Good work, terrible customer service. Even though I overlooked some nuances, I was pretty happy with this place until about two months ago when they stopped allowing me to book with my preferred technician, Katlynn. I've been going for more than four years and only booked with two techs. One of the last times I had scheduled (as I always do), they apparently overbooked my tech and I had to wait for more than 30 minutes before being serviced. Good customer service would 1. Honor your appointment/time 2. Respect your time due to everyone's busy life/schedule, and 3. Politely acknowledge the delay and offer some kind of incentive or compensation. Assuming that this establishment would care even a little bit about the tens of thousands of dollars I've spent with them, including referrals, I naturally believed that they'd happily agree to compensate my $10 soak-off since I had to wait for my full service anyway. Instead of smiling and agreeing, the man that walks around in a suit immediately turned his smile upside down and began speaking in a different language with staff around him, and ignoring me and my simple questions. It was very immature and unprofessional to say the least. I thanked him expressing appreciation, I got no response or smile. The next time I scheduled my appointment, I had to wait another 30-45 minutes because the same tech began a pedicure as soon as I got there. In my opinion, spiteful! Nonetheless, I waited patiently with no attitude or request for complementary service since I was treated so poorly the last time. As always, I still left a tip. The next time I scheduled an appointment I ended up getting a call the next day claiming that my technician left work early due to an emergency and asked if I could book with someone else. Instead of Booking with someone else, I just canceled because I only like one technician's work. I waited about two months before scheduling my next appointment (today) and before giving my phone number and name, they confirmed that my technician had availability for 12:30p. I agreed to the appointment time, and then (assuming my after reading a note in their system) the receptionist paused for a long time and then asked me to hold. That is when the man that wears the suit got on the call and asked if I could schedule with someone else because "Katlynn no longer takes appointments but only walk-ins." All lies.. I then asked if there is a reason I haven't been able to book with her in the past several months. As he did when I was in the salon, he ignored my question and proceeded to ask me who I would like to book with. I repeated my question and added "does Katlynn no longer want to service me", and he just stated that she no longer takes appointments. This is a clear refusal of service that they cannot be honest with me about, and it is representative of extreme immaturity and unprofessionalism. It's important to note that never in my time with the salon have I been rude, mean, nonchalant, ignorant, or impatient and I always tip. I work in corporate America, so I know how to maintain composure and professionalism and know that customer service is everything. A little disappointed with my ultimate manicure and pedicure. I felt some pain during the pedicure, mild stinging and burning from the products and techniques applied and I was just slightly nicked and experienced some bleeding during my manicure. However the mild discomfort I felt during my pedicure has grown into a painful lacerated rash on my leg. I typically don't experience anything like this after a pedicure which is the reason for my review. The pedicure was rough and felt slightly rushed. Now everyone in this country and others know this is a RED FLAG and iLLEGAL. I called my card company and they had already charged my credit card. I responded to F-off and delete my purchase. We then used a cash card and repurchased under my spouses name on his phone bc we were assured by the staff at this store this has NEVER happened before. They told me to call the man whose info is at the bottom of the pictures provided. Clearly he doesn't work on the weekends or answer his phone. Cash card, new name, new info, exact same circumstances and the email to my husband demanding if he wants the gift card then he had to send copies of his drivers license. This place is a scam. Check the better business bureau. When they have your card and your drivers license or military ID they can steal everything about you. read more

Overpriced for no reason. My typical nail salon was closed so I went to Ambiance in a pinch. I needed an acrylic fill in on my toes& basic pedicure, they were barely grown out but my natural nail super short so it don't take much to pop off and one had already popped off. At first they told me they couldn't do fill ins and wanted to ONLY paint the regrowth with gel and told me $118. I looked at them like they was crazy and said yall can't do a regular fill in? they said no, so I told them I was cool on the pedicure period then all of a sudden the tech went looking to see "If they had a powder to do the acrylic fill in", tech brought over a powder and told me it would cost $138 fora fill in with that "powder". I told them just completely forget it bc the whole set with a deluxe pedicure is only $118 at my regular shop. they tripping. so I proceeded to get my nails done on my hands and they charged me $20 to draw 2 hearts. & did absolutely NOTHING with my cuticles...absolutely ridiculous. This location is nice for the abundance of parking and many times right next to the building. The Technicians are nice and open to suggestions, I have never had a bad one. Tips to make your visit a success: 1) Make an appointment. I can not stress enough how important this is to an overall great experience. The days of walk-ins receiving prompt service are gone and the waits are long. Even with an appointment I waited close to 15 minutes. 