I have been going to Ambiance for 8 years now, different locations, and I absolutely love them! You are paying a premium price for the EXPERIENCE L not just for your nails so keep that in mind! I don't mind paying a little more for a beautiful environment and even a bar where I can have a glass of wine while getting my nails done! So relaxing! Most of thee nail techs I've had here are better than other places in town I have gone. Very happy and will continue going back! Only critique I have is the wait time - I always schedule an appointment so that I am not waiting for a long time. I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I've never been to a nail salon with a full bar and so many techs! They were able to get 3 of us in same day and although they didn't don't do lash tints (like they said on the phone) they also do brow waxes and threading. They have a great selection of colors to choose from but I did feel like the techs rush through services a bit. I was also surprised to be charged extra for a "gel top coat" for my dip nails but they seem to be holding up well so far. read more

Decided to go in on whim for a pedicure. My technician was asking me questions about why I don't get pedicures more often, where I usually go and made comments that they didn't do a good job. She then asked to see my fingers and tried to talk me into getting SNS since I was already there and she claimed that they needed to be redone, because they looked bad. They did not. She also came on pretty strong about me using gel on my toes instead of regular polish. It was only after she did the first two toes that she told me it would cost extra. So instead of a nice and relaxing pedicure, I left there feeling terrible about myself and I felt taken advantage off. I will not be back. read more

Ambiance never disappoints. I was able to book with Heidi and not only did she correct my nails from another technician at another salon I made the mistake of going to when she was booked, but she did it quickly without needing another full set. I guess it was fair. Normally I look forward to the pedicures and getting a leg massage. However, for some reason that ended up being about a 10 second thing. There were customers in the lobby asking for managers, they only accept cash tips, and just don't seem too interested. Not to mention my nails, she never asked once if the length or shape was okay. I typically go for rounded edges but since she didn't ask I left with sharp as hell sides that could cut through glass. To be honest I could've spoken up, but I was not paying attention and figured I can try something new. But then came the issue of her having glue or something on her gloves. So every time she grabbed my hands I got glue on mine. At one point my finger was stuck to the table, another point my finger was glued together and I had to peel the skin apart. When I clicked on this, I wasn't even surprised by the 2 star rating. This honestly might be the worst ambiance location I have been to. It's always so unorganized and the customer service is not the best. You can make an appointment, check in, wash your hands, sign the Covid disclosure and they will have you waiting for 15 plus minutes. I've been getting my nails done for over 10 years and I have had 3 of the worst full sets ever from this location. My first time coming to this location my nail broke off within 3 days and it was my birthday set!! I also just recently went last Monday (4/19) for a new full set and my nail broke on Tuesday (4/27). Sets should last 14 days tops, especially a brand new set!! Attempted to go today to correct the broken nail but unfortunately did not get serviced. Today they claimed I didn't have an appointment but I clearly confirmed my appointment with them via text that they sent me!!! So how does that work. I was inconvenienced and the worker stated that they would TRY to get me serviced.. I also had another person with me who took time out of their busy day to relax. Unfortunately this was not a relaxing experience. I will not be back to this ambiance location and I will make sure my friends and family do not come to this location as well. I rather drive 30 mins to a better salon or just support another business all together. All and all please do not waste your time going to this location. After completing my nails, the technician told me that the total would be $94, I asked for a break down on how she came to that price because my nails were BASIC. She told me the coffin shape, the length and the design is what made the price jump. Eventhough I knew that price was outrageous for the set I received, I paid and left. 3 days later I realized the black polish was already chipping on multiple nails AND one nail completely came off. I will not be returning. I got a pedicure and eyebrow wax. The woman who waxed my eyebrows came in the door right before me and sat me in the waxing chair. I had to ask her to wash her hands prior to touching my face. I believe that should be common practice. On top of that both of the eyebrow techs were double dipping the wood applicator sticks as they did my eyebrows and another woman's. Did a walk in the other day and had amazing service! The salon was clean and they were able to complete my full acrylic set with design in about an hour. I feel bad leaving this because I had left a review for this salon before after I wasn't super happy with my nails. I decided to give it another shot but I won't be returning. I didn't look at my nails too much after I was done because I was enjoying time with my friend while she was finishing up. However, when I got home I realized that I had paid the same amount for my acrylics (even though I didn't get a fake tip put on) and I wasn't even aware that no tip was going on. I have been to this Ambiance several times before this last visit and it's been hit or miss depending on who they have working. Lately I've noticed lots of new faces and this visit was actually an appointment I made the day before because they couldn't do a pedicure due to staffing. I get there for my scheduled appointment and still had to wait close to 30 minutes for services. My technician did a very poor job of cleaning up my cuticles as well as a very clumpy/terrible paint job. This was a waist of money and time. I was seated at the pedicure chair @ 5:35p services began she was finished at 6:00p and told me someone would come get me by 6:30p no one had come I asked for a manager. The manager gets to me @ 6:40p gives me reasons alledgedly why I've now waited another 45 minutes but I've watched people come & go. I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to a blind or visually impaired person. I went in for a full set of acrylic coffin nails with a design, i spent almost $100 dollars for my nails; only to have 4 out of 10 nails applied crookedly. Three nails were not fully covered with acrylic, there's spots around the cuticle and sidewall where i can still see my natural nail. The shape of my nails are also inconsistent, some coffin, some square and some squoval. Dare I even mention the nail design; the service I received was JANKY at best! It was no where near the design I wanted, I provided a CRYSTAL clear HD picture of the nail design I wanted in advance, before my appointment date. I then show up for my appointment that I scheduled for 11:30 am although Genesis had my appointment booked for 11:00 am and there's no nail tech available that can execute a nail design that didn't come from 1982. Some clients want a little more than a basic polish and a few rhinestones. Not all clients are Baby Boomers, us Millennials and Gen-Z clientele may want a more fresh/modern/TRENDY design approach. Any-who, Evon was the only nail tech "brave" enough to attempt my design request, so I appreciate her courage; bless her heart. Although she rushed through the whole application process of my nails. Needles to say I will not be returning to this nail salon for any future services. I honestly can't wait to soak my nails off and have a new set applied PROFESSIONALLY, not in a hasty, sketchy, crackhead kind of manner. I arrived at Ambiance as a walk-in at 1:00 in the afternoon. The man at the counter said that I would be seen in about 45 minutes to an hour. I waited for over an hour. I approached the same man after 1 hour and 30 minutes and asked if I was next to be seen. He told me that there were 7 patrons before me. I think there is a severe lack of organization at this location regarding walk-in appointments. If I had not asked about my time to be seen, I would have been sitting there even longer. I likely would have been ignored for the next hour or so. Please be warned that if you are a walk-in, you may be waiting for a long period of time .... even if told otherwise. read more

