Eve was a stand out amongst our wedding vendor team. After our initial photographer indicated there would be a high chance she couldn't show, we moved quick to secure a new photographer just a month before the wedding. It was important to us to find a quality photographer with an eye for some of the artsy/moody photos we were hoping for. Enter Eve who really did come and save the day. From the moment we met, she was so kind and showed a true interest in getting to know us as a couple. She was an absolute rock star during our wedding. We had a larger wedding (150 ppl) and she handled it with grace; always staying patient but giving direction confidently when need be. One of our favorite things Eve did was our private vows. We were considering scrapping it as it might be too complicated logistically, but Eve knew how important that time would later be and moved quick to find a quiet spot to make it happen. That really set the tone for my now wife and I, and was one of our most cherished moments on our wedding day. And the photos! We just received our full gallery and they're so beautiful! We feel so lucky to have worked with Eve. I would absolutely recommend her and hope to work with her again some day. Thank you Eve! read more

Wow, Eve is the total package! Her photographs are beautiful, she is well organized, and so so good at working with different personalities (and difficult family members!). As an LGBTQ+ wedding, she made us feel totally at ease, included, and best of all - special! We booked Eve for our June 2024 wedding after meeting her at a friends' wedding and from the jump we connected with each other and I knew she was going to be perfect for our wedding. Eve is a great communicator and was fun to work with. We organized an incredible engagement shoot and it was delightful to see Eve's creativity at work. The shots turned out amazingly too, and we received rave reviews from family and friends! For the wedding itself, Eve sent an easy worksheet for us to complete of all family / friend photos, along with some helpful tips for how to stay hydrated and prepared the day-of. At the wedding, Eve made us feel at easy and never asked for too much. We also had plenty of time to actually enjoy the evening! And to top if off, the photographs perfectly capture the energy and mood of the event! Thank you Eve! read more

AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE are always the first things that come to mind when I think of Eve and her work. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Eve for our engagement shoot and wedding and she has always blown us away with how wonderful she is. Not only is she the kindest and easiest person to work with, but she always goes above and beyond with everything she does. When we first had our engagement shoot, Eve brought my wife and I a bottle of champagne. During our wedding, she booked a room at our hotel the night before so that she could be there as early as possible. Whenever we were being shot, Eve always made it fun and comfortable. Her pictures are truly MAGICAL and everyone always compliments them. Eve, thank you for always being so wonderful. She is truly passionate about her work and it never goes unnoticed. read more

When we were originally searching around for a wedding photographer in 2019, we stumbled across Eve's portfolio and fell in love with her work. We love her style, and she has an incredible talent for perfectly capturing a time and place with all the emotions wrapped up in that moment. Her photos are impressive works of art, and she is able to capitalize on locations and very specific lighting, yielding crisp, clean, colorful shots. Some photographers may just take a bunch of pictures--but when you look at Eve's photos, it's like they tell a story--like you're reliving an experience. Eve is very passionate about the work she does. We really enjoyed her sneak peeks from our shoots, and it was genuinely fun to work with her. She comes with years of experience, and is knowledgeable about the Long Beach area. She was already familiar with all the shoot locations beforehand and knew where and how to get the best shots. She also works well with fussy subjects, such as our dog, Yukihiro (who gets constantly distracted by just about everything) and our young nephew, Rowan (who just turned 2 and also gets constantly distracted by everything). Her website is also quite convenient for purchasing prints. Prior to our wedding, we went on an engagement shoot in downtown Long Beach at the Promenade, which was really great for getting us comfortable around the camera. We absolutely treasure the photos from that shoot and had a great time that day! Unfortunately, COVID disrupted our original wedding date and caused us to reschedule 3 different times. Of all the vendors we'd booked, we were most adamant that we retain Eve, since we knew that she'd be instrumental to our wedding day. Fortunately, Eve was incredibly accommodating to our circumstances--and not only was she still able to shoot our wedding, but we ended up also doing a followup engagement shoot to once again get us comfortable in front of the camera prior to our wedding. Eve is a calming presence and a joy to be around. After working with her through the photo shoots, it felt like working with a friend. We are so fortunate to have her incredible talents on our wedding day, and will enjoy these photos forever! We highly recommend Eve to anyone looking for an amazing photographer! read more