2) Be careful of Extras. It doesn't matter what kind of service you opt for there are always extras. But many times they don't present them as extras that will be charged to you. For instance, you may ask for the Deluxe Pedicure and they may ask if you want paraffin treatment and with your consent but without tell you that you've been upgraded to the Ultimate Pedicure. I visited Ambiance on Tuesday and requested a gel manicure, with tiny little hearts on two of my nails on each hand. Very quickly, it became obvious my nail tech could not do hearts (or any designs), and she became visibly upset when I began asking her to make them more defined and smaller. Eventually I even told her to just nix the hearts! I didn't even need them. She refused to take them off of my hand because the polish had already started drying. Prior to her starting, I had showed her a picture of what I initially wanted and she had said she could do it, no problem. This was not the case. They turned out awful and very messy. I called and requested someone redo them after I was out at my car because my original tech was visibly frustrated and upset. They said yes, someone could redo them, and the girl working the front desk was awesome. The little hearts look much better, but the tech who redid them was obviously not happy about it. She did not say a word to me the entire time I was there getting them fixed. Despite the design looking better, they are already chipping and it's literally been 3 days. While I have had some good experiences here, this is the 2nd time a situation like this has happened and I will be finding a new nail studio. Yesterday, I visited this Ambiance for the first time with my friend who I was brining there for her birthday gift, being pedicures together. I've been going to another nail salon for years, but gave this business a try, despite the many negative reviews. I regret my decision entirely, and had one of the worst experiences as a customer at a business that I've ever had in my 37 years of life. This includes international travel experiences, local, and nation wide. First, the ONLY positive to this experience was that my nail tech Megan was incredible, professional, attentive to detail, and gave me one of the best pedicures I've ever received. However, my friend who I was treating to a birthday pedicure, ended up walking out of this shop having been disrespected and treated terribly. When my friend and I were walked back and sat next to one another for our pedicures, we were asked which pedicure we wanted, were given a menu, and we both chose the "Ambiance Botanical Pedicure", a 50 minute service. As my friend was getting her pedi done, we were both noticing that her nail tech wasn't completing many of the steps listed on the menu that this pedicure was meant to include. He was rushing through her pedicure, while I, who had chosen the same service, was receiving all of the steps in this pedicure service, by my wonderful tech, Megan. When my friend spoke up to her tech, showed him the menu with all of the steps of the service included, and my nail tech explained to him that he was missing many parts of this pedicure, (as she'd even provided him with leg mud masks and the lotion package he would need), he was confused and proceeded to tell my friend and my nail tech that he had done all of the steps and that she'd chosen the "basic pedicure". I corrected him, and when my nail tech went to explain what was happening with this situation to a "manager", the situation unfortunately escalated to such an unnecessary and unprofessional level from there. My friend's water had been drained and she'd been left to sit with already painted toes and very little of the service was completed that we were both to receive. At this time a "manager", being a short, aggressive individual, came over to my friend and immediately was defensive of the service she received. He was raising his voice at my friend from the moment he came over to her. This "manager" told my friend that the service she received was what we'd signed up for, that the nail tech she had was a "great guy, great tech" and that Megan, MY nail tech was just taking too long, and that not every nail tech could take as long with customers as her. This man was berating my friend, said we could "check the cameras" because he was right and she "received her services". This man was dipping his fingers in the partially opened lotion pack that had barely been used on my friend, shaking it at her, and trying to further prove his point that she'd received the service, condescendingly. This was not only factually inaccurate, but the delivery was inexcusable, rude, and