I wanted to buy Chicken Salad & Bread for lunch. The chicken salad was 99% CELERY & ONION with salad dressing. This is corporate America charging customers for a product, fleecing them, & maximizing profits. Absolutely no recipe was followed in the making of the chicken salad. Did I mention the immigrant employee greeter at the entrance not speaking a word of English but just grunting and using hand gestures as if it would be good enough for effective communication? In any event the chicken salad sandwiches were a complete embarrassment to serve & I had to go back out to another store and do it all over again because the Chicken Salad from the Amazon Fresh Deli was a sick joke. read more

I think 3.5 stars for me. For sure convenient for me, I'm so glad they have pet supplies in stock. Some things are super expensive, some things are reasonable if you can find it in the house brand. I had no issues using the contactless checkout, a staff member helped me find the link. It was accurate, but the receipt was delayed by several hours. read more

Really grateful they opened in our town. Some items are reasonably priced. Lots and lots of employees filling orders not really available to assist shoppers. Great Amazon order pick up location. Light inventory. Lots of empty shelves. Appreciated the coupons sent via email. Unfortunately they seem to have discontinued the dollars off coupon. Look forward to see this store grow and prosper. read more

Casual place to shop for groceries, for some reason found it to be a bit more expensive than Whole Foods even if it is owned by Amazon. Otherwise, a nothing too-special grocery store. read more

I have been shopping at Whole Foods since they used to be on North Avenue by Halsted, what a great experience it used to be. Since Amazon has purchased it however, they are all about making things generic and cheap. I cannot wait until they get sold away from Amazon, and hopefully purchased by a company that really cares about customer service, quality of organic foods, and not slapping a 365 label on it, and calling it quality and organic. Equally important, a company who understands that we are not a Third World country, at least not yet. That they should treat their employees with respect and pay them well enough to earn a living and provide customer service. There's still a little bit of hope left, I hope it gets another owner -soon. Amazon does a great job in the product distribution market of non-perishable. They really need to get out of the organic business, perhaps they should've purchased a sub, standard grocery chain and provided their delivery service through them. What a shame this country is going in the direction is going because of the Amazons of the world. read more

They would be better off opening a whole foods here. This place is 3/4 empty all the time since opening day, especially the produce. I think whole foods would definitely bring more customers and have the shelves full more often with products read more

I return some Amazon products there and I'm always greeted warmly and helpfully by Alvin in the return window. He's always smiling and polite. What a great employee they have working there!! read more

I went there yesterday at 6:45pm to get food from the salad bar and the hot bar. The salad bar was totally closed and half the hot bar was empty, pans of hot food had been removed. It was my understanding that the salad bar and hot bar were open until 7:30pm. So I asked the front register employees and were told that they shut it down at 6:00pm tonight because they didn't have enough employees. There are supposed to have five employees at that section but tonight there was only one manager and one employee there. Obviously this staffing issue is a management problem that needs to be resolved in order to provide better customer service. I left the store empty handed, I went to Burger King down the road, they made me my meal with no staffing issue problems. read more

For those who have an Amazon account (or not) this is a great alternative. Fresh inventory, easy in easy out. Clean and orderly store and friendly staff. Definitely worth a try. I've been there several times and I'm glad there is a alternative grocery store in Morton Grove. read more

Entering the facility was super easy. Start by grabbing a basket or cart medium or large cart. Using your Amazon app, click the in-store code and scan in. The gate opens and the fun begins. Pocket the phone and start shopping. If you bring your own bag, pick and bag as . No app, no problems, there were six cashier stations open. Wow, everything is coded, from products to the cart and paper bag. Overhead and waist level cameras are everywhere to capture the codes and your behaviors. There was some whole foods products and other normal products you'd except from grocery store. The meat/seafood, deli, and ready to eat food and coffee machine were very clean with right-sized to their size of store. Aisle width is a little wider than the typical store, probably a compromise given the use of overhead cameras. The experience has a simple to use, cool factor. But in a long-term basis, would one pay a little more for that convenience? I'm never so rushed to deal with self checkout. After a few hours, I was notified of my purchases and the trip time. I do look forward to trying some of their ready to eat options as I frequent Mariano or Whole Foods for lunch when I don't bring in lunch to work. read more

