Popped in unplanned to see Deadpool and escape the heat over the weekend. Sunday matinee tickets were a little over 11 bucks, which isn't that cheap but isn't the worst either. I love the assigned seating and the reclining chairs with a little movable tray/desk thing is pretty great. Although if you're not quite the right height the headrest can feel a tad awkward. The self-serve ticket purchase machines are really easy to use, and are nice for those of us who like to skate in ten minutes before the movie starts or if you just hate human interaction. read more

Went to dress up as a character from a film like most people would do to dress up for Spider-Man to be told by a 18 year old worker that masks are not allowed in their theater even though people were laughing and having a good time with me. 18 year old didn't look to be a manager. This is currently the best the Tri-Cities has to offer cinematically. Fairchild is new, and by being away from the mall, it probably get a below-normal flow of mall rats. The bucket seats are nice and comfy. The lobby is nice and open and has tables and chairs to hang out at while you're waiting for your movie. The concession area is of the "serve yourself" variety. Recently saw the midnight showing of Quantum of Solace, and was surprised to see a very chill atmosphere. read more

Sure, it's a nice theater but they've pissed me off. Before we were able to enter the theater we were stopped by a guy wearing a batman t-shirt and jeans telling me I needed to "give him my purse" I was confused and told him no I wasn't going to do that since he didn't even look like a staff member. I actually thought it was a joke. He insisted that I leave it with him and I told him I would rather just leave it in my car. In light of recent events, I understand the rule but I think it would have been a lot less confusing if we were told initially by a staff member wearing a uniform when we bought the tickets that I would not be allowed to take my purse inside. Or maybe a sign stating the recent rule change. I didn't get irritated until I walked out of the movie theatre and every other person had their purses with them (and I'm talking tote bag sized purses compared to my purse (which was equivalent to a large clutch). They need to enforce the rule for everyone and not pick and choose. And I understand some staff members were wearing Batman shirts because of the new Batman movie but it doesn't look very professional without a nametag or any identification stating you work at the theatre. I also have to wonder how they keep the bags organized... there didn't seem to be a bag check of any kind and on a busy night how would they know which bag is mine? Fairchild in Pasco is part of a small, regionally owned chain of theaters. They offer a pretty sizeable number of screens, fix it yourself drinks and popcon, and reasonable prices. Fairchild is a BIG improvement over the other two options - Regal and Carmike (see Gabe C.'s review on this point) and offers moviegoers an opportunity to support a wider variety of films. They have a wider variety of food than the others options in town and serve Coke products. Fairchild has great equipment - all brand spanking new projectors and sound. It looks great, sounds great, and has very little bleed-through across screens. Trust me on this point - it can be a big deal. The seats are VERY comfortable and the facility has a nice open feel to it. They also offer a kiosk that allows you to buy tickets, or pick up pre-purchased tickets, without waiting in line with the masses. This is a big help. Fandango is nearly useless to the impatient when you have to wait in the regular line - like at Carmike. If you are a local and have the choice of where you see the movie, give Fairchild a shot - you won't be disappointed. read more

If there is another theater in the Tri Cities that even comes close to Fairchild then you are living in an alternate world. From the seats that rock, the wide aisles to sit in, the floors that aren't sticky to the large friendly staff out front you can't find a better theater. The only issue I have is that there is a theater in town that offers $5 movies from 4 to 5:30. It would be the icing on the cake if Fairchild did something similar. I've been here a few times. This is undoubtedly the best theater in the Tri Cities. It's beautiful inside, spacious, clean, comfortable seats, huge selection of snacks, great sound and picture, etc. The thing that held them back from a five-star rating isn't directly their fault, but every time I come here, there is some obnoxious person or child who takes away from the experience. Do people not understand the concept of an "inside voice" or that it's not right to bring a 7 year old to the late showing of "Bridesmaids" or an infant to see HP7.2? Get a sitter for your kids and keep your conversation down! read more