There aren't enough words to effectively convey the gratitude my husband and I have for Eve. I found her on Instagram a year before our wedding and there was something simple but extremely unique about her photos, not overdone but still magnifying every single natural detail about the couples she shot and the elements around them. I reached out (nervous about the thought of using someone I found on social media, I'm still an old school girl at heart) and she was so open and made me feel like she wanted to get to know us and our story even more so than just wanting our business. My (then) fiancé and I met her for dinner and he's always skeptical and reserved about most everything, but midway through our conversation it was clear, he wanted Eve to be our photographer just as much as I did. From our engagement photos at Venice Beach to everything leading up to our wedding day, Eve was there for and with us. Connecting with our planner, giving us suggestions we'd never have thought of, and helping us start to cultivate the vision for our special day. Even down to the venue selection (Carondelet House in DTLA), Eve was the first to suggest it to us and she knew that it was the perfect space for our "interesting" personalities. When I look back on the day and everything leading up to it, I have to include Eve in the picture. She's an INCREDIBLE photographer, with an unbelievable eye for detail, she's also patient, kind and compassionate and that comes across in how she engages with you but also how she illustrates your story on camera. People are mesmerized by our photos and are constantly saying "whoever you had as a photographer brought their A game!" And it's true, Eve is a rare creative talent, I'm so grateful to have had her as part of our wedding experience, but even more so grateful to have had the opportunity to begin to cultivate a friendship with her. When I look at my photos I can't believe how she captured the magic in the moment. She's a gift and a blessing and I'll be praising her work for years to come. If you are looking for a photographer who is easy to work with but extremely visionary and talented, look no further...Eve Rox!!! read more

Evelyn is amazing! She is an extremely talented photographer with great taste, and she is also exceptionally skilled at editing. We are so in love with our photos! It was so great working with Evelyn. She is easygoing, funny, super accommodating, and professional. Evelyn goes above and beyond of what is required of her; no joke, she even offered to help me make phone calls to vendors while I was planning my out of state wedding! Evelyn is a phenomenal human being and a true artist. We were so lucky to have been able to book her! Thank you so much, Evelyn! read more

My spouse and I are so so happy we chose Eve for our wedding photos! Eve did a wonderful job taking creative and beautiful photos incorporating us as well as the unique surrounding LA areas near the event. When I was weighing different photographers, I asked a friend who went to school for photography to look at the ones that were in my potential budget range. She reviewed the photographs without knowing the quotes and preferred Eve's heads above the rest, moreso than a couple that were more expensive and did not include a second photographer. Good wedding photography is expensive, but the quality of her photographs for the price is a deal, particularly considering that she often doesn't charge extra for travel within CA. She didn't even try to upsell us on more hours, giving us the wise advice that we'd want to use her hours toward getting ready photos rather than more dim, sweaty dance floor photos. She was so right! Eve's photos are timeless and beautiful. She was also great on the day of the wedding, getting all the right photos while giving us small moments to walk ahead and be by ourselves, and just generally being a calming, happy presence. She was the single best decision we made vendor-wise. Thank you Eve. We can't wait to turn these beautiful photographs into home decorations. read more

We were adamant about two things, incredible food and photography, and our vendors being vegan along side us. Eve fit the bill as a vegan photographer for us. When my husband and I met Eve, we went to a vegan bar in downtown LA, and bonded over vegan food and wine (both very important things in my life). We were lucky to call eve our photographer during our wedding and are lucky to continue calling her a friend. She helped us feel comfortable during our engagement and wedding photos, and did not mind that we wanted photos in all the gorgeous Santa Barbara areas. We absolutely adore our wedding album! She beautifully captured everything we loved about our day, veganism, small businesses, Santa Barbra, our family, and of course my husband and I. We get to relive that day over and over again because of her, and I find a new favorite every time I look through it! read more

