right. The restrooms are hit or miss but usually are decent. For a cheap movie date this is a good place to go and it's usually less crowded than a couple other AMC locations. If you plan to go regularly then I'd recommend the Stubs premier. Shorter wait in line, birthday gift, no fee to buy tickets online (definitely buy online if you can because you can reserve your seat in advance), rewards points add up quickly to get discounts on future purchases, and free upgrade on popcorn and drinks! read more

Visited this theater tonight (October 25th, 2018) to watch the new Halloween movie. There was a group of 5 people whom were very disruptive during the entire film. Yelling, laughing, screaming, talking and even a child waving around a glow stick. After some time of hoping it would die down I decided to make a complaint to the staff. The staff member was already aware of the issue and stated "they're still being loud?", I proceeded to ask if others had complained and they informed me they had received complaints about them already. He came into the theater as a few of them exited (they saw me leave to make a complaint, one even made a comment that my date overhead saying "I think that man just went to complain" The employee stood at the bottom of the steps for maybe a minute and a half, at this point they were quite because they saw him. However he didn't even address the issue of the 7 year old waving a glow stick around in the air. Per this employee and the manager, AMC policy is they have to whiteness the disruption to address it. After informing the manager of it she just advised there was nothing she could do. To say the least, it was overly distracting trying to watch a scary movie over a glow stick and all the chatter from the rest of the group. I'm the future I will drive the extra 10 minutes to a non AMC theater, in hopes for a more peaceful experience. read more

This theater is a big improvement from what use to be known as Movies 10. AMC has something good on their hands here. The sound was amazing, the chairs were super comfortable and you actually has bass. I remember watching movies back then and me and our friends would question if they even has subwoofers. It's under construction right now, but I can't wait to see another movie here. read more

This location is very clean, has a bar for the adults and offers $5 Movie Tuesdays. This location does offer their reclining and assigned seats. Customer Service: The customer service here is great. All staff that I have delt with have taken care of me. The only issue I have run into here is when I decide to get an adult beverage it takes a good minute for a staff member to come to the bar side to serve a drink. I noticed this has happened everytime Ive come here. Quality/Quantity: The quality of all the food is pretty fresh and they do not run out of anything. This review is based on the UPDATED renovation from Starplex to AMC. Came here last night to watch the new Annabelle movie (side note, that movie is meh). Total update here on the inside (outside to me pretty much looks the same). We paid $7.99 for a ticket around 7pm. Not bad. Decide we want food, so head to the food counter. The prices are insanely high. I get that they are at movie theaters. But I feel like this one is just extra expensive. A large soft pretzel and a large drink combo was like $19.99. WHAT?? I got soft pretzel bites and a regular size drink (which to me is basically what a large should be), and I paid $12 and some change. Much better. There is also a bar, but I can't even begin to imagine the prices they are offering, so we left that alone. It looks nice, though. The theater is the show stealer. The seats are reclining and very comfortable. Spacious and lots of room. Also, volume quality is great. All in all, it's a good update on this old theater, just food prices knocked it down a star. read more

I've only been to this AMC once because I'm not typically in this area. That being said, it's a decent theater. One thing I enjoy about AMC is that you can get really cheap tickets for the morning shows. Also, morning shows typically mean that there are less people there, which is an excellent bonus. I can't speak to the changes from the construction, but the lobby area is nice. The concessions are overly priced here like other AMC locations, so purchase at your own peril haha. That being said, this theater has the nice reclining seats and let's you choose where you want to sit. This is a significant plus and would likely make a visit worthwhile if you're in the area. read more

The staff isn't the best either, seems like they don't know everything about their products. The new seats are nice though and the screens are a decent size. I've been going to this theater for upwards of 10 years, and I thought it was awesome then! However, it has improved significantly! To address some of the other reviews: Food IS expensive! Nothing is going to stop that at a movie theater. I feel like everything is overpriced, BUT seeing that you paid only $4.50 to see a brand new movie, I think you can suck it up. As far as complaining about the people that go there and who gets to attend what, they'd be miracle workers to point out every idiot and loud person in the theater before they got there. Also, they ARE one of the only theaters I know of that actually DO come in and check to make sure nothing is wrong. Movies were $3.50, but they are now $4.50/ea. With everything going up, it's no surprise they had to raise the price, but I'm not complaining. It's still half price compared to everywhere else. They ARE IMPROVING SEATING. I agree! Their old seats Sucked! I was just there the other night, and they have new seats in some of the theaters! Comfy ones too! Recliner-like rows. This movie house has normal issues like every other theater, and it has high food prices like every other theater too. However , for a theater that is exceptionally cheap with pretty solid (and improving) seating, no one should have any reason to complain. read more

Movies 10 is owned by Starplex Cinemas. This theatre is one of the mid-priced theatres in Columbus. It's not a dollar theatre, but it's not the Lennox either. They usually have new releases and good show times. The box office is outside, so it has a nostalgic feeling. I think they have about twelve theatres. So, the variety is usually on point. The floor is sticky, yes, and there isn't stadium seating. But for the price, this is a great experience. The sound is good and the screens are decent. Out front, they stock all the movie theatre favorites like Junior Mints and Sour Patch Kids. The bathrooms could definitely be cleaner. Definitely. The theatre isn't usually very busy, so most of the time it's pretty quiet and uninterrupted - unless you get stuck with a bunch of preteens. Parking is super easy. They have a huge lot that hardly ever has many cars in it. It's also right across from a WalMart, so if you're super cheap and kind of sneaky, like me, you can buy your candy at the store and sneak it into the theatre. I know, it's not very moralistic. Bring your student ID for a discount! read more