Stopped in last night for a 10:15 showing of the movie Annabelle. Pretty awesome movie for a horror flick as a prequel to The Conjuring. First off we get our tickets, the teenage kid says $20...i said wait a minute bro, i can buy this movie for that price when it comes out. i chuckle and says i guess no homie hookup huh and proceed to pay for my ticket for me and my lovely date with the wifey. We arrived to the theatre around like 8:45 pm and there was a showing at 9:30 and 10:15 so we chose the latter showing at 10:15 since all of y'all know that if you show up late to a box office hit, your going to sit near the front of the theatre next to the handicapped section..oh wait I'm wrong handicapped people will most definitely get better seating. So since we had plenty of time to kill, we went ahead and took advantage of getting our large drink and large popcorn(best flavored) while we waited in line with a bunch of gothic freaks while wondering to myself why the gang bangers wear a shirt that is like 3 times bigger than their body size. Getting a large popcorn is not a good idea even tho your guaranteed a free refill. Only way ill see this to be advantageous to you is if you went in a big party and play it smart. Finally we arrived to our preferred stadium seat about half way up the steps. i sit down and comfortable in their chair which has the ability to rock back and forth. One difference i noticed about Fairchild is that it has a decent leg room game. i like to stretch my legs from time to time and hate at other theaters when i accidentally kick their seat, cause i hate when it happens to me. i wish the arm rest had a cushion to cover the plastic since its not that great to rest your arm there but it lets you raise the arm rest up so i guess I'm really hard on theaters since a date will normally run you an average of $30-50 depending on what you get. Customer service: 4 Not too shabby, wish the guy selling the tickets would greet us Value: 1 2 tickets, lg drink lg popcorn, nachos with cheese and a box of candy $40+ Restrooms: 2 Bin was full and quite dirty compared to their lobby and theatre in general I still think its the best theatre in the Tri-Cities but for the price its a little spendy, but we attend the movies for the experience! Awesome place, this is the only Cinema I go to since they open, the couches are comfy, the only thins is that sometime is a bit chilly, but nothing too bad. I love that they sell nachos and you can put all the jalapenos and cheese you want and also for the popcorn you can put more butter yourself if you are a butter lover. The prices are ok, and the place is always clean the entrance is very welcoming and there is enough room to walk around even when the place is full, you can find a seat to wait. They also sell pizza and Ice Cream. I love this place I can go and watch 2 movies in a row and still want more. read more

Definitely the best of the three movie theaters we have in the Tri-Cities. Positives: very comfortable seats, great sound and video quality, clean lobby area with games and plenty of space for when it's crowded, self-serve concessions (which usually make for less waiting in lines). Negatives: only one ticket counter. Usually not a problem unless it's really crowded, but I think they should add more. Then again, all of the local theaters suffer from long lines in this situation, so Fairchild is no different than the others. read more

Last night I went to watch Gran Torino at this theatre, with a real sweet guy I might add. It was the first time I'd been there. It is a great theatre with lots of seating in the center area. This theater was a HUGE addition to the tri-cities. We needed a new theater bad! The other two in Kennewick by the mall are dirty, old and always smell like wet carpet. Not a fun experience. Not only that but the pasco Fairchild Cinema does not have all the teens loitering around all weekend. It's mostly families and couples that head out to pasco. There's a much more mature crowd in pasco. The theater itself is very well laid out. The Coffee counter is awesome. They let you serve your own nachos and soda's. And they do one thing we all wish every theater would. they ask how you want your popcorn (no salt, butter in the middle, etc.) This is such a clean theater and NOTHING smells like dirty carpet! LOL Oh, and the screens... wow. Digital theaters are so amazing. If you're going to see 3D in the Tri-Cities... gotta do it at Fairchild! read more

This was one of the worst movie theater experiences I have ever had. We were at the 1:30 PM Jurassic World showing on 6/15/2015. I am from Colorado but I was in town visiting family in the Tri-Cities. During one of the climatic parts of the movie, a speaker in the back malfunctioned and started spewing white noise really loud throughout the theater. It was so loud that many people had to leave. After about 5 minutes, they were able to silence the speaker (a long time in my book, but that isn't why I am frustrated with them), and after about 5 more minutes an employee came in to say they were resetting the movie back to before the issue and we would be given refunds/vouchers. That would have been a perfect solution and not grounds for a 1 star review. However, they reset the movie to the wrong spot so we missed some of the critical plot right when the action was starting, and afterwards they refused to give any refunds/vouchers because we stayed and watched the movie, a direct contradiction to what we were told. I will not be visiting the theater again. read more

Of the three (a forth being constructed in West Richland currently) theaters in the Tri-Cities, Fairchild has rising to the top. The facility and stadium theater seating (rocking chairs!) is nice and, despite the ever-present stray popcorn kernels, quite clean. The movie selection is always the most impressive - generally getting all the big movie titles whereas Carmike and Regal have a few here and there that will interest all movie-goers. The concessions are fairly standard, providing all sorts of expensive goodies including a few frozen treats. What this and every theater in the Tri-Cities lacks is some uniqueness. What I wouldn't do for a non-standard theater with strange drinks and food and a nice mix of new and old movies. . . read more

