I was a biweekly customer for lash extensions for several months. I was not impressed by the length of time the lashes remained in tact yet, kept trying. I was then recommended for a brow tint and "laminate". It destroyed my otherwise healthy and thick eyebrows. I called to inform the owner and was told, "Pethaps the solution was left on too long". No solution or service recovery was offered. I don't do business with owners who don't mind their clients having a negative experience that takes months for nature to make whole. read more

I have had so many compliments on the Lash Boutique specifically by makeup artists. I was in a few weddings last year and every make up artist raved about my eyelashes and what a quality job was done. Truth is, if you are paying an amount that is too good to be true - it probably is! The Lash Boutique's prices are extremely competitive and I found it them be fair and accurate for the quality of services I received. Located in the Pretty Pony Boutique near Grandview Tavern and Better Bodies - Jamie will make you look fabulous for any event. Let's be honest. Everyone looks better tan. This location does airbrush tanning so it is never streaky and lasts at least a week in my experience. They have packages which make the services super affordable and a great add to your beauty routine. The lashes are even better. I was nervous at first but the process is painless and surprisingly relaxing. The whole set took about an hour and fill ins about half an hour - not bad. I was also worried about lash damage and there was NONE! Could not hype up these services more. Treat yourself. These services are totally worth it. read more

Disappointing lash extensions. Tried it twice to be sure, but glue burned my eyes on and off for a week after each 2-week fill appointment. When I shut my eyes, the skin on my lids pulled tightly. Design layout of lashes was nice, but overall would not recommend. Owner not overly warm or friendly. Salon was clean and decorated very nicely though. Jamie, the owner is the reason for my 1star review. I have had my lashes filled by her, over a year ago, and got the good fortune to try another tech in her salon who properly isolated lashes and glued one lash per lash. Prior to that I thought it was "normal"to have painful clumping lashes where big chunks pulled out as I washed. A 2 week fill should start with removal of "end of life" lashes and take close to an hour. Jamie skips the removal stage and averaged 35 minutes. While the salon decor is adorable, most of her products have a 100% or more mark up. Once I had experienced quality lashes, Jamie's attitude was the negative experience. She would be snide, bad mouth other clients and have a pretentious air about her. It's why the tech that started the salon with her left as have others. It was a relief when tech I was going to left this salon to not have to lay through fills with Jamie's frosty attitude radiating over. She was also in charge of ordering supplies and it was often she didn't order lashes, lash pads or spray tan solution so you may not get what you really want. Steer clear and realize when multiple techs leave to start their own shop and take 95% or more of their clients with them, it's for a reason. Edit: as a response to Jamie's comment, this review is 100% my own personal opinion. You did do my lashes in the past and I can clearly compare results from Katie to when you did them. Since I am a licensed attorney I am well versed in the definition of slander, and this is not it. I also never called you a name, I am simply described your attitude as frosty. If you are going to own a professional business operate a professional business. DO NOT LET HEATHER install eyelashes on you. DO NOT expect the owner, Jamie to care if your eyelashes are botched. On 12/16 I bought a "fabulous full set." The service was supposed to last 2 hours and include a consultation. Heather skipped the consultation altogether. She spent only 65 minutes on my lashes. She missed half of them and several hours after application I reached out to her - no response. Reached out to the owner - no response. The following day Heather said she could see me the following week and to fill in the lashes that were empty she would charge me! Her explanation was that she doesn't know how well I CARED for them. So in 5 hours after application, I caused Half of my lashes to fall out. #1st offense of unaccountability. I couldn't make it a week the baby lashes on my inner corner were so irritated because Heather attaches one large lash to many small lashes. See picture. I texted the owner she said I could come in later that day, no apology. Heather removed the offending lash extensions and blamed me saying it was most likely my at home care that caused this. I found this humorous. #2nd offense of unaccountability. How I could glue an eyelash extension to baby lashes is beyond me. When she went to remove them she used tweezers and said she didn't use the novalash glue remover unless it was to remove a whole set. That was painful. She did place a few more lashes during that appt but her eye for design is just not there. I'm sorry. Then today I was supposed to have a fill in. I couldn't go through with it. All of the lashes that were glued onto my single lashes were driving me crazy. The weight of 4 lashes to one lash hurt. I asked if she could gently remove my lashes that were inappropriately glued together using the glue removed and THEN do fill in. She said she wouldn't use remover just tweezers. There was no way I was going through that again! I kindly asked her to remove them. A shocked look came across her face. Finally, she used novalash glue remover and took them off. I sought out the opinion of an experienced novalash artist and she confirmed the way my lashes were installed was NOT a novalash technique. So Heather skipped a proper consultation, placed lashes quickly and skimped out on my lash set, used one extension glued to many lashes and many extensions glued to one lash, tried to overcharge me for her mistakes, and hurt my eyelashes when removing using tweezers without lash remover. The owner made no apology or accommodation. She turned a blind eye. I was considering keeping quiet and trying Jamie to see if she is any better- she has to be. But her manner in assisting is lackluster. I will be driving across the city to someone who takes their job professionally and artistically up to par. Never again. PSA you have been warned. Where do I even begin? Nobody is considerate at all there, they book their appointments on top of each other to the point where they were late for my scheduled appointment time. They care about the money more than customer service. The owner herself "helped" me. I had told her it was my first time receiving the service. She was hurting me and didn't even explain or apologize about the pain or what she was doing at all. I have wanted to add a review for a while now, but read the owner's response to the last negative review, and have held back. I can't imagine in what context it's ok to call a client a con artist for the world to see, but have decided my experience here is worth the name calling if it means preventing my experience. I had eyelashes done here by Jamie, and first trip was great. Eyelashes looked beautiful. On my last visit, I noticed lack of fullness and contacted Jamie. She said it may have been bc of volume lashes not being added, as they might have been last time. I noticed in following days that my lashes were completely stuck together. Even my teenaged daughter was asking me what was wrong with my lashes. So, I made an appointment with a different salon. My natural lashes were glued together in clumps. Jamie had not used the 1:1 lash technique as the last customer had mentioned. After a painful session, my lashes were cut down, and new lashes reapplied, and has taken months for natural lashes to grow back. I do not say this to be negative, or hostile, but this was distressing to hear your lashes being cut off after paying good money for a service. I would ask around and talk to people you see with good extensions before going anywhere. The salon I go to now has had many clients come from this boutique with the same problem. I will also say that extensions should look more natural. My extensions here looked mostly the same length, even when I thought they looked good. Just lack of experience. read more

