Oh wow. I know some people won't appreciate the state of this theatre It really is not updated, and I really like that. Man, it brings me back to the days at Carmike theatres and I can't even put into words how much I appreciate being brought back in time like that. Sure, there is a bunch of things that could use fixing up and more of the areas could be fixed or cleaned, but I was never expecting to be placed in essentially a time capsule. It's an older theatre. It was bought out by AMC a few years ago. It needs a thoroughly cleaning especially the movie theater seats, floors (not just popcorn I mean actual dirt), and the bathrooms are gross but tickets are fairly cheap and the theater is very close to home. It's not usually busy whenever I have come in the past. With it being an AMC theater I always expect more but this place is so NOT more. Today being Memorial Day was busier than I've seen it. So that was surprising. Don''t bother buying tickets or snacks online since you still have to stand in a long line anyways to get the actual tickets. Not sure why that is an option? What's the point? I could have came early and bought them in person. They need two lines- walk-in tickets and snacks purchase, another line for online tickets and snack purchase. I was told this is a "Classic" theatre which is why online tickets don't matter. I have no idea what that means other than the place is outdated (which I don't mind) but no use purchasing online since there is no benefit to you. We were late due to this issue. read more

First time here. I'm guessing there's a serious staff shortage because the front doors didn't open till about 10 mins before the show started. Tickets had to be purchased at the concession stand where people were also getting snacks. Expectedly this slowed down the process (for getting tix). That said, they were only $5 which was great. However, upon entering the theater I realized why. We were in theater 10 which was clearly out dated, and tattered. Classic case of you get what you pay for! That said, given the cost of entertainment, if you're taking the fam out or on a budget come here to save money and still see the latest films. However, if you want to recline, kick your feet up, have a wide variety of hot concession foods....try elsewhere. read more

WOW !! took my kid's friend to watch his FIRST scary movie in a theater and the friend thought this AMC location was part of the theatrics of the horror flick. Sure, we went in for a matinee showtime, the lobby was empty with lights in the Arcade room on, but you cannot enter. The concession area lights were dim, which didn't seem inviting, but enough I guess. There's no line for AMC Stub members, so what's the point of paying THAT subscription. The MENS restroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned since they opened with rust and calcium build up in the sink and urinals. Then to add to the discomfort, the air in the theater was not on or on low. Nope! Not going here again. read more

I'm amazed this theater is still open. It's changed names a few times, and now is an AMC Classic aka, a theater that hasn't been updated in over a decade. Because of this, the ticket prices are lower than more modern theaters, which can certainly be a plus. This place feels like a ghost town. It seems as though there's never anyone working (and that is not a knock on the staff that is there, I've always had positive interactions), most of the bathrooms are usually closed, lights are off in many areas of the theater. Inside the theater itself, the chairs are very old and not very comfortable. Many are broken. The projection and sound quality in the theaters are pretty poor. There's no premium format screens, although the screen in one auditorium (theater 8) is quite large. An anecdote: Back around 2010 this was my go-to movie theater. They were one of the first theaters that I was aware of in the 'burbs to upgrade all of their projects to digital. It was really top of the line. I don't think a single thing has been done to this theater since. Which makes me sad to say. I have a lot of fond memories of this place. read more

First, this is an older theater and appears to be struggling to stay alive. My wife and I go here often for new, top flicks. And some that have been around for a while. The prices are outstanding (we go for the cheap-seat showings) and popcorn is always fresh, crispy, and well-covered with the buttery topping that we request. Sodas are flavorful and easy to dispense. We see films often here and have never had a blurry or otherwise degraded image for any film or the Previews either. Sound quality has always been outstanding. We in a few words have never had a problem with this theater. Give 'em a bit of slack people. They are trying to stay open (we think) and not all the snack counters are open nor all the toilets. Big deal! The theater has always been clean. It may not be perfect but it's darn well worth the money and the time. In this horse-bleep economy a bargain is a nice find. Thanks for being there with new films, some classics, and fresh popcorn. read more

