This used to be my go to theatre but it's been a long time since I been to the movies. My daughter is of age to be interested in movies. So naturally I brought her to "my" movie theatre. The place seems sub par now. And what made the whole experience worse,"was the "arcade. My daughter loves playing the games after. We got tokens, which was lucky since the people after me put $5 in and got 0 tokens, then I used all my $5 in tokens and didn't play one game because every machine was broken but took the money. When I asked the theatre attendant for assistance they said it's another company and they are not allowed to refund any $. And, of course, there is not one phone number on the machines to call. With the already poor condition of the theater in addition to this... Needless to say I will avoid this theatre from now on!! read more

The ticket prices are reasonable but the movie theater needs a MAJOR UPGRADE!!!! The seats are so 1970's, no stadium seating and no reclining chairs!!!! read more

The building is a little run down outside but the inside is nice! And I love how they decorated the windows for the Mario movie! The seating was nice! A little pricey but that was expected. read more

We rarely go out to the movie, prefer to stream from home, but we wanted the see "Reagan". The movie was good, but the theater is a dump, one could tell just by walking into the entrance as the windows appear to not have been cleaned for years, the theater is filthy, and it smells of dirt, the seats are also hard as rocks. I read a post from some out of towners criticizing our theater, because it's not modern. Well it's clean, and suits me just fine and I can be a California snob just the same. Morris is a small town it's not a metropolis and thank goodness we have a decent place to watch movies. And the price we pay to watch a movie here is icing on the cake in Ca prices are upwards of 18$ no ones is going to pay that price here. So leave your criticism at the door come in, buy popcorn, candy, get a beverage and most of all enjoy the movie. read more

Very clean, great price, they are we very friendly. They always have the newest releases. So many choices to watch.

This theater was OK, the snacks are great and the movie, I saw was one I was looking forward to seeing and was great. However, I have several pros and cons of the theater I want to point out. Pro: The building on the outside is beautiful and looks amazing and the entrance is pretty & Cons: the snacks were overpriced, the carpet was not clean and just plain dirty the seats were extremely uncomfortable, the bathrooms were not very clean, the lobby looked plain tacky and not very clean. Obviously my cons are things people already know or stated already. This place obviously needs work and needs a complete overhaul! I will call or email them and let them know, what needs to change. This place is run down. Once you start walking down the hallway towards the theatre the awful smell hits you. Seats are disgusting in the theatre's. Shined my phone flashlight on them. Most (about 99%) were filthy and stained. Everything felt sticky that you touched. Bathrooms looked like someone just took a towel and wiped everything down using the same towel for the whole bathroom. Smears of filth everywhere in the bathroom. The two stars are for the price. But all the theaters have blown speakers. Seating is from before there was even stadium seating. It smells bad in there too. But $3.99 isn't a bad price. I would not recommend anything to see there that you need quality. It's just an old old run down theater. And the staff is rather inexperienced. But that's not their fault. Just know they've cut every corner they can and put no money back into it. AMC should be ashamed. Not quality at all. read more

From the outside, this place already looked run down but it was the closest theater to my relative's place in Morris and we didn't want to make the long drive to another theater. The seats were super uncomfortable. My neck and butt were aching by the end of the movie. And the theater itself is really small, too so you won't get a wide selection of movies and movie times. The surround system is mediocre and the screen isn't as big as other theaters I have been to. read more

This place is awful, dont waste your money here. The ceiling fell and hit me and my child. Which it hit my child in the head. I filled out an incident report back in march with the asst manager Patricia, which she had no idea what she was doing. Was told someone would contact me to follow up. The is our little theater of Morris IL. Yeah it may be run down a bit but to have it available to us is a great asset.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!! Complete dump. The most dirty place I have ever been. Frankly I should of walked out. Prices are through the roof. They obviously put 0 money into this place for maintenance or just good housekeeping. Pools of water or probably pop lined auditorium floors. Carpet was covered in trash everywhere. Seats are probably the worst I've ever sat in. The walls in this place were so tore up you might think it was an abandoned theater. I got the feeling walking up to the front doors that maybe this was a bad idea. However my two kids had their hearts set on watching peter rabbit. There is zero chance that this place would pass a health department check! I would advise everyone to call and complain directly to AMC (877-262-4450). Complaining to who's running this Morris location will go nowhere. This place needs an overhaul immediately top to bottom. read more

