I am saddened to hear that the theater will close in 2027 - i go often for something to do. The…read moretheater itself is quite nice and no complaints about that. A local church, which already took over a fantastic business and forced it out of business, is again ruining Walla Walla. Cinemark says they will build a new theater but i doubt that will happen. We will now have to drive OUT OF TOWN JUST TO SEE A MOVIE! Walla Walla is pathetic. If you are reading this and are thinking of moving here - then think again. There is absolutely NO social outlets (except CHURCH or wine tasting) here - you will be bored out of your minds. Poor healthcare, no social amenities. Oh, there is enough wine to stay drunk if that's your thing. If you think you're going to do "outdoorsie" activities then you are mistaken. You don't want to end up on some property you're not supposed to be on or you'll be shot at - no kidding. I hate this town and if i had the money would leave. (BTW - my family has lived here since the beginning. My great grandfather moved here sometime in the late 1800's so i have EVERY right to be this bummed out!)