This theater is old, worn,and dirty. I can't believe it is still open. The bathrooms that are open are dirty and in need of serious repairs. They have limited staff,and you always have to wait in line. How is this place passing inspection. It's creepy. I won't go back. read more

The cashiers were very friendly however there was trash and popcorn littered throughout the entire building and it had the distinct smell of a 7/11 bathroom. There was also no paper towels in the bathrooms and broken or dirty seats all over the place. Not mad, just disappointed :( read more

Eh, it's a $6 matinee so you get what you pay for. Seats right out of the 1970s. Mediocre popcorn. Pungent smell as soon as you walk into the theater. There was a big scratch on the movie screen that caused a noticeably large chunk of dead pixels. read more

Staff were friendly, ticket price was good. Went to see Black Phone in theatre 8. Huge screen and plenty of seating for the 7pm show. Now the bad news, the clarity was horrid. Watching previews they had the lights up, so I was hoping that that was the cause of the bad image. You couldn't even make out what was on the left and right of the screen. Now the lights go down and the movie starts, and the clarity is no better. This was 100% not digital. Looked like a projector in high school being shown on a pull down screen. Did I mention terrible? The sound was actually pretty good, but I couldn't get over the poor quality of the screen, I can't go back, it just ruined the movie experience. So even with good ticket price, nice staff, no crowds and very close to my home, I won't go back. read more

I was almost tempted to not go based on others reviews. Went anyway and glad I did. I firmly believe people are using other more updated theaters as a baseline when they should be using a small town theater as one. The price is right, the theater clean, the employees friendly, the seats are comfortable and the food was far better prices than the newer theaters. It was a great experience given we had the appropriate expectations. read more

Classic is another word for old-school. While this used to be a nice theatre, it has gone downhill and there is limited staff. Had to wait nearly 20 minutes to buy tickets at the snack counter as the ticket office seems to be closed permanently due to the large number of taped signs in the lobby. Something was seriously wrong with the projection and I had to leave the theatre to find staff after about 10 minutes into the show. They did get it fixed, but the necessary subtitles at the beginning were mostly obscured as was some of the picture. Ticket prices are lower than other theatres, but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

The staff at this theater is great. I always have a positive interaction with them. This theater was recently purchases and rebranded by AMC. It's not like other AMC theaters around the Twin Cities and the cost of a movie ticket is discounted I believe for the reasons I'll explain. The general feel of the theater is that it's outdated and it almost seems deserted at times. There are restrooms with closed signs, an empty concession stand, the electronic movie title signs don't work above each theater so they used paper signs that tell you where the theaters are based upon the number on your ticket. The restrooms are very old and haven't been updated. Unlike most other AMC theaters I've been to, there isn't a station to put your own salt or butter on your popcorn - the concession staff do it for you. You can purchase tickets online with the mobile app, but there is no reserved seating and the seats don't recline. It's also not clear where to buy tickets when you arrive or who to give your entry ticket to. Overall, it may not be like a modern more up-to-date AMC in the area, but the tickets are discounted to reflect this and the theater was comfortable. We were happy with the popcorn and service we received for the value. read more

I have never been more disappointed in my life. Me and my jolly ol family wanted to go see a movie my younger brother was basically jumping of joy cause he was so excited to see the new bobs burger movie that came out. We got to the movie theater and everything went smoothly, got drinks and popcorn (very over priced may I add) we go into the movie and sit down and watch the trailers. Once the 20 minutes of trailers were over the screen shut off and lights tuned on. We waited for a little bit and then someone went to see what the problem was, they said they would figure it out and then about 10 minutes later a worker came in and said they wouldn't be able to play the movie and we must come to the counter to get a refund. Once we got to the counter they gave the refund but still had to pay a $6 convenience fee Also as a side note their we're also special needs people crying read more