Had 4 quarters asked for a dollar( because you needed tokens to play the games and one dollar turns into 4 tokens) they didn't have the key so I waited for 5+ minuets Put 4 tokens (1$) into the machine and it was broken and stole my coins and wouldn't give them back I went to register politely asked for a dollar that the machine stole, they got the manager and refused to give me the dollar and said it was my fault that I put my money in the machine( did not say it was broken and the lights were on)+ the movie was filthy like they cleaned it once a day, old popcorn on the carpet read more

We LOVE this classic theater! We travel 24 miles just to get there, but it is well worth it! Without its low prices we could NEVER treat our kids to a movie & treats out. The kids don't care that it's not one of those new fancy theaters with recliners & such. They are just excited to go to a movie of their choice! The restrooms are always clean, the staff is super nice, you cant beat the price on that huge plastic refill bucket & free drink refills too! read more

We visited this theatre on july 21st. We sat down in theatre 1 and it smelled very strong like Urine. We moved to the front of the theater and it still smelled like urine. The upholstery smelled. The movie had not even started and we left. read more

Reasonably priced, relatively clean and you don't necessarily need to go to Joliet for a movie.

Not a bad theater to go to if you're looking to watch an OK movie. Prices are reasonable and Stimulus Tuesday provides a great discount deal on matinee tickets and popcorn/drink combos. Personally, I'd still go to Cinemark at Joliet Mall for big-time movies and midnight tickets (they carry a bigger selection of movies and, man, tiered seating), but overall Orpheum's a decent theater. Clean, good-natured employees and lots of parking, plus an arcade section for small children. read more

My son and I have visited this location four times now and have only had good experiences. Tickets are reasonably priced, they have a large concession selection with clean theaters that play the latest movies... We drive a little further to go here instead of local - it's worth it. read more

Absolutely terrible.. Came on a Saturday night, first off the popcorn was cold, asked for extra butter and didn't receive any. Sat down in a very uncomfortable chair throughout a movie with an OK sound system and not a very good image. I've been going to this theatre for almost 15 years but have stopped since the theatre opened at Louis Joliet Mall because it is a much better experience. Update your theatre, I mean come one. With the prices of your tickets and concessions you'd expect some improvements in equipment. Get with it!! Other than that, no sticky floors which was nice. read more

Its been awhile since I've been to this theater and it's really gone downhill. Service for getting tickets and popcorn was a bit slow. Upon entering hallway to theaters, there was popcorn spewed all over the carpet. The 3d recepticle bins we're overflowing with glasses. After the show, I went to use the women's restroom which was which unacceptable! Trash bin overflowing and months, if not years of dirt & grime built up. read more

We decided to go to a movie tonight so we drove from Channahon to Morris to see a 8:55 movie. We went up at 8:45 to buy the tickets and were told the manager already closed out and it was closed. I said it can't be closed, the movie didn't even start yet!!! She went and talked to the manager and came out and said she was sorry but the manager already closed the registers!! I showed her my phone and said the movie hadn't even started yet. She said "Oh yeah... Google messes up their times and the movie started at 7:55" Seriously??? The manager couldn't even waste her time to come out and explain it herself. Don't waste your time! Go to Cinemark.. it costs more but you get what you pay for. Shame on you AMC! read more

I gave it another chance but i think this was our last trip to the Morris Theater. Its not just the prices (which are terrible ). Its the cold popcorn, the old dirty bathrooms, the popcorn spilled all over the floor in the hallway with no employees to take ur tickets. But worst of all when we went to get our seats there were empty cups and popcorn bags still in cup holders and on chairs. It looked like the apocalypse but it realistically was simply that the staff hadnt cleaned in there all day. The floors are always sticky but garbage all over was a new thing. Im not talking a couple cups. Im talking a dozen and at least three popcorn bags. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY. Its such a shame. Idk if its management (lack of, that is) or ownership (step up AMC) but its just getting worse and worse. read more

Absolutely awful. I came here with two friends and I paid $9.25 for a ticket and we were asked very rudely to leave because one of my friends was swearing while there were worse words said in the previews for the movie. Did not get a refund. This is the most awful movie theater I've ever been to and I only got to watch the first half hour of the movie. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra miles to the Joliet movie theater. Awful movie theater. Seats too small, smelled awful, just don't do it. We didn't recirve a verbal warning we were just asked to leave. read more