i came to the lash boutique the first time for a spray tan years ago. they did amazing they made me feel comfortable and the store was beautiful! i had family who had gotten their lashes done by them and i admired them. last year i had gotten my lashes done for the first time by a different salon and i loved them. they were full and fluffy and comfortable. a few fill ins later i couldn't get in with my original artist so i got ahold of the lash boutique and made an appointment for a lash fill. they told me it would be $75 rather than their normal $50 price, which is reasonable! once i get in they had me sign a waiver ( i never done with my normal girl which kinda made me feel strange ) and had me lay down with one of their artist. the experience was alright although the artist didn't talk to me much, she was more interested in the other girls. the appointment didn't last very long, which i was shocked because i had a very large lash shed so many baby lashes were exposed. once she was finished she told me to open my eyes. and my bottom lashes were glued to my top ones, and she just told me to pull them apart which is whatever. and i know it is common but it has never happened to me before. when i had my eyes open they started to burn because the glue wasn't done drying so i closed my eyes again. I paid my $75 and a tip and i left. once i'm home i start to realize the girl at the boutique didn't separate the lashes like my original girl did. my lashes looked clumped together and they felt like they were being pulled. i book an appointment 3 weeks later with my original girl which was also $75 because now i have another girls work on my eyes. once i get in i told her where i went, how it went, the things i noticed, the way my lashes looked, the way my eyes felt, etc. once she started to work on them she said she has had many girls come in with the same experience and that she had to do a lot of work on them to fix their lashes. never will i go the the lash boutique for a lash set or fill in. but their tanning is amazing and their store is very clean and has a vibe to it. i will insert pictures from when i had my lashes fixed with my original girl. which includes how they're suppose to look and what mine looked like when i got them filled in at the boutique and not posting this to seem like i'm bashing, but only informing others of my experience with them. i've heard good and bad about this place. the manager seemed to attack another review and i do not think it was a professional approach "con artist". also might i mention this was in february so about 5 months ago read more

I have never made a Yelp review before, but my experience here at the Lash Boutique has been so bad that I want to warn anyone else from going to them because of my bad experiences. My first time going, Jaime, the owner put my lashes on. I have been getting lash extensions for over two years in high end salons in another state so I know the proper care & procedures of applying lashes. Her application was horrid and very painful. As the owner, I would expect the best from her. She glued many baby lashes to one single lash extension which resulted in my natural lashes to fall out & be ripped out, which caused bald spots in my lashes and, as you can imagine, was very painful. I brought in the lashes as they fell out to my next appointment, as to show her that there were many of my natural lashes glued together and she said that "sometimes that just happens." No. Not correct nor is that a good excuse for an owner. But this goes along with the fact that when I walked in to my appointment, she saw me sitting waiting and she proceeded to go outside to talk on her cell phone for fifteen minutes!? I had to just there and wait on her to finish! This cut 15 minutes into my appointment time. Once she finally came back in, she said she would see me now and finished my entire set in 35 minutes, with time to spare from my original hour long appointment. This cutting of corners explains her poor & careless application. Jaime was never friendly towards me and to be honest, made each lash fill very uncomfortable for me. She never tried to make any conversation with me whatsoever, so I would lay there in silence for 45 minutes while she talked to the other technicians around her. On numerous occasions, I would hear her bad mouthing clients as they left her salon or when she talked of a future booking- in front of me and other clients!!!!! What?! I always left the salon feeling that the moment I walked out, she was bad mouthing me also to anyone in ear shot within the salon. Overall, going to that salon was the worst experience I've ever had. I am in disbelief about how she conducts herself and is so rude and distant to the very clients that keep her salon open. I'm unsure as to why I continued going for fills, I definitely have buyers remorse and a bad taste in my mouth now because of this salon. Lesson learned; I hope this helps others in the future. read more

The lash boutique does not use a 1:1 application, as my lashes have been coming off in clumps of 4+. My initial appointment took less than 60 minutes, so they appear to be cutting corners. This is damaging to natural lashes and I will not be going back or recommending. read more

I have been getting my lashes done by Jamie for a year now, but have been a client of hers for more than ten years. I love the fact I don't need to purchase or use mascara at all. I receive compliments all the time and am happy to refer the Lash Boutique. They offer other services as well (spray tanning, lash and brow tinting, facials). I have not been to other lash artists so I have nothing to compare it to, but Jamie has been in this business for years and has more experience than anyone.
