It cost me $50 for my daughter & myself to watch a new movie tonight. Movie was great, maybe 8-10 of us in this theater room for movie. I got 2 tickets, 1 icee drink, 1 dippen dots ice cream, and 1 order of parmeson pretzel bites, $50 for all of that! The pretzel bites are not supposed to be crunchy! Prices are too high, theater needs major upgrades to compete with other local theaters! I don't see this place staying open much longer, sad to say. Not trying to be mean, just honest and truthful. How has this theater not gone out of business!? It will soon--I promise you that. My first time here since about 15 years (usually go to Fairchild), and what a dump! The popcorn/sodas were highway robbery--$50 for 2 hotdogs, 1 large popcorn, and a small flatbread pizza. Old movie theater seats--not comfortable. Small screen. Commercials before movie was legit 30 min (seems like 10-15 with Fairchild). Staff was okay--it was nice of them to hire a developmentally disabled person--but the theater itself was underdeveloped and disabled. Bathrooms smelled like urine and the entire place BADLY needs a makeover. Their staff has dwindled because it's obvious they're not making money. Seen the opening day of Minecraft and there was only a couple and a family of four besides us there. Kinda nice it was empty--but kinda sad too. Nice lot and location for any investors. read more

This place only gets 2 stars for the awesome customer service! Wouldn't come here again because it's so outdated and inside theater 5, the seats were so worn out with stains on the seats and the head part. It smelled so bad. Just felt really gross. Needs a major remodel, replace the seats with wipeable leather or do a really deep cleaning to extract all the dirt and stains off the cloth seats. read more

I like this theater a lot. But it's a hit and miss when it comes to the cleanliness. I prefer this quiet place with better prices and the BEST popcorn. I choose this theater over the Fairchild because it's not as busy and it's so much cheaper. The Tuesday $5.00 movie is a great deal! The popcorn is do much cheaper than the other theaters. The employees are nice too and there aren't ever long lines. I just wish people would respect the place a lot more and throw their own trash away. when it comes to watching movies in tri cities, i will unfortunately not be supporting the old & dying AMC theater... i'll drop the extra money at fairchild, the seats are worth it alone. i have been to handfuls of movie theaters in my lifetime & have NEVER been asked to take my feet off of the back of an empty seat... i get it, believe me. but based off of all the other reviews, the upkeep & maintenance of this theater are obviously not their priority. it's dirty, it's old, it's in desperate need for a remodel. when a man wearing reindeer ears & a mask came up asking my boyfriend & i to remove our feet from the back of their old, outdated & graffitied seats... safe to say i was SHOOK... also considering he didn't ask anyone else in the theater to do this, as some people were not only putting their feet in the cupholders of the seats in front of them, but taking up an entire extra seat next to them. not to mention the children running around screaming??? yeah i will unfortunately not support this business anymore. if they die out, they have nobody to blame but themselves. i tried routing for the underdog, but you get what you pay for. cheap tickets stand for poor experience. shoutout to the people at the front counter though! they kindly gave us our refund, after the reindeer man came aggressively storming out after us. read more

Went to see new Batman movie... but the conditions of this AMC were so poor! This place is filthy, the restrooms were disgusting, the theatre was sticky and smelly, and the staff was beyond unprofessional. I witnessed their white manager demean and threaten to call the police on a Hispanic customer and his family who pre purchased tickets because they wouldn't put on a mask. I, however walked in no problem unmasked. I'm disgusted and will never return to this business or likely to any AMC until they start to do better. read more

This place is aw-ite. yeah, they have digital projection, but is there more to life? I think, yes. One of my biggest pet peeves is people talking in movies. I know it's not the theaters fault, but I just have to vent. I'd like to go to a movie, for once, without hearing some manner-lacking hicks yelling about their joyous day on the river, or how much it cost them to replace their windshield. Jeez people! Have some consideration for other people---WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR LIFE's INNER WORKINGS! Hmmm...ok, enough venting. I actually get this at most theaters I go to nowadays. I just thought I wouldn't get it by going to an "artsy fartsy" film which was a matinee. I thought I'd get the 50-somethings who would be civil and cool. I was mistaken. Ok, back to the theater. Kudos for them showing an independent movie once every 16weeks. I should divulge one story though. I went here years ago and my mission was to movie hop---pay for and see one movie, and then hop onto another movie (think it was a Lord of The Rings movie and The Piano). Anyway, for my sustenance, I brought in some Chinese take out and a beverage (all this was probably less than a med-sized popcorn from the theater). Popcorn station and concession stand closes within 5 minutes of starting the last show, so you cannot possibly get a popcorn refill nor cam you get any kind of service after the show starts. All the theaters in the TC are about equal in most areas: all about as clean on any given day, customer service about as equally adequate, concessions all ridiculously priced. Having said that, here is my take on Carmike. I like the popcorn here better than just about any other theater. Can't really tell you why. Just seems fresher. Bathrooms usually really clean which impresses me as it can be hard to keep up with a flock of movie goers sometime. When I was a kid theaters still had character and unique designs, so Carmike loses there. Overall, if I am going to pay to see a movie, Carmike is ok. read more