unprofessional. At that time, my nail tech stepped in professionally, to explain what had transpired, even providing the information that she had gotten the leg masks and cooling mask that he was to use for this pedicure for my friend, and he had not used them. No leg massage was done, no exfoliating, none of the masks, and no cooling gel was used. I was very clearly still receiving my service by my excellent tech, as my friend was sitting there finished, and now being yelled at by this "manager". This subpar pedicure my friend received had all occurred in 38 minutes, so she was shorted 12 minutes of a 50 minute service. Since my friend was visibly upset and still being berated by said manager, I chose to talk to him while she left to compose herself. He gave me the same aggressive treatment while I was speaking to him in a calm manner. This "manager" reiterated to me that the tech who did an incomplete job was a "great tech" while pointing out that he was already moved onto his next customer. This manager remained aggressive and threatened to "pull up the camera footage" (again), to "prove" to me that my friend and I received the same service. At that point, I only wanted for his behavior to not escalate. This manager walked away in a huff, having offered no alternatives to rectify this situation, and gave no apology for this experience. I was then charged full price for both services. I saw why this company has a reputation for being a nail "factory" for a reason, as their main goal seems to be turning over chairs and not the customer's experience. I will never be back to this salon, and this company should be ashamed of the treatment my friend and I received. It was very concerning to me that my nail tech was treated the way that she was too. I hope this is a warning to other customers, because I don't want this to happen to anyone else. read more

The mail tech Hannah did a HORRIBLE job, I wanted to get french tip but she was saying something I could not understand about my baby toe ( there was nothing wrong I had french pedicure before) so she switched to all white. There were black brush marks on my toes and an air bubble so she "tried" fixing it by slapping extra white paint on my toes and there were visible lines jn the paint and it looked so rushed. I went in on my birthday for a gel manicure and a pedicure. I'm not picky and always tip well. I've never had a great experience here because I don't know who to ask for I guess and just always walk in/ take whoever. I got a recommendation to book a specific technician and I did. They are also very efficient and have your nails done within an hour. For those who do regular polish, they have a wide variety of polish selections: OPI, Kiara Sky, ibd, SNS, and Essie! Despite requesting the nail tech (Paul was the name tag he wore) to be more gentle multiple times, he ended up cutting my toe, causing significant discomfort and leaving me limping. After the incident, I reached out to the store manager Casi, who initially promised to resolve the issue with a refund after speaking with the General Manager, but despite my several attempts to reconnect, no further action was taken. I'm updating my review from last time when I got a thick, uneven set of acrylics. I went to get my acrylics refilled and reshaped and everything was well, however now two weeks later I went back to get them removed and have a regular manicure. My technician let my hands soak in acetone and completely forgot about me for about 30 minutes, then handed me over to another technician who thought it was pretty funny that my first technician forgot about me. My hands are super damaged from being left in the acetone, they're dry and covered in cuts. On top of that, the acrylic isn't even fully removed. My second technician also bumped one of my nails, and instead of taking off the polish and starting over, she put more polish and top coat on top making it super thick. Obviously that nail got ruined after the others dried. I wanted to like this place because it's so gorgeous inside, but the technicians don't seem very experienced and are not super friendly. :( read more

I however, never came here due to how difficult it can be to get an appointment and great experiences at one of the many nail salons in the area. Myself, the bride, and other bridesmaids decided to come here together to get our feet and nails done ahead of the wedding. We booked several months in advance so we were pretty shocked when we arrived and had to wait a while to be seen. I came in expecting a lovely environment but saw nothing but chaos and confusion. It was loud, no social distancing, and lots of people in and out of the salon. We were separated for our pedicures with a random customer stuck between us. In the middle of my pedicure, a woman came in and took a seat in the open chair beside me and began chatting with my technician. Rude. When she finished, my tech gave me a different tech so that she could give the rude woman a pedi. We had all hoped to be together for our nails but we all ended up finishing at different times and sitting in different places. They seemed ill-prepared even though we had our appointments for weeks, if not months and there was zero customer service. I will not return to this location. read more