I usually go here and I don't usually have any complaints, it's a standard movie theater. However, I recently went and wanted to use my own cup to put my soda in (in order to reduce my waste and what not) but they wouldn't let me. It was a 24 oz cup which sounded about similar to their sizing and I wasn't trying to get anything out of it, I was going to pay the full price and fill my cup up one time only. They said I could only get water. This was a very disappointing experience to me because I want to be able to enjoy things I normally do while being more environmentally conscious. I'm also curious to why using my own cup would be a problem and I would love an explanation! read more

Love this place! It is very clean, great screens and sound, comfortable seats and the concessions are awesome! There are many more options, and being able to get a good coffee to enjoy with the movie should be a state law. The concessions are overpriced, just like everywhere else, but unfortunately this is how these places make their money. So next time you see a Hollywood production about evil greedy bastages, remember what you paid for popcorn since Hollywood's unwillingness to share the wealth is the reason. Customer service is well above average also, and the lobby seating is pretty sweet. There really isn't anything bad to say about this place, and if you get up to Moses Lake for any reason, the only cinema there is a Fairchild as well. read more

I had to write a review due to the most recent experience I had here. Normally, I would give Fairchild a great review, but today I can't. As we arrived at the theater, I really had to use the restroom. So my wife waited in a long line for tickets while I went off to the bathroom. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom unless I had a ticket. I had to wait until my wife got tickets after a long wait. I was surprised that they made a rule that you have to have a ticket to use the restroom. Doesn't show a lot of faith in the patrons. read more

This was my favorite theater in the tri-cities. Today the manager (I assume. She was wearing a black shirt with beige slacks) accused my son of trying to steal water and pop as he was in line to pay. She then proceeded to ask him three times if he had bought the popcorn today or another day when he went for a refill. She was extremely rude and didn't seem appreciative of our business. I am definitely willing to pay a little more to go to the other theaters in town. This is now my least favorite one. read more

Yeah, the seats rock and mine had a bit of a busted suspension, so be careful if you show up tipsy. Good movie-viewing from those seats, and the place is pretty new, so it's not as krusty as the other theaters in town. The place is definitely crowded in the summer, but they do have tables and chairs for you to hang out in if you end up having to go to a later show cuz the one you meant to see is sold out... read more

What a way to spend your New Year's Eve night. We are truck drivers and we have been in Pasco , Washington all day due to the fact we can not deliver our load until tomorrow, the 1st. So, we decided to head to the Fairchild Cinemas - Pasco movie theater we have visited here before to spend the day watching movies. We decided to watch three movies. After seeing the first two, one of which was a packed theater, we go to see the last movie and are asked to leave due we smell like cigarette smoke. So, if you are ever in the Pasco, Kennewick, Richland or Grandview, Washington areas, please do not visit this establishment, especially if you smoke. We feel this was unfair and discriminatory against us. read more

Been going to this theater since it first opened and have always had a plesent visit. We went to see a early afternoon showing of the mocking jay at 3:35 after checking the times online. However when we got to the theaters the times did not match what was in the theater, and next showing was not available until 4:15. The manager was very nice and expressed it was their fault for the messed up times on the website and offered us a large free popcorn for the inconveince. It was a nice gesture as most places wouldn't even bother for the inconvenience. read more

Love this theater, but ever since they let go Mr Bisel as GM, it has struggled to be the same high quality theater. Customer service has decreased substantially. Also attention to cleanliness has gone down. If I were the owners, I'd get mr Bisel back ASAP! read more

Positive The theatres and seating are great. I especially like the wide aisles. People can get past you without you having to stand up. The place is generally not too crowded. They have some other food options that the other theatres don't, but fall down on the basics - good popcorn. They have a good variety of movies and you rarely have to wait in line, which is a frequent occurance at Carmike. Negative When you pay $10 for a bag of pop corn and a drink you expect quality. Their popcorn is poor quality and their butter flavored topping is an oily substance with some buttery flavoring that is always good for indigestion and some gas. Is real butter that expensive? I live near this theatre but prefer the other theatres,. because good popcorn is just part of the movie experience. Cleanliness is obviously not a priority at this theatre. I hope they will get the message, since other than the popcorn I like this theatre. read more

I saw a review on here and it was one of the most laughable and unnecessary things ever. I came here to watch Venom, I followed the movie theaters rules, and I enjoyed myself. I recommend coming here because it's a lovely environment; not too many people and everything went perfect especially when I saw a teenage employee open up the nacho cheese box to check on it and he spilled the entire thing out. Hilarious, I hope he didn't get fired or chewed out too hard for that. read more