I wish this theater would get an upgrade and with regal closing across the street , they could see more business (albeit the regal across the street is awful) It would be nice to see the recliners that most AMC theaters have or other AMC perks like a kiosk - there use to be a ticket counter/window that is not used anymore from what I can see - and you get your tickets at the concession stand. The employees are so nice and helpful though. The popcorn I had last night was inedible- stale and nasty - It's never crowded which I like and parking is a breeze. Average theater. The seats are more comfortable than the mall's and the staff seems friendly enough; however, we had just sat down in our movie (it was an 11:30pm show)... I came out to get some drinks for my wife and I and there was no one at the counter. So, after waiting a few minutes (missing my movie) finally someone walked up and said, "Sorry, the concessions are closed." What? I just paid $20 bucks to watch 10 minutes of commercials and now they won't even sell me beverages? Closed??? Are you kidding me? I'm HERE! I'm watching a movie in their theater!!!! How is it closed?? Absolutely stupid! So... no drinks, no candy, no popcorn. LAME!!! I walked back in to a frowning wife and it just made our date night a little less wonderful... Thankfully, I was with my wife, which always makes the date wonderful - zero thanks to Carmike! The best news out of this experience is that I saved another $20 bucks because I didn't have to waste it on the lousy WAY TOO HIGH prices! Since I can't get service anyway, I'm just going to sneak in my own food and drinks next time... or maybe I'll just go over to Fairchild in Pasco, which has more comfortable seating and better prices and selection of food. I have heard many rumors about the AMC in Kennewick, but decided to try it myself. Such an awful experience! At the prices, not worth it at all! Took 5 grandchildren to see toy story 4. Went to the 12:30 showing. Previews went 22 minutes and actual movie not starting until 12:52. That was a chunk of their attention span. Then the lights turned on before the movie was over, so it ruined the ending act and attention span done at this point. I'll stick with Fairchild! With home entertainment systems what they are today, going to the theater is special time and experience. Nothing special at AMC! read more

Went to a late showing of Steve jobs last night. Before the movie started I used the restroom closest to our theatre. As soon as I walked in the smell of raw sewage hit me. It was terrible. Enjoyed the movie itself even though the projectors aren't as good as fairchilds. Before leaving I had to use the restroom again so I chose the one closest to the main lobby. Encountered a dirty bathroom with one stall with no lock, another stall with fecal matter on the seat before just giving up and waiting til I got home. Clean this place up. read more

The good: Great screen, projectors and sound. Bathrooms are pretty good, and clean most of the time. Cinemas reasonably clean. The bad: The smell. Awful musty smell in the cinemas. Customer service is fast enough, but the workers are obviously not very happy to be there and it shows. Especially when you consider... The unforgivable: When you pay as much as you do for the concessions and part of the selling point is "FREE REFILL", then the customer should get their refills. Period. But, the apparently unhappy staff is in such a hurry to get out that if you happen to wait until your movie is over to get your "FREE REFILL" as you exit the theater, you will walk into a lobby that more resembles a ghost town with no popcorn, dismantled soda machines, and no staff to be seen. And if you are lucky enough to see a member of the staff during this time and ask for the refill that you paid mightily for, they will simply, if not rudely, tell you "No". My wife and I have a 1 and 6 record on actually getting our refills. The only positive is that we were only told "No" once. Every other time there is no staff to be found. The other theaters in the area make it a point to make sure you get your refills by saving some of the popcorn and keeping one soda machine open until the theater closes. The Carmike does not, and couldn't seem to care less. Go to the Fairchild in Pasco if you are able. If you aren't, go to the mall just across the way, and maybe the Carmike will get the message. The screens and sound are very good (thats why I gave 2 stars), though the only thing that is likely to bring us back is the feature selection, or a lack of a particular selection in other theaters. read more

We just recently moved here from California and AMC has ALWAYS been my go to and the locations were everywhere. Unfortunately, this Kennewick is the only one for miles!! Culture shock* This theater was Carmikle? but bought by AMC and it is disgusting!!! As soon as you walk in, it smells like a rest room. I'm not sure how else to put it but it smells like OLD. This theater needs to be refurbished ASAP. It has odors and stains all over the carpets and seats. My time at the movies is no longer enjoyable. Please AMC I'm begging you to please give this movie theater of yours some TLC. read more

This is not a bad theatre. There is nothing really good or bad to say about it. I think the seating is fairly comfortable and the video quality is good. I recommend eating before you show up because the snack bar prices are pretty high. The fact that the theatre is in the mall is an upside. You can always get some shopping done and catch a flick on any Sunday. read more

This theater is absolutely horrible. The carpets smell like urine. Correction, everything smells like urine. The chairs are shot. The bathrooms are revolting. I am here at 7pm on a Thursday and the aisles are full of trash. Aside from the staff performing a quick sweep between shows, I don't think a janitor has been here in a week. Yeah, I agree in many ways with the other review, though, in my experience, even in the "big city," indie/foreign films are only shown at crappy theaters (as in keep your feet up on the seat or you'll feel the mice running over them and tread carefully or the stickiness might just remove your shoes). I do have to give them credit for the whole DLP thing, though (saw WALL-E, the outstanding new Pixar flick, and it looked beautiful). Only theater in town with it? Geez. Even LSC (...SUCKS!!) has digital surround sound with 7000 W of amplification, and they're run by a bunch of punk kids on the MIT campus. It's sad when you get beat by a bunch of kids who charge less than half of what you're charging. read more

Don't come to see a blockbuster on this screen. Too small, great for kids movies and dramas though. Ticket prices are reasonable, but $20 + for 2 sodas and a popcorn? I know you pay more at the theaters, but this was a bit spendy. read more