I had acrylic nails put on by Kevin, an older man, who did not pay attention and spent most of the time engaging other employees in conversation. The nails were done horribly--and when I returned to have my nails filled, the manicurist was shocked at the job Kevin had done and was surprised there wasn't mold. To fix the nails, she had to reshape them, making them narrower on top--it was the only way to fix them. If you want quality, I would go somewhere else. Been several times and each time they have rushed through the service, and the polish is clumpy, filing uneven. This last time, I had to redo my nails, and what I did actually looked better. I took a male friend and even when they didn't apply polish, they didn't even clean and trim his nails. It was unreal. I walked in at 3:30 Friday for a pedi and was not told that I would end up waiting 1.5 hours for service. They really should tell you upfront SOME sort of estimate of your wait. I had a basic pedi for $33, and my nail technician's face immediately registered disappointment. She gave me a half-hearted pedi and barely thanked me for the 20% tip. Booked a lash lift and tint at 11:30. Didn't get taken back till 12, was told i had to have my eyebrows done too because of the lash service..so they did my brows then I waited for another 30 minutes and then was told they don't do lash lifts. So we just did a tint that took maybe 5 minutes. Tech said $25.... Was not thrived, didn't see big different. Went to pay and they said $70 and i said that's not right. Then they said oh okay it's $40. Driving home I got a call from the manager saying I didn't pay for all my services..I'm a very patient person and i was furious. I booked an appointment, drove 40 minutes there because they said they did the service I was wanting..was there over an hour for maybe at most 10 minutes of work. Didn't even get to do half of what I booked. Very disappointed. Also the some workers had a disagreement in a room right next to me....Didn't seem to care that they were arguing in front of customes.... manager took one to the back and I could hear her yelling at him from where I was....very unprofessional.
