Botched chimney flashing repair…read more I hired Monroy to replace my chimney flashing that was leaking inside the house and causing water damage to the wall in an upstairs bedroom and my living room below. The job also included caulking the J-channel that ran up and down the entire chimney. Jeff charged $2950 for the job and had a man named Carlos come do the work. Carlos missed caulking a section of the J-channel which is leaking into the house now. After another day of rain the original flashing leak is still leaking so I consider this a complete failure. I had already had the inside wall tore open so I can clearly see the leaks. Jeff has stopped returning my calls and texts so he has no intention of making this right. If they don't get it right the first time you're screwed.

The foreman left to get the rest of the crew and the work began, but without any quotes, which concerned me. I asked the foreman to stop twice along the way but his response was to say we needed to finish the truck. Concerned, I called the owner, Rowdy, back that evening, He called me back the very next day and we worked out a solution. He gave me his word and said he would make it right and have it fixed by the end of the following week. Without me even following up with him, Rowdy kept his word and called me back to confirm the date and fixed the issue on time and to my satisfaction. While there was an issue with the one foreman (who I have since learned was let go for other issues), the quality, customer service, and price were great and I would absolutely hire them again.

There…read morewas no place in my review where I stated that I expected you to "drop everything" or to "risk everything" in order to complete the job. In fact, in my review I stated that all I asked for was the curtesy to let me know you'd decided you were no longer interested in the job. I left a voicemail, asking if you'd decided not to do it. It would not have required you to drop anything to take less than 30 seconds to reply to the text I had sent with the photos and say you were no longer interested. That would have demonstrated a level of professionalism and common courtesy that should be a cornerstone of your business. Instead, you decide to respond to this review three years later with a passive-aggressive reply that only serves to make you look incredibly unprofessional. No part of my review was unreasonable, and the resolution that I said I hoped for was completely fair. Sending a text message would not have endangered your life or your health, but it would have gone a long way to showing that you're a decent person who cares about doing right by people, even when you aren't going to take the job.