Eve is so amazing not only as a photographer, but as a human being. I wish we could have taken photos for like 10 hours straight lol. There are a million wedding photographers out there but thank god for instagram hashtags because they led us to this Long Beach, CA local, queer, Latina photographer!! Eve brought so much energy and excitement about our love and wedding vision right from the first email exchanges. We quickly set up a video meeting to further discuss our wedding vision and photography needs. I'm pretty sure we laughed for the entire hour. Eve is very experienced and professional when it comes to wedding photography. Months before the wedding day, she had a suggested timeline ready to make sure we got all the photos we wanted. Eve worked so well with our coordinator blending their timelines together to make everything fit. On our wedding day, Eve and her second shooter, Amanda, showed up on time and ready to go. They kept the day moving and even made sure we both had sunscreen to keep us from getting a desert sunburn! The post-ceremony couple photos were my favorite part of the day. As a couple, our top priority was getting beautiful, scenic desert photos together and Eve delivered!!! And had us laughing the whole time lol. We have only received "sneak peak" photos so far (that Eve was up at 3am editing for us haha), but we are happy to wait to see all the photos. This gal is in HIGH demand this busy, semi-post-COVID wedding season! I would HIGHLY recommend Evelyn Avila as your wedding day photographer if you want a true professional to capture the magic of your day, keep you laughing, and be as excited as you (if not more), about your love. read more

Eve from EveRox Photography was out of this world, she was so good at making us feel at ease in front of a camera. Let us start off by saying, everyone thinks it's cute to be quirky or awkward in pictures, but when you, as a couple, are truly awkward about PDA and Pictures well its spells disaster for a photographer. Well, this is not the case with Eve. We found Eve through our Wedding planner Megan from Sweet Peach Planning. She sent us a link to her portfolio and we fell in love with her color palate. Our first meeting was a little rocky, in the sense that we didn't know what we wanted and we all were trying to figure each other out. After speaking with Megan we decided to go with an engagement session so we can all work together and feel each other out, this was honestly the best thing ever because the second Eve started snapping photos of us, she knew exactly what she needed from us. Of course, we were awkward at times but Eve would ease us into it and just let the camera take pictures of our true outburst of laughter we thought we were secretly sharing. This led us to hire Eve for our Elopement since we had to reschedule our Ceremony to the summer but did not want to lose out on our 10thanniversary as a couple being the day we tied the knot. Eve makes Lemon drops out of Lemons because it was POURING down that day and she still managed to take some of the best pictures of the special day we shared with my mother, her father, and our officiant. This is why the day of the ceremony in the high 90's Eve found a way to get the best out of us. I mean, she would just give us a couple of words on how she wanted us posed and we already knew what she needed. Although it can feel overwhelming with everything going on, Eve's mind is only thinking of that perfect shot and when she finds it she makes sure she runs over to steal you for a few seconds to get that shot. My favorite shot of ours is where I am holding my wife up with the sun behind us in front of a cactus garden, it reminds me of all the rom-com movie posters we grew up seeing in the '90s. One last thing we wanted to touch on was how fast and eager Eve is to get you a sneak peek of your photos. Our wedding was packed and over with by 11 pm, we got our first 30 photos at 1 am. Eve had left our wedding around 7 pm this means by the time she beat the traffic to her home almost an hour away, ate dinner, and took time to relax a little, she had knocked out some of the best pictures our special day. Eve is a pleasure to work with and an all-around amazing person. read more

My husband and I don't have a lot of really good pictures together. I am very camera shy, end up making the funniest faces and almost never satisfied with the pictures I take. My husband on the other hand, is not only naturally photogenic but he has modeled a few times before. Needless to say, it was really important for us (especially me) to hire a professional photographer for our wedding. We reached out to Eve as soon as I stumbled upon her beautiful work on Pinterest. She has great style, it's moody and artistic. I especially love that she is really thoughtful about little details and pays attention to her surroundings, it was exactly what I was hoping I would find... but it did not stop there... She gave us really valuable tips prior to and on the day of the event-- like, our wedding would have been a hot mess without her! Lol. She made us feel comfortable, provided direction and was very kind every step of the way. Best of all, the pictures turned out amazing. One of my sisters said they are the kind of pictures our future children will be proud of. Best. Wedding Investment. read more

