Do not take your kids to this dentist. I have taken all three of mine. One of the three was not so bad, basic cleaning and scheduled a later appt. No cavities were found. My oldest however, the branch in Macon said she needed EIGHT silver teeth - top back four, bottom back four. Wanted to schedule an anesthesia procedure well north of $2K at the Warner Robins location for eight crowns. We didn't feel good about that, so we delayed it and let the ACTUAL dentist in Macon do a couple fillings....he managed to take care of all of her cavities with SIX FILLINGS. No crowns/silver teeth were even needed. They want to push you down to Warner Robins so they can bill your insurance for their anesthesiologist/maximum procedure - NOT what is best for the child or parent. They are solely looking at your child's teeth as a profitable opportunity. Plain and simple. It's a total scam. Do not trust them. Get a second opinion. It gets worse though. The reason I feel SO STRONGLY about this is because we just had my third kid seen there. He's two years old. He had two teeth in the front with white cavity spots that could be seen if you look up close. They decided he needed six crowns and anesthesia. We were reluctant at first but because these were on his front teeth, we eventually paid the $800 to schedule the procedure with another $300 due later (we have insurance coverage, this was our cost). While he was under anesthesia, and without consulting with my wife like they said they would do, they decided to put a silver crown on his back tooth, and added $500 above our agreed upon amount. This was not even detected a few weeks ago on his X-ray. Somehow it was now necessary to grind his back tooth to nothing for a crown. They are deceptive and greedy. The girl on the phone might sound nice but do not take your kids here if you care about their appearance or best interest. They're no different from aspen or any other of these corporate franchise dental practices. They see these kids teeth only as profitable opportunities to bill your insurance unnecessarily. read more

We're new patients to the practice, had our first appointments this week for both of my boys. I was a little skeptical because of the outside of the building and the parking lot, but the staff and care has been great. Super friendly and kind clinical staff. The front office team was helpful and nice as well. We will be using the location closer to our house next visit but this team was great. Again, just friendly, kind and informative! read more

My daughters regular dentist stopped taking her insurance and did not inform us. She was having tooth pain and Dr.Ambrose office got her right in the next day. She's only 2 and they made her so comfortable. I highly recommend this office. I wish I would have came to them first. read more

It's a production line style shop where they place first priority on cycling kids through to increase profit. Emotional support in treating the children is not considered. If you choose to allow your child to have something simple like a cavity filled, you will be barred from being present. They try to gloss it over by saying you have to trust them and that at least they don't strap kids down like other profit oriented dentists. I found it especially interesting that the dentist himself later called to try to get us to come back. I appreciated the effort, but the overall tone was he just didn't want us to complain or otherwise get the word out about how things really work around there. Why would anyone risk scarring a child by abandoning them to a couple of strangers for an invasive procedure that isn't even necessary? HIPAA? No. How about common sense and caring? Bottom line is it's profit first with these people. Your child will be a distant third, if that. read more

The dental care is good, that is not the issue. The problem is the administrative staff. I wracked up a 4K bill on my grandchildren a couple years ago, because they wrongly estimated how much my insurance would pay. I have been faithfully paying 200/month on my billing arrangement and have gotten insurance that will now cover them. Up until now this has not been an issue. The kids are way overdue for a cleaning because the office cancelled their original appointment a few days in advance due to the office being closed that day and we had to wait several months to get a new appointment. The day before their appointment I get a call on my voicemail that they can't be seen due to their being a balance. This has never happened before so I called and was told this was a new policy implemented this year and they said I have to again cancel their appointments. Mind you, I do no have the $1000 at a days notice to plunk down on this bill. I never receive a bill or any kind of notice in the mail from them. This is absurd, if you make a new policy, that is your prerogative, but you need to tell your clients so that they can plan and budget. I have the insurance to cover the cleaning; this would not have cost their office anything. Instead they have contributed to the delay in my grandchildren receiving timely care!