Amazon Fresh - Look at all the dual cameras and cables. Lots of infrastructure to make this work. - Grocery Near Me - Morton Grove, Illinois

I have yet to taste the apples but their customer service is extremely poor. I purchased $107 of apples and paid $32.98 for shipping. Unfortunately because of Covid our family could not visit with us. Less than 24 hours after placing the order I called to change the address. I was assured that this would be done and I would get a confirmation via text saying as much. Heard nothing. That was on a Friday and I tried calling again on Saturday, but the offices were closed and I left a message. Called Monday morning and once again was told it might be a possibility and someone would let me know either way. Never heard a word. They never changed the address and the apples were shipped to me. Now I have to pay an additional shipping charge to reach a different destination. Not happy. Won't be ordering from them again. read more

Although I ordered numerous times from AF, I had never been in a store, and was pleasantly surprised. When you first walk in be prepared to remember which credit card you use from Amazon as you need it to enter. I found almost all items but one, so the employee asked if I needed help. I did and she assisted me to find the last item I needed. Produce was fresh, meat was tasty. Store was very clean. read more

The store employees are rude. Went in to do some grocery shopping and some amazon returns. Had my QR code ready and was lined up behind someone to scan to enter. The greeter snatched my cart as I was moving up to scan my cart because she thought I was trying to sneak in behind someone. Even if she did think I was trying to enter too quickly a simple "excuse me" or "please wait until the gate closes" would have sufficed. I decided to do my returns and leave without shopping. Will not be returning. read more

It is a glorified convenient store. It is easy in/out with the app, but the prices are higher than local grocery chains with half of the selection. read more

One of the best places to get groceries!!! Nothing can beat this place! Good place for your value read more

Overpriced, poor selection, I really don't see the point of this place. I stopped in hoping for a fresh experience and it wasn't anything to recommend whatsoever. There were more employees than customers so apparently, I'm not alone. read more

Amazon Fresh has become my grocery store of choice. It's essentially a small Whole Foods offering more traditional brands. I won't mention prices right now given inflation, as it's impossible to judge if they're that much higher than other stores. I'm not sure how much supply chain issues are impacting stock, but the shelves are pretty bare. There are several internal shoppers serving digital customers, which makes a lack of regular shoppers deceiving. It feels empty, but those internal shoppers are mighty busy! I told the greeter I was concerned they wouldn't stay open for long given the lack of shoppers, and she insisted they're doing well and won't be going anywhere. The salad bar and hot bar to my tastebuds are much better than other grocery chains in the area. Whole Foods has the best mashed potatoes and Amazon's are the same. Make sure to pick the right size container as that's how you're charged, not by weight. I made the mistake of using two containers for two different items, a scoop of each, and spent $14. Buying a slice of delicious pizza for a quick dinner is so easy. So far employees are very friendly and helpful. The guy behind the deli is adorable! The store is clean and neat and easy to navigate. Just keep in mind that while it offers items in each category, it is a small store, so don't expect a ton of options. In addition, don't compare it to large, big box stores. That isn't what it is. Amazon Fresh might not be for everyone, but it serves and important purpose and customer base. read more

Another visit to the Morton Grove, IL Amazon Fresh Store and another poor experience. Half empty shelves as usual. Constant price changing by as much as 50%. Over charged for the 5th time. Sam, the manager, confronted with a picture of the shelf tag ultimately tells me the shelf tag doesn't work and that he will not, NO, CANNOT, charge me the shelf price. He also says I should just be happy since I was using a coupon anyway and it's "just twenty cents". WHAT?!? First of all a "manager" can't fix a mistake and honor the shelf price, #2 I should shoulder the extra cost, not multi-billion dollar Amazon? #3 it's okay to charge whatever you want because I have a coupon??? He then tries to give me a bag instead. "It's worth a dollar." I don't want another bag, I want Amazon staff to honor shelf pricing and be able to correct the mistake at the register like every other store. As a matter of fact, I know they can do something, because a mere cashier did once give me a correction at the register without even calling over a manager. So, why can't Sam, the supposed manager do the same? Came home, and Mzamo at Amazon chat is supposed to be issuing me a refund for the $1.79 I ultimately paid. We'll see, there was a "problem" with the system so he couldn't do anything immediately. read more