Where do I begin with Eve? From the moment my wife and I contacted her, we knew that she would be the one to capture the momentous occasion that would soon be known as the unofficial wedding of the century. It began with a Skype call to get a feel for each other's personalities and we automatically clicked. Eve and Edith were both warm, welcoming, and overall incredibly fun people to interact with. We decided to book them immediately and they never failed to disappoint. The package that we purchased, which was very reasonably priced for the amount of work that goes into it, included both engagement and wedding photos. Due to the fact that my wife and I live in San Jose and are planning a wedding in Los Angeles, it was quite difficult to schedule a time where we could both be in the same place at the same time. Eve went above an beyond any expectation that we had when she offered to do our engagement photos in San Francisco. When we finally met face-to-face for the first time, it was as if we were long-time friends reuniting. The conversation was easy and the jokes were flying! We hit up two separate spots (Magnolia Brewing Co. and Clarion Alley) and the interactions just felt SO natural. We finished up and said our goodbyes until the wedding day (sadly). On the wedding day, Eve and Edith were beyond prepared; they knew what to do, when to do it, who to talk to, how to talk to them, and every little detail that allowed our day to simply flow while they captured it seamlessly. They were able to capture photos candidly when needed, while also being able to direct us in such a way that helped us express our personalities freely! And finally, the reception. Having them there was not only a blessing, but an absolute pleasure. I can remember seeing them on the dance floor and smiling because they were not just there to photograph the best night of my life, they were there to experience it WITH US. Towards the end of the night when they finished up, my wife and I thanked them incessantly and eventually, shared some tears over the pure joy that we felt having them be a huge part of our wedding day. If you have a choice on wedding photography, it would be in your best interest to go with Eve and Edith. They are experts at their craft; professional, detail oriented, knowledgeable, experienced, and a pleasure to be around. I will continually recommend them forever. read more

I waited way to long to leave Eve a review but I must say how amazing she is! My husband and I had to postpone our wedding due to covid. She was so informative and knowledgeable about her photo sessions, lightning, time, etc. When I met Eve, I felt like I knew her for years! She not only knew how to direct us but gave us the most beautiful photos we will cherish forever. We heard about Evelyn through our friend Edith, who works as Eve's associate, and my now wife and I hired the two of them to handle or engagement and wedding photography. They are both warm and caring humans and truly gifted photographers. My wife and I aren't the most natural in front of the camera (okay, that is the understatement of the year, LOL!) but they worked to make us feel as comfortable as possible. On our big day, they even brought each of us a coconut water to keep hydrated! So sweet and thoughtful. We laughed a lot during our shoots and the photos came out strikingly gorgeous. Their artistic eye was spot on and they really captured the essence of who we are as a couple. Highly recommend Eve Rox Photography for all of your photo needs. Eve Rox (Evelyn and Edith) were the photographers for our Los Angeles wedding held in April 2017. When looking for a wedding photographer, we wanted someone that really captured special moments and emotions rather than just snap shots. We wanted someone who was passionate about their clients and career rather than in it just to make some money. We also had a set budget that was rather tight for the LA market. We got really lucky when finding Eve Rox as Evelyn and Edith met all of our needs. They are kind, caring people in addition to bad-ass photographers :-) Because of our budget, we vouched only to have pictures taken on our wedding versus a package with engagement shots. Leading up to our wedding day, we had numerous phone calls and email conversations with Evelyn to get to know each other and also plan for our special day. These phone calls were really crucial because our timeline between our wedding and reception was rather tight. Without proper planning, crucial time would've been wasted coordinating people and figuring out who we need to take pictures with. One thing that I learned is that a lot of your time is spent with your photographer on your wedding day. Special moments such as getting ready and your first look are going to be shared with your photographer, so you want someone that you feel comfortable with. Evelyn and Edith definitely do not fail at contributing to the happiness and emotion running through your body all while allowing your private moments with your loved one feel private and not staged. Our edited pictures were delivered online so quickly, it was a pleasant surprise. The USB version of the photos was delivered soon after with a little gift that now is seen by everyone in our home :) I think I could leave a lengthy review about how amazing the pictures came out, but I will leave a few here to speak for themselves. I recommend going to her instagram to see all the love she captures around the world. read more

