We experienced great customer service and very kind folks at this storage facility. In all of the hustle and bustle of moving into the unit my Sister left her wallet at the desk. I recently won a unit thru locker fox auctions. 72 hours to clean out unit. Was ready to pay the day the auction ended. An emergency came up, my daughter was in ICU at Keck Medical Center of USC 2+ hours away. I called to see if i could just go ahead and rent the unit untill i had time to clear it. The lady was rude and would not hear me out. I currently have 3 units at 3 other facilities and all were more than happy to allow me to rent units i won thru auctions. What good business sense. Have a person ready to pay, at a profit for the facility and rent unit immediately. Now unit goes to second high bidder at a loss. read more

A O is a secure, clean, modern storage facility. The staff are friendly (Christi always brightens this old man's day) and helpful. The access hours are generally reasonable though I wish a little later for this night owl. Later access can be arranged ahead of time. We bought a home in Stallion Springs and were moving to the area from the central coast. While we were home searching I needed a place to bring some of my stuff so I can make my transision a little smoother. I decided to check this place out without any real knowledge about it. I just did a Google search on storage facilities and it popped up. I gave them a call and the lady I spoke with was extremely friendly and helpful. She was able to secure me a storage shed even though I was 3 hours away. I made the payment over the phone and she said I could fill out the paper work the next time I came into town. This was very convenient for me. When I arrived for the first time I found out they also had an area for RVs and trailers. I was able to secure 2 spaces for my vehicles even though I didn't have my paper work, again she told me to just bring it in the next time I was in town. This is the small town charm that I like and gave me a reassurance that I made a good decision moving here. I used to have a very high regard for this facility, as I've been a long time customer. However over the last year/2 years they have been EXCESSIVELY increasing the monthly rate, every few months. It's ridiculous! I am amazed at the greed. The increase letter they send out (regularly!) is worded in such a way as if we are supposed to be grateful for the fact that we- longtime, loyal customers- are being charged the same as new customers! Why even add that?? It's just rubbing in that we are treated no better for our continued business (even after so many previous increases). It's one thing to charge us the same, that's their choice, but why point it out as if we are supposed to feel relieved by it? So stupid. I will be getting on the waiting list for another facility now. Not like it will matter to them, but I know it will make a difference to me (as I have already priced the others, and this is NOT the cheapest anymore). If you are looking for a great place to store your items this place is it. The staff is very friendly and the facility is very nice. I felt very comfortable having my items stored there. Would highly recommend you check them out. You get 1/2 off your first months rent and there are no contracts or anything. I will definetly use them again if I have any storage items. read more

Very nice people keep a steady eye on your things! After I had left, I got a call saying my unit was not secure because someone didn't slide the latch over all the way. Lock your own unit! Don't depend on anyone. I didn't see any problem either and Even tried lifting the door. I called for help and they came right down! So thanks to their watchful eye, my things finally were secured by me. I really appreciate the thoroughness of security to notice. read more

I've been storing my belongings at Amber for probably five years. As far as the facility is concerned, it is always clean and feels secure. The office is updated and modern. A couple of times the "Open" sign was posted, but no one was there. I mentioned this to staff but let it go. I also accepted their incessant raising of prices without complaint. But a few days ago I drove for hours to put some things in storage and when I was ready to leave, I asked to use the restroom. The office staff person refused, saying they didn't allow people to use it. I was stunned. I said, "But I'm a client here. I have a storage unit. This doesn't make any sense." After some back and forth she said, "Well, OK, this time I will allow it." So I used the restroom, thought about it some more, & said to her: "Look, this may not be your fault but I need to know to whom I can address an email because I need to object to the management about this bathroom policy." The lady started laughing nervously and didn't give me the information I asked for. She said, "We've had transients here asking to use the bathroom so we have to be careful." I said, "I can understand that this is not a public restroom but it's rather strange to refuse a simple courtesy to a client." The lady continued to giggle and said nothing. She was acting so strangely and laughing so inappropriately that it dawned on me that this was not so much a policy, but rather her personal judgement call. Then I realized that this woman must have decided I was a transient. Really? I was well-dressed (albeit informally in shorts & t-shirt), wearing gold jewelry, a gold watch, leather sandals and carrying an expensive handbag. OR . . . was this woman's assumption that I was a transient due to something even worse? Was this an example of unconscious racism, since I am not White? All I know for certain is, if Amber Storage is relying on THIS woman to determine who is likely a transient, they are going to offend a lot of people. Remember, I informed her I had a unit there, which she could have checked. She risked a lot in making her judgment call, and her judgment was poor. If I could pull out my belongings tomorrow I'd do it, based on this lady's incredible ignorance and rudeness. But I'll wait a month or so until the timing is right for me, since my new house is going to be ready soon. Small businesses like Amber Storage should realize that human interaction and the goodwill of clients are the LIFEBLOOD of their survival. They can't hide behind corporate invincibility. Mistakes like the one this woman made will cost them. When small, local businesses fail to treat their clients with respect and dignity, they give them no reason to patronize them over the Walmarts of the world. read more

Very nice place, clean and well maintained. Only complaint that I have is that my bill was due on the 25th. You have a 10 day grace period. On the 1st my bank sent them a check, but was not received until the 6th. They even admit it was paid on the first but would not remove the $15 late charge. Always use their on-line payment and let them pay the bank credit card fee. read more

We rented a unit yesterday, drove 6 hours, got back to the unit today at appx 630 pm and there is a lock on our contracted unit. Nobody answers the phone...apparently you need a code to call them. No response from thier websight and we're sitting here with a fully loaded truck and car and wondering WTH is going on?????????????? read more
