Pittsburgh Car Detail offers auto detailing, add-ons (e.g., restoration of leather seats), and…read moreceramic coating. My husband had an appointment to get a BMW X3 detailed here. He dropped the vehicle off in the morning. The owner said that his employees had called off work, so the cleaning of our vehicle would be done around mid-day. The possible packages were Exterior Only, Interior Only, Gold Standard, Executive, and Show Room. Prior to the drop-off, the SUV had fairly clean seats but a dirty dashboard, mats, etc. My husband thinks that he ordered the Executive package for roughly $300. The exterior was hand-washed and dried, and the interior was vacuumed and either wiped down or shampooed. The vehicle was ready for pickup on time. My husband told me that the vehicle now "looks great." I agree that the vehicle looks very clean.

I called several times over a few months trying to figure out which service would be best. Most importantly they do an amazing job! My car was sparkling in the outside and super clean in the inside. Also I didn't have time to schedule ahead so I knew it would be a long shot because they're always booked well in advance. They were willing to be flexible and we agreed on a day that I would drop off my car the prior evening and leave it there for the day. It's not inexpensive but you get what you paid for. I'm a very satisfied customer and will be back when it's time for my next detail.

Don't Do it! Paid extra over the insurance to have my front bumper painted and a detail while they…read morefixed the damage to the rear of my car. Front bumper had an orange peel finish, there is still dried wax wedged into the body crevices and my trunk doesn't close in alignment with the body allowing water and soap from a car wash to get into the rubber seal draining out on the bumper. The back bumper has spots that were not painted at all, just clear coat. I have asked about all of these things and this is what I was told. Did the orange peel on the front bumper intentionally to protect it better, bald spots on the back bumper because it wasn't a part of the original accident so they didn't paint it (the rear panel, back bumper and trunk were hit twice in a parking lot) there were not any spots without paint when I left the car with them. I took the car to a reputable body shop (Baldinger's Auto Body in Rochester) to have the trunk alignment fixed and was told it was not just an adjustment. The owner called me and said it could cost several hundred dollars to straighten. I called Barckhoffs Auto Body and told them where the car was and what I was being told (the trunk was a huge concern for me when I took the car to Barckhoffs and we discussed it at lengths) the response was, it is supposed to be that way. Not one time have they taken any responsibility for the crappy work. I am done with them, but don't take something to them that should be an easy thing because it won't be if you care about quality you will NOT be happy at all. I strongly recommend you head over the Baldinger's and get what you pay for not what Barckhoffs decides you should have. Update: Since posting this Barckhoff's has reached out and offered to try to make the trunk right. Following my own advice... Don't do it!

Tim, the owner, may have a slightly dry sense of humor but what he can do for your scratches and dents or customization is wonderful! My father swears by this shop and after having had to have some work after an idiot rear ended me I decided this was the place to go. You can tell this place will take good care of your mechanical metal baby and has a passion for his craft. The free estimates are a god send. I have been places where they'll charge you $50.00 or more for them to even glance in the direction of your car, but not here. I had the opportunity to sit in the small waiting room, surrounded by hundreds of model cars and Thank You notes, while he made some calls. Tim was trying hard to find the proper bumper for a Beetle that needed work. Much of the search does take place on-line. The insurance company that took care of my car even sent an email to Blackie's informing them to look out for my business. The only reason I didn't give this business a 5 was because of the inconvenient hours. They close around 5 Mon-Friday. At the very least I currently have my dad nearby to get the car for me, otherwise I'd have to use sick time from work just to take care of my baby. But she'd be worth it.