When I first started planning my wedding, I asked my already married friends for tips on what they would do differently if they were to plan their weddings again. Most of them said they would spend more time finding a photographer that they clicked with, since it's so important that you feel comfortable with them on your wedding day. With that in mind, my fiancé and I spent some time trying to find a wedding photographer whose style and personality would be a good fit. We were looking for someone who would make our photos look natural, bold, and moody - and that they would know how to work couples who don't have strong direction on what type of photos we want. We spoke to several great wedding photographers, but it wasn't until we first chatted with Eve that we knew we found our photographer. The reason Eve stood out to us is that she is truly passionate about her craft - you can see it in her portfolio, and when she speaks about photographing her couples. Eve's portfolio stood out to us because she's so good at capturing light, and we love the way she plays with contrast in her editing. Eve lit up when we asked her what her favorite part about wedding photography was - she spoke about making us truly comfortable with each other behind the camera, and letting her work her magic in finding the best angles, scenery, and lighting. In contrast, other wedding photographers we were considering seemed more eager about giving a lot of direction on our wedding day - and told us that they love to make us laugh or suggest tons of poses for us. I'm sure that would be great for other couples, but we were definitely looking for someone who would capture us in the most natural "light". Our engagement photo session was really fun - and that's despite the day being cold, windy, and drizzling. We had it in San Francisco, and we were planning on taking our pictures atop a hill with the background of the Golden Gate Bridge. When we got there, there was a ton of fog that covered the bridge the entire morning. Instead, Eve had us take pictures in this abandoned fort/base area, which turned out to be so cool and had the perfect vibe with the weather. Eve, and her second shooter, Denia, made us feel so comfortable and we had so much fun (and neither of us really enjoy taking photos.) Eve sent previews of the engagement pictures that weekend, and we couldn't stop looking at them. She made sure to capture a huge range of backgrounds, poses, great lighting, outfits etc. She even made sure that right before we left the area that we got one really epic shot of the Golden Gate bridge peeking through the fog. :) Although we haven't had our wedding ceremony yet, we know the Eve will do an incredible job. She's always taking workshops and classes to improve her skills, which I admire given she's been doing this for a while. She's also been so wonderful about communication, and checking in with us on Instagram. I feel like it will be so fun to have her at our wedding knowing that she knows us as a couple. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a photographer who can capture you in the best light and do so in an unique and bold way - hire Eve. It's the best and most stress-free decision we've made about our wedding so far. read more

Eve is an extremely talented photographer. When I looked at photos from past weddings she photographed on her website, I didn't just see photos, I saw stories of love. Stories of people I didn't even know. I was getting emotional about other people's weddings through her photos. When we had our initial Skype meeting with Eve, she was so chill. We obviously met to discuss booking her as our photographer, but she also wanted to get to know my now husband and I. I even remember talking about remedies to stay healthy as one of our questions for her was how does she handle staying healthy when she is constantly shooting weddings. We have worked with Eve close to 18 months now. After our venue she was the very first vendor we booked. We were originally supposed to get married June 2020, but ultimately postponed to October 2020 after several changes in plans. She stuck with us through all of it and we are so grateful for all her support. As a couple who does not consider ourselves photogenic and at times camera shy, we were stressed like many other couples are about having to touch and hug and kiss in front of a stranger. When we did our engagement session in November 2019, it rained and I was already stressed about that because it never rains in Southern California. Despite getting a little wet that day, our engagement session with Eve was a lot of fun. She came up with so many cool photo ideas just walking a couple blocks around the city. We were definitely a bit awkward at first, but as the session went on we realized this really isn't so bad and Eve made us feel completely comfortable. Our engagement photos turned out awesome. Wedding day finally came for us and we already had our sneak peek photos very early the next morning. WOW is all I can say. We are so excited for the rest to come. We've already selected a photo for our Christmas card because the sneak peek photos are that good. Thank you so much Eve for beautifully capturing our story. Where do I even being with Eve. I'll start by saying she was heaven sent (no im not being dramatic ). We originally had someone else do our engagement photos and we're going to use them for wedding as well, we got a random email saying they booked someone else for our date. Frantically we looked high and low, emailed, asked around... then my husband (fiancé then) scrolled through Instagram photos and found..... EVE ROX! Oh my gosh we fell in love with her photos. We contacted Eve and from the beginning she was so friendly and funny (you need that while you're wedding planning). She was always available to review her contract, so helpful to answer questions, and when we had to talk dollar bills she was more than willing to sit down with us and work out the best deal for both sides. Her payment plan is also amazing. You make a deposit then pay monthly, this is amazing since most vendors have you pay everything upfront or your wedding month. She will always check in with you, guide you through the picture process (giving her lists of people you want photographed, photo ideas, etc..), she's always willing to help. Her photo albums are so easy to share and you have 100% control and rights to your photos! You get all of her edited photos and you can download them directly or print straight from the site. No matter what curve balls get thrown your way on your day, Eve WILL have you covered. If you're looking for someone who will go above and beyond and show you so much kindness and love.. Eve is your girl! Everyone still talks about our photos. I think what stands out the most about her photos are the warmth and colors. They're so unique. There's a warmth you feel. They're hip and cool but so romantic. They're warm and tender but not sappy. I promise you without a doubt choosing Eve will leave you so happy and you won't regret it. Once your big day is over all you have is memories, videos, and photos... you want her, you want her unique and beautiful gems! read more