I have been to this theater on many occasions, enough to warrant a review. For the price of this theater it's worth more than just an average rating. I can't review the food because I NEVER eat at a theater. Strictly something to drink, with that said concessions aren't my review at all. The theater sizes are decent. They play Real-D 3D not IMAX so don't come here for that. They air the newest movies at unbeatable pricing especially for students at $4 for an evening showing. We had no issues with purchasing our tickets and they played a bunch of previews so we didn't miss the start of the movie even though we were about ten minutes late. This theater is always freezing cold no matter what time of year. My boyfriend and I were just there last night and it was almost the same temperature inside as outside and it's winter! It's typically not very tidy and a lot of the condiments are empty. Many times the bar is not open or it's open, but no bartender. The bathrooms are usually dirty and the toilets not flushed. I also wish they'd get some healthier food options. read more

It's cheap, but... The worst seats I have ever sat in. They are leather and angled to dump you onto the floor. It's like sitting in a slide. They tilt back, but the center of gravity is off, so you are constantly pushing down with your feet or contorting your body around to wedge yourself in place. Unorganized, no personality employees who don't care about this place. Getting tickets at the front window, the guy had the personality of a brick. Then we go in to get drinks. Again, employees with no personalities and slow moving. Popcorn and trash on the floor. Several Coca Cola freestyle machines were a mess and needed cleaned. One did not give ice. We then proceed to the person that checks our tickets. In his area there is popcorn and trash. He directs us to our theater #. We are a group of 4 people and 2 of us go to the restroom and see the ticket guy standing down the hall talking on his cell phone. People are walking in looking for him to show their tickets to and even seen them taking pictures showing no one was there and all the popcorn and trash on the floor. So in the theater we get individual lounge chairs with cup holders. This part is pretty cool. So, upon leaving we see that the floors have been cleaned up some. I guess the others that were taking pictures advised management. Don't think we will be back to this disorganized mess. read more

I am someone who regularly goes to the movies and I have never received worse service at a theater. I pay for AMCs Premier Membership program and they would not accept it, even though they advertise it. After speaking to the rude box office attendant I requested a manager who was more rude, and told me I was being too pushy and continued stating that he would not accept my membership. I do not intend to ever go back to this theater, even though I live within a walking distance. read more

This is by far the most ridiculous theater ever. Want a better movie experience, go to a theater who actually cares about how the theater looks. This theater was so dirty, that a broom and a dust pan must be a foreign language. It's also filled with people who cant seem to stop talking during the movie. Went to go see Bad Boys for life today and half the theater was filled with 8-13 year olds who can't seem to sit still or be quiet. And their parents dont give a damn. Want your moneys worth, go to Amc in dublin or Marcus in Worthington. This place is a crap show. I'd give it a negative rating if I could. read more

Recently went to a showering of Black Panther here. I was not impressed at all, very unorganized right when you walk in. If you use the QR code from any ticket app you have to use a kiosk that is not responsive at all. I use the Fandango app, so I got to experience all that "joy". So after I get my ticket there is no one there to scan it. My wife and I along with a few others started waiting when a random employee screamed for us to "just go". Not good customer service at all. So we get into the theater and find our seats. I will say they were decently comfortable. The showing of the film had some sound issues at first but then wasn't to bad. After the show, I go to use the restroom and it smelled like a Porto potty. Very unsanitary to say the least. Most of the workers were younger adults that were more worried about talking or playing on their phones. I will certainly not return unless there are some major changes. In my opinion it is much more worthwhile to go to another theater. read more

We went to see Star Wars on 12/27/17. Ticket pricing was ok for 4 adults. This was our first time at this AMC. The place was very messy. The staff was not friendly. The prices for popcorn and drinks was astronomical!! We ordered 3 regular popcorns and 4 regular drinks and it was $40!! I expect to pay more for these things at a theater, but this is too much. $10 a person for snacks?? When we arrived, the previous movie was still running. There were no benches or places to sit while waiting. We usually go to the Lennox theater and there are plenty of benches there to use if you choose. The theater was nice and the reclining seats were ok for me. Comfortable. The theatre was very cold, however - we were in the back row and could feel the air blowing on us. It was 11 degrees outside and it felt like the AC was on. We had to use our coats to cover up. Tip: Bring a blanket! :) I'm not sure how to contact AMC directly, but this place needs a better manager. There were plenty of people working, but they stood around more than they worked from the looks of the place. read more

This would have a better rating if I didn't have a bad experience here. The seats aren't horribly uncomfortable, but they aren't the worst I've experienced. The place is semi clean, it could use some sprucing up though. The staff was helpful the last time we went in and had some questions though so that is why I do give it a 2 at least. The sound quality is eh. Sometimes the picture quality on the screen fails, other times it's decent, I guess it depends on who's upstairs playing with the movie controls. One minute it's hot one minute it's cold. I think my biggest issue, yes I know that parents control what their kids see, but, it is also up to the discretion of the staff to ask someone to leave the theater, or deny ticket sales to someone under the age of 18 with that being said, the husband and I went to see the newer remake of Freddy with Jackie Earle Haley (love that guy!) and some lady brought her like 5 year old son in! Are you kidding?! There was even a few staff members checking once the movie started doing headcount I guess. The kid screamed and cried almost the whole time and I was disgusted and ready to walk out but didn't I probably should've though. Since then I have not been back to that theater nor will I go back and I tend to stay away from their affiliates if possible.
