Wow what didn't we do with Ambrosia! We booked them for our 9/8 wedding for: Videoagrapher 1955 Ford Thunderbird Tent w/ swag and chandeliers Dancefloor Photobooth Flowers DJ Hair & Makeup Everything on that list went so smoothly! I didn't have a single stressful moment my wedding day and it was all because of Allen and his amazing team. Tent was set up the day before and Allen was there to make sure of it and even sent me a sneak peak to get me all excited. Natalie, the hair and make up artist, was on time and followed exactly what I wanted. My hair and make up lasted ALL NIGHT! The fact that she is the friendliest sweetest person is just the cherry on top. Flowers: had to be delivered to 3 different locations by a certain time, and of course they delivered amazing flowers. We did mock a few months before and changed a few things, and the talented Amanda followed that exactly! One of the most memorable experiences was having the time alone with my husband in the Tbird! So much fun driving with the top down! It was delivered at the chapel as requested and picked up at the venue and arranged, all by Allen! Photo booth was maned at all times and set up was quick! So many fun pictures we got from our guest! It was a wonderful idea! The DJ answered all my questions before the wedding and had great recommendations for songs we hand't picked. Also his jokes and lightness kept the wedding fun! Andrew the videographer was on time and always shooting. Can't wait to see it all! They really make my wedding day amazing. It would not have been the same without them. Also, you can imagine how great it is to have a single detailed and caring vendor for almost everything! read more

We used Ambrosia as our photographer to our wedding last Sept. 8, 2013. We met Allen the first time and we booked him right away. He was wonderful. Answered all our questions and helped us put our wedding ideas together. Allen and Michelle did an excellent job! We sent them pictures of what we wanted our wedding would look like and they did what/how we wanted. Special thanks to Allen for taking great pictures with our family members especially having a baby at our wedding party. Can't stop smiling looking on how great they all turned out! BOOKED FOR: Day of Wedding Coordinator DJ Photographer Hair & Makeup We came across Ambrosia because we were in need of a Day of Wedding Coordinator. If we didn't have one, our venue was going to charge us more. Were we happy to find out that Ambrosia was pretty much a one stop shop for all our wedding needs. And an excellent one at that. Turns out Ambrosia would be the source for our photographer, hair and make up, day of coordinator, and our DJ. We had shopped around many bridal shows and needed to find a photographer who could capture light and dark skin tones together. When we met with Allen and Jina to figure out our needs, they were patient, fun, and attentive. They made sure we understood what Ambrosia could offer and there was no pressure to book, because Ambrosia Event Services sells itself. We were sold when Allen said they typically have couples do a practice photoshoot before your engagement shoot. There they will teach to how to stand and pose, so that your wedding photos will look more comfortable. Wow! Such attention to detail! Walter, our photographer, was Amazing! He was professional, funny, took beautiful shots, and captured exactly what we asked. He also threw in some surprise shots as well. For the wedding, we worked with Walter and Andrew, and having two photographers allowed us to capture almost every moment possible. Khaye, did my wife's hair and makeup. She did a practice run as promised a few days before the wedding and was really kind and attentive. My wife looked very natural and gorgeous. We had a death in our family weeks before our wedding and the venue kept changing our walkthrough day. Ambrosia was completely understanding and did everything they could to make all appointments with our venue. Due to the death in our family, we weren't able to meet extensively with DJ Jose, but we spoke on the phone often, and he was able to get all of our requested music and kept the party fun and light. Lastly, Amanda and Ashley stepped in as our Day of Coordinators and it seemed like they had been with us throughout the whole two years of planning. They were absolutely AMAZING! The entire day went off without an issue. They were able to connect with our videographers, decorating staff, and chefs to ensure that we had the most beautiful and fun day. Words cannot express how thankful we are to have found Ambrosia. Even if you're like me and have everything together, you will be pleasantly surprised to find that Ambrosia can add something to your special day that you never knew you needed. My wife and I had a great experience working with Ambrosia during both planning and the day of our wedding. They have had many years of experience working with our venue in Long Beach but at the same time were willing to create a unique experience for us catered to our vision of the big day. The pictures and video turned out better than we imagined, our guests had a blast in the photo booth, and the bridal party's hair and makeup turned out great. They even offered free photo workshops leading up to the wedding so we could practice and get the most out of our wedding photos. The entire staff was friendly, enthusiastic, and generally seemed ecstatic to be working our wedding. Ambrosia was quick to respond to us when we had questions or concerns. Highly recommend especially if you are having your wedding at the Japanese Gardens at Cal State University Long Beach. read more