We knew we wanted Eve to photograph our wedding as soon as we stumbled upon her on Instagram (1.5 years before our wedding!) Hiring her was one of the absolute best decisions we could have made. She has an amazing ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is not easy! Her style of shooting is so non-intrusive and natural. Plus, her calming presence really helped me stay grounded and relaxed on a day that was overflowing with emotion and (happy) chaos. I couldn't have wished for a better person to follow me around all day on one of the best days of my life ;) My wedding was 5 months ago and we still talk all the time. I truly feel like I didn't just get a wedding photographer in Eve, but a friend, too! And most importantly, her photos are stunning - they are so artistic, interesting, and moody, without ever looking overly edited/ altered/saturated. She knows how capture beautiful moments that, even when they are not, look candid and natural. We never once had to worry about her missing the important shots because she's just a total PRO. Every single picture from both our engagement shoot and our wedding are jaw-dropping, and we will cherish them forever. Not to mention, she sent us wayyy more photos than we were expecting, which was such a great surprise :) Bottom line: Hire Eve! You will absolutely not regret it. Thank you Eve! My partner and I initially found Eve's photos on Instagram. We emailed her, along with a few other photographers, to inquire about pricing and availability. Even from the first email encounter, working with Eve was incredible easy and stress-free. We felt confident in choosing her as our wedding photographer. A couple months after signing the contract (with about 6 months to go before the wedding), I received an email from Eve out of the blue. She was going to be in the Bay Area shooting other events, and wanted to offer a free engagement session for us in her downtime. We initially had not wanted to take engagement photos -- my partner and I don't like having our picture taken! -- but we are so glad we did. Those photos, like the photos on the day of our wedding, turned out gorgeously. I would recommend Eve to any couple for their wedding day. She is so easy to work with, has a great sense of humor, and makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera -- even if you are like us and usually hate it. You can't go wrong with Eve! read more

Eve is a hard working, dedicated and highly skilled photographer. Despite the 90 degree heat and my crazy family and friends Eve kept her cool and snapped the memorable moments of the evening. I work in film and have hired crew members for shoots over the years and have rarely seen someone work so hard. I kept looking over my shoulder during important moments to catch her attention and she was already there while still giving me personal space to enjoy the special day. The photos have a candid quality to them just like I discussed with Eve beforehand and look fantastic. We received a few photos right after the wedding and the rest within the time outlined in the agreement. Choose Eve! read more