On Monday 8/8/2022 I went to take advantage of the 20% off of salad bar for Prime members . At 5 pm there was barely anything on the salad bar . There were NO hot soups at all . Most of that staff shrugged their shoulders and said " were understaffed ". I filled a medium container ( you get charged by the container - not by weight ) . I checked out using my husband's prime account to get the discount . I went through the cashier , I scanned his account code , I paid by inserting my credit card in the chip reader and the prime discount was applied . woo hoo ! I thought that I was done but 4 days later I see a another charge to my credit card for double the amount . After investigating I see that 20 minutes after I left the store MY Amazon account and my credit card were charged for 2 more salad containers . It says that the credit card was keyed in . I called Amazon to reverse the charges and I just emailed their fraud division. The funny part was that I asked the staff for help and went through the cashier so that I wouldn't be overcharged . I think most people are uncomfortable with the idea that they could be charged incorrectly at an Amazon Fresh store and that would be completely accurate . read more

Amazon Fresh - Grocery Near Me - Morton Grove, Illinois

This market covers both online, traditional shopping with a well stocked and good customer service.

Very impersonal and cold dark environment. I asked one of the workers why it was so dark and dismal and he said that the store was meant for people who did not want to interact with others but instead have a quick experience of buying and leaving. This is not my preference, so will not return. Back to Wholefoods. read more

I have been to the store 3'times so far since it opened and only reason I went back were coupons I got. Every time I went, store shelves were nearly empty. The main point of thos store is to service online orders. You can see many employees working on putting the online orders together. There is many more employees than actual customers. So that is why many of shelves were empty and items unavailable. Prices are at the regular grocery store level and maybe even higher especially in the produce section, so the coupon you get almost does not have any benefit. Deli section and hot food stand are pretty mediocre, pizza is not that good. The no check out technology is interesting but at the same time you have to calculate in your head how much you put in the basket and at the exit you do not get anything that resembles a bill and you cant really know how much you spent until few hours after when you get email receipt and hope that you are not overcharged and that all of your coupons are accepted. All in all, not really worth any special attention. Local stores and grocery chains have so much more to offer product and price wise. read more

I love love their salt and vinegar wings from the hot bar! My family also loves their sushi. We have yet to try their pizza. I recommend they stock their store because sometimes it looks empty. The shelves are not fully stocked. Also they should lower some of the products. They shouldn't put anything on the very top shelves because people who are short like me I'm 5 ft tall can't reach it. We were trying to get a Gatorade one time and the flavor we like is at the very top shelf even my husband can't reach it so he carried my daughter to get it. read more

Store is beautiful and associates were very helpful. I felt uncomfortable with all the cameras hanging but just walked out as advertised. Didn't get the receipt til the next day and sure enough I was charged for the wrong bag. Yes you have to pay for bags..Just like Whole Foods who Amazon owns. I had to back the next day for them to charge for the right bag. Too much trouble to go grocery shopping. Don't think I'll go back. read more

I decided to check out the Amazon fresh store with my brother . Having been Will never return. I am 34 and after an accident 4 years ago I am in a wheel chair and recently my license I use for Id expired. Do to Covid and no longer driving I haven't gotten a chance to renew or replace with Id. Went to the liquor section and was immediately confronted by an employee with a dust brush, dusting what I have no clue. I assume probably trying to look busy since no customers shop there. He Asked for my Id ,just for being in the alcohol section, note I wasn't even purchasing anything and I was with my brother who is 45 and has a valid license. I was asked to leave because my Id was expired, I do not look younger then I am and my Id says the age I am. Amazon is trying to automate the grocery industry, and the employees they do have are following suite, turning into robotic corporate drones with no self thought and understanding . I believe this would not happen with a normal grocery store like jewel. read more