Found them on yelp, I was looking for a videographer literally a week before the wedding and I'm so glad I did. We were on a really tight budget and they were totally great at working out a package that would work for us. We got to see samples of their work on YouTube and I really liked Oleg's work and was lucky to hear he was available to shoot. There were a lot of things that didn't go according to plan that day and i was seriously stressed and worried that there wouldn't be any good shots but when I saw our highlight video I couldn't be more happy. I am so glad we hired them to shoot our wedding. Not only did they get great shots for our video but they literally had the highlight up and ready for us to view by Monday morning and our wedding was on a Friday night. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a videographer and will definitely keep them in mind for future events with our family. Oleg and his wife, both shot out wedding and were very friendly and professional. Allen was also very pleasant and easy going. Great company! read more

We had a wonderful experience with Ambrosia Event Services and especially with Megan, who was our photographer for our wedding. They were very thorough from the initial consult to the wedding day and beyond. They were not only professional and skilled in their craft, they were also very polite and caring, which is invaluable when you are so overwhelmed with everything involved in putting on a wedding. We continue to recommend them to our friends who get engaged. We used a different company for our engagement photos and were very disappointed that we did not find Ambrosia first! read more

My husband and I chose ambrosia's video and photography services for our wedding day. It was the best decision we made! We met with Allen and he explained to us in detail everything we needed to know about the services we were getting. He will work with what you've got. Allen was very professional and he made sure that our special day would be captured in all it's entity. On our wedding day, Allen and his crew were amazing!!! They were on top of everything from telling us how to pose and capturing each important moment. His crew was very friendly and professional. They definitely knew what they were doing. They also traveled from our wedding ceremony which was at garden grove, to our reception venue at la mirada. They were so kind and were always on point with their job. I even told them what types of style of photography I wanted and they took the time to research and study the poses so that my husband and I can do them! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AMBROSIA SERVICES TO EVERYONE! In fact, we are looking forward to receiving services again from them. Perhaps a birthday party or for any events really. They touch up your photos and put awesome effects on them. They provided us with a cd of all the pictures and also the video of our wedding. If you're looking for a crew to tend for your video and photography services, I say pick ambrosia! They also have other services, just speak with Allen. I'd put 10 stars if I could! At this point, it appears Ambrosia has stolen $800 from me and is completely non-responsive to efforts to reach them, including by the better business bureau who we contacted in an effort to resolve this matter. We used Ambrosia Events for our Wedding last June at the Japanese Gardens at CSULB campus and were Blessed that we choose them for our Photography needs. That Gardens can be a very difficult shoot due to the lighting and shadows that are present at the late afternoon to sundown timing of our Wedding. We had two outstanding photographers, Allen whom we had been in contact with from the beginning made sure our wedding was a success personally, we can't thank him enough, not to mention, we can't recommend him enough.. My wife and I chose Ambrosia for our traditional wedding ceremony, our reception, and a wedding party. Michael and the whole team at Ambrosia were nothing short of spectacular. They are a dedicated group of professionals aimed at creating a perfect event which works around the customer's terms. They are always looking to improve themselves and try new techniques and styles for each customer, and it's this flexibility which speaks volumes to their character as a company and a team. I have no hesitation in recommending them for anyone looking for a great photography team. Our albums and videos came out great, and the even the most discerning members of our family and friends were impressed. Any issues or changes that came up throughout our working relationship with them were resolved quickly and with minimal discussion or interruption. As mentioned, this is a professional yet fun group of photographers who love what they do and will always work around the customer's desires, especially when it comes to trying new/unique techniques, busy schedules, and cultural ceremonies. I would like to take the time out rave about Ambrosia Event Services, they truly deserve the time to take a moment out of our busy days to compliment them on their great service. To start, they were on time and brought a wonderful and friendly staff with them to start the day for our cute couple's big day. Working with many photographers throughout events, they tend to be 'settled and lost the excitement', this is far from Allen and his staff, they were looking forward to capturing the memories in all good spirits throughout the whole night. After seeing the pictures, they turned out beautiful, a night to remember and will be! By the way the engagement photos were amazing, fun and romantic all in one. My husband and I worked with Allen and the Ambrosia team for lighting our wedding venue and video. My husband and I were married at the beautiful Japanese Garden in CSULB (go Beach)! Allen met with us and was very helpful in determining which services they offer would work best for our budget and venue. Ambrosia has a lot of experience working at the Japanese Garden and lit up our entire venue so beautifully. With their lighting our venue looked like something out of a fairytale...it was truly magical. We received so many compliments too! Also, our videographer Andrew worked great with our photographer (hired before we found out Ambrosia offers photo services as well). During the video edit phase they ask what songs we would like and how the flow of the video we envisioned looked like. We explained our input but ran into a few miss edits for unknown reasons. When we explained this to the Ambrosia team, they were kind and patient enough to work with us to create an amazing wedding video from start to finish! They did not stop working till we were satisfied and that meant the world to us! We recommend Ambrosia for their variety of services, dedication, affordability, and kindness. I look forward to reliving our special day for years to come thanks to team Ambrosia. Thank you Allen, Andrew, and everyone at Ambrosia! read more