Eve recently photographed my son's wedding and engagement. The photos turned out wonderfully!!! The photos are unique, personal, candid, everything you may want. I did not interact with Eve as a consumer, only as someone being directed during the photo shoot and she was wonderful and patient. My son and his wife are thrilled with their photos and with their interaction with Eve. I highly recommend Eve to all!!! read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Eve. I initially found Eve through Instagram after finding that she photographed another wedding at our venue in the San Francisco Bay Area the year before. The immense depth and rich colors she beautifully captured in her pictures mesmerized me, and I immediately reached out. Through our initial Skype session, Eve's warmth and kindness made my husband and I feel so comfortable as we knew we had met someone who was caring and had our best interests at heart. Not only that, we connected through our similar family values, as Eve and my husband come from large Latino families and bonded over how big our wedding was going to be. It felt like we had known her for a long time even though we had just meet her. Despite living in Southern California, Eve comforted us with her enduring trust that she would be committed to travel our San Francisco Bay Area wedding as she regularly photographs in the area and has friends and family that live there. After our initial meeting, we knew we could trust and count on her. Leading up to our engagement shoot, Eve was efficiently responsive from our many emails and text messages as she helped fine tune many of the questions and ideas I had for the shoot. I loved how receptive and excited she was for my ideas and I loved how she offered some of her own, too! Not to mention, she flew into San Francisco just for the night to take our pictures! Prior to our engagement shoot, my husband and I have never taken professional photos and were a little nervous how they would turn out. All of our worries went away within the first couple of shots as Eve made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Her excitement was palpable and made the engagement shoot so much fun! She blew our expectations out of the water with her commitment to capture as many pictures as she could, even spending the whole afternoon with us (way longer than we thought she would spend). We even drove around the city to find more places to take pictures and despite us offering to end the session (out of courtesy, we loved it and could have gone for longer), she eased our worries and insisted we spend more time. Her commitment to get to know us and capture this special time in our lives made me overwhelmed with immense gratitude and appreciation. By the end of the engagement shoot, we felt that we had met someone who clicked with us so well and we truly had found a friend in Eve. In addition, she surprised my husband and I with our completed engagement shoot just a few days later! Leading up to our wedding, Eve was so meticulous about the schedule for the day, which made me feel so comforted (since we did not have a wedding planner or day of coordinator). I truly felt that I could rely on her for her advice and wisdom in planning how the day was going to go. On the day of the wedding, she arrived early with the second photographer and jumped right into action. She captured all the small details before our ceremony and was accommodating and creative when we got a little behind schedule (due to hair and makeup taking a little longer than expected). Throughout the rest of the day, she effortlessly captured every moment and even stayed longer at the end to get the last shot of my husband and I in a redwood grove where our ceremony took place. Truly, we cannot thank Eve enough for everything she did for my husband and I. I cannot tell you how many people have commented on how BEAUTIFUL our pictures are. Eve truly has a gift and everyone at our wedding couldn't say enough wonderful things about her. Eve beautifully captured such a special time in our lives and we couldn't be more thankful or appreciative for everything she has done for us. Thank you so much, Eve!!! read more

Photography was one of the few things that I REALLY cared about when planning a tiny wedding (elopement really) at the courthouse. I was raised around professional photographers and so was invested in getting photos that could both make everyone in my family look great and that also had real artistic quality. Not only did Eve NAIL our photos on both counts, she was the sweetest, most grounding and overall awesome presence throughout the whole day. Seriously, if she could get our family (which includes an 80 year old, a frenetic six year old, and a two grumpy teenagers, plus us the bride and groom, NONE OF WHOM LIKE HAVING OUR PICTURE TAKEN) to look stunning and comfortable, she can do anything. Eve is also such a breeze to work with- it felt like having another trusted friend with us all day, and when she sent us a preview of the photos WITHIN HOURS, I was expecting maybe three, but got ~25 stunning shots off the bat! We just received our full gallery and these will be photos we'll all treasure forever. On top of all that, Eve's package was the best value of any of the photographers we looked into. She's a gem. read more

Eve Rox Photography was our wedding photographer. A consummate professional who was incredibly easy to work with for the day, along with her partner Edith. We've only seen a sample of the photos she's taken for us so far and she's already delivered exactly what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. Loved, loved, loved, working with her and would highly recommend to any family or friends who get married in the future. read more

What can I say about our photographer, Evelyn? Wow. Theres a lot I want to say but I just want to express the bullet points -- she was so amazing, professional, and helpful. We changed our wedding from an elopement to an actual ceremony, and she agreed to the date changes. Not only that but she went and above and beyond to help me with the actual wedding planning, helping me with so many details and things I didn't have any clue how to do. Just so so helpful, even when that wasn't part of her job at all and wasn't required. It felt like she really actually did care about wanting us to have the wedding we wanted, and was always so easy to get ahold of and quick to respond to any questions. She did an amazing job at our wedding and got some really beautiful photos of us which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Additionally, after the wedding our photos were ready pretty quickly and she made it simple to access and order prints that we wanted. Then a few weeks later we got a package in the mail and it was a beautiful one-of-a-kind flash drive with our photos and some prints that she had done as well. It was just really amazing and I am so thankful that she was there to capture our big day and to help us so much. Highly recommend!! read more