The photos are 5 stars! The only negative thing was the photos took almost a month to receive. My best friend had Michael and I believe Alise as photographers. The photos are the best I have ever seen for wedding photos. When the wedding website came out with all of the photos everyone told my best friend that the photos were amazing and they want to use Ambrosia for their weddings. The photographers are also very professional and nice, not too intrusive. The price was REALLY GOOD for 2 photographers and rights to all of the photos, website etc. Less than $1,500. High quality pictures. They wear shirts to your wedding that say their company name on them. They are respectful and capture real moments. I would recommend them to all friends and family. I bet my best friend will use them next for her baby baptism, whenever that is! read more

Going with Ambrosia Event Services is one of the best choices we made for our wedding! Walter, Adam, Andrew and Michael are AWESOME! The team showed up early to check out the venue on my wedding day. They found great spots for pictures. They made sure to capture all the pictures I wanted, including getting ready, first look, bride and bridesmaids, family and friends. They were the first vender to show up and the last ones to leave. I honestly don't think my photographers took any break on my wedding day. No matter where I went, when I turned around, they were right there ready to take more pictures of us. Michael was operating the photo booth and he was very friendly to everyone. He brought a bunch props which made the photo booth super fun. Andrew, our videographer, even brought his drone to get the aerial views of our wedding. Michael made sure that we got our wedding pictures before Thanksgiving (around two weeks from our wedding) so we can show these pictures to our family. We are waiting on the video and photo booth pictures which will be mailed to us. Ambrosia was so easy to work with. This is an honest and dedicated company! Everything was seamless. They only hire people who are passionate about their jobs. They offered so many services including photoshoot seminars, dance lessons (huge shout out to Amanda, the best instructor ever) etc. This is the one stop shop that all couples should know. read more

I don't think a better wedding team exists. Wow. Our wedding reception was held at the Earl Burns Japanese Garden in Long Beach. We discovered Ambrosia through the advertisement of a special package they offered through our venue. My husband and I were not keen on seeking out and coordinating individual vendors, so this seemed like the perfect solution. Not only was it the perfect solution for those couples that do not want to loose their marbles with planning stress, not only was the package an incredible deal, but we believe we got the best of all best, most talented, most kind, professionals at our wedding. Each and every member of the Ambrosia team treated us like we were their family getting married. The photographers went above and beyond to get what we wanted (my friends have pictures of them perched in the bushes leaning over a pond to get a shot), and made us feel completely at easy (an accomplishment for a very awkward-feeling in front of the camera person like myself). The videographer, Andrew, has stealth super powers. We haven't seen our photos and video yet, but we are so excited for the final product! The makeup artist, Khaye, blew both my mom and me away with her incredible talent, intuition, and professionalism --- seriously - we have never felt more beautiful in our lives. The DJ, Jose, was such a fun and comfortable person, with great MC and DJ skills. We met him the day of the wedding, and instantly felt at ease. If anyone is going to turn a Canvas tent into a raving club, it is him! Last but certainly not least, Allen!!!! We had been talking and meeting with Allen, the Ambrosia Event Support Specialist, from the beginning. Allen went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, at ease, and happy. By the time our wedding came around, I felt like I wanted Allen at our wedding as a guest, not just a professional. From our meetings to set up our contract, to our practice photo sessions, to our wedding, Allen was a joy to work with. If you want a team of talented professionals at your wedding, who take your special day as seriously as if it were their own, then don't look any farther. Thank you Ambrosia for making our day even more amazing!!!! read more

I didnt want to write a bad review for Ambrosia but I'm running out of patience for them to respond and show results. I went with Ambrosia for their photography and videography services along with hair and make up , emcee, karaoke set, and photobooth back in 2016. I really wanted to give them a better rating as I did enjoy the interaction with their staff (Walter and Andrew) and Allen himself. However, the end products for the services I hired them for were subpar. Start off with hair and make up, their team ran short of one staff that morning and they ended up not having enough hands to do hair and make up for my 4 bridesmaids and myself. I remembered we were so behind as all of our guests had arrived downstairs for the tea ceremony, I rushed to the restroom and quickly finished up my make up since the girl Ambrosia sent did not have time to finish up mine as she was still working on the bridesmaids. Next, the emcee they hired was horrible. He announced my name wrong during the reception, brought his friend to the wedding and even had him dined at the same table with my siblings without asking me, and he left early without letting us know. Last but not least, my wedding video is super delayed. Let's just say I am still waiting for my wedding video to be re-edited after nearly 3 years. They gave me a less- than- 5 -minute highlighting clip at first. After I complained that couldn't be all there was to my wedding, Allen agreed to get it re-edited with my input. At first I was told that they had to pay someone in the east coast to edit the video and that they paid a lot of money to that person. But I did not get anything after almost a year, so I reached out again, and was told by one of the Ambrosia staff that they were having a hard time getting someone else to edit my video but they think they might have someone. Well, that last response was shortly before i went out on my maternity leave. Now my baby is 8 months old, and still i have heard nothing back. I emailed them a month or two ago regarding the update to my wedding video, and all I got was crickets chirping on the other end. I almost wanted to give up hope on my wedding video. I just sent Allen a text about it today so let's wait and see if he does respond at all. read more

Our wedding was in September of 2017 and we found Ambrosia at a Wedding Show event in Long Beach. Gina and her coworkers were very attentive in our budget and what we wanted the wedding to look like. Ambrosia Event Services, particularly Kat and Cindy, we're wonderful to work with. We were having a small wedding reception in our yard but didn't know where to start. We contacted Ambrosia and Kat got right to work with wonderful suggestions and ideas. Within days we had a plan and decor ideas to choose from. Everything was going to plan until Mother Nature stepped in. First it was a terrible heatwave and then rain was in the forecast for our big day. We were so upset as all our plans were outdoors. Kat called and told us not to worry that they reworked the budget and rented a tent. We were so relieved. The day of the event Kat and Cindy spent hours transforming our yard into a wedding wonderland. The decor, the tables, everything was so beautiful. They made sure the event itself ran smoothly and helped out wherever needed. Everyone had a wonderful time and we are still receiving positive feedback from all our guests. I love my wedding photos and Allen's style! Allen was a great photographer to work with from start to finish. His service is friendly, professional, and always quick to respond. Allen met with me prior to the wedding to discuss the style and the photo's I wanted to capture. I wanted non-traditional with a modern fashion twist that told a story. We feel VERY fortunate to have had Allen at our wedding! Our guests are still commenting on his professionalism at the ceremony and reception as well as the amazing pictures he took. He worked perfectly with young kids, something that is not easy to do. I cannot stop looking at my wedding pictures, and every time I do I start smiling from ear to ear recalling all of the fond memories of our special wedding day. This review is way over-due since we got married three years ago and used Ambroisia phography services. Looking at our wedding photos taken by them reminded me of the bad experience, and to finish this review! After reading all the reviews on Yelp, we were sure we were in good hands with Ambrosia. We had our wedding ceremony in a church, and reception at the Japanese Garden. The photographer and his assistant were nice, but with limited skills. They gave us hundreds of bad photos to pick from, many of which were duplicates of useless shots. We were so angry from looking at the album as we could barely find 10 that were satisfactory. Upon complaining to Ambrosia, their response was to give us ALL the photos on a disc as an apology! Thank goodness we had wonderful engagement photos done in Taiwan with qualified photographers. We were speechless about their incompetence, and do not recommend their services at all. read more

Working with Ambrosia was wonderful! Their staff was very professional, prompt, and caring throughout each step of the process - from our initial meeting to our pre-wedding correspondence, and on the day-of. The pricing was unmatched and the quality was better than we could have hoped for. Specifically we worked with a DJ (Jose), a photographer (Joshua), and videographer (Ed). We HIGHLY recommend using Ambrosia and would gladly use their services again for another event. read more

Ambrosia shot our wedding in summer of 2014. I would not recommend them for special events such as weddings. The quality of the pictures were not that great and they did not photoshop any of the trash that was on sand for our pictures in Long Beach. I was told they would. When they mailed me the pictures and video I just received silver DVDs that were burned with the data. No company case DVD case or label on the DVDs. I was never given the option to choose a transition song for our wedding video. When I saw the final product and asked to change a song they asked for an extra $500 because they had outsourced the video editing job... I had to request the raw footage so I could work on it myself to create a better video. I also had to design the DVD case and the DVD start menu. For the amount of money I paid back then I would have thought I wouldn't have to be doing so much work myself. I did not provide a review back then because it took several months to get all of the raw footage and images from them and I not want to rock the boat any further. read more
