We look forward to him and his coworkers taking care of our HVAC system as long as they can keep it going. We are so grateful to have a house that is cooling off. I reached out via Yelp to five different plumbing companies in the NoVa area for quotes and an idea of when they could help me out. Arlington Plumbing Heating and Cooling replied to my inquiry within minutes. I received quotes from three companies and Arlington Plumbing's quote was competitive. I was sold by Arlington Plumbing's promptness to my request and their professionalism on the phone. It was 9am, and I was told I would have hot water by the end of the day. Arlington Plumbing Heating and Cooling delivered. I was given an estimate of the time they could do the work and over the course of the day I was contacted a number of times via phone that they were on track. Arlington Plumbing arrived at the agreed upon time, did the work with a professional manner, they did a great job of cleaning up, and I had hot water before my spouse arrived home from work. My spouse thought I was a hero, but it was really Arlington Plumbing Heating and Cooling that was the hero. Thank you. I will definitely use this company again when I have my next plumbing issue. I will absolutely provide their contact information to my friends and neighbors when they have an issue.

We initially brought them in for a 2nd opinion, after being quoted almost $7k for a system replacement, which was recommended as the only solution. Marco came in, quickly gave us a much more thorough diagnosis of our HVAC issues system-wide - explaining how the problems we'd had tied into what he saw and the possible fixes, - a more reasonable solution along with an explanation as to why he recommended one course over the other - age of unit, resale value for home in future, performance, upkeep, etc. - and gave a very fair quote. Work was completed as promised, on time, and above expectations. He was pleasant yet professional, mindful of Covid measures despite the brutal heat, and took the time after to make sure we knew what had been done, what to expect going forward, and next steps to ensure the system is maintained and how he would communicate in the future. John was very polite and immediately told me my HVAC closet smelled because a mouse died in there. He also called a relative while at my place and on the way home to give me their suggestions on dealing with the smell, which has nothing to do with HVAC and is above and beyond in my opinion. Yes, I did have to pay the $100 fee to come out. I paid in cash to not have to pay the 10% processing fee. I was fine with paying this to have someone come out so quickly, and on a Sunday. They always promptly schedule my service appointments and communicate with me the day of to ensure expectations regarding timing are set. I always have the sense that they are looking out for me by providing feedback, offering suggestions, making any ask that I have a reality (i.e. finding an electrician to help install a new steam humidifier) and not pushing anything on me. Another company tempted me away from them as part of a membership package and failed miserably (i.e. 2.5+ months of waiting for an appointment, a prior day appointment cancellation by them and at least another month wait for the next available date). Promptly at 8 am this morning I called CARES to schedule my HVAC inspection. It was such a pleasure to speak to the staffing lady who so graciously offered me an appointment of TODAY. Wow! Such a treat! The team showed up a little earlier than planned with a pre-notification and quickly and efficiently made short work of my inspection. To top it off, their rates have not changed in 3+ years and was approximately 40% less than the other company's preferred membership rate. There is tremendous peace of mind with this company - timely scheduling, prompt appointment arrivals, friendly and efficient team members and seamless invoicing. Could not be happier to be a Client of CARES once again.

Living in McLean, you always run into the issue that a company is going to come out and up-charge you because of where you live. But Air Control has never been like that, I have always felt that they charge me an great price for whatever issue I am having with my units. The owner, Fred, is the friendliest person I have met in NoVA and bends over backwards to meet your HVAC needs. Fred has done so much maintenance on two of my units that they run like new. We're in the process of having to replace my oldest unit, which is about 20 years old, and he has been very helpful and resourceful on how he will replace them, what he will replace them with, as well as everything you need to know when upgrading to a modern system. Fred is very prompt and hard working, which I find to be lacking trait in Northern Virginia, so when I found Air Control, it actually put my mind at ease when it comes to my HVAC units. Also, Jackie who runs the office, is just as knowledgable as anyone when it comes to HVAC, so it's nice that when I call the office I'm speaking to someone who knows more than just how to set up an appointment and who also does their due diligence on your paperwork and is up-to-date on the issues going on in your house.

My experience with ME Flow is admittedly limited…read more I know ME Flow was a local company that was bought by Southern HVAC in 2022. Southern HVAC is funded by venture capitalists, for better or for worse. I will say when you call ME Flow, the customer reps are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We were dealing with what we thought was a potential plumbing issue so we reached out to ME Flow, based on a recommendation we saw in a local consumer directory. We were able to get a service tech, on a Saturday, to come within a couple hours of our call. After looking at our plumbing and inspecting the attic area, our tech concluded the smell was not from the sewer, but instead, dead vermin in one our basement walls. However, the tech made no offer to cut holes in the drywall to verify his suspicion. But absolutely bananapants, the tech suggested we buy some drywall mud and pack (ourselves, not him!) the gaps around the water pipes that went into the wall. Obviously, this is a terrible suggestion to just leave dead mice in a wall and try to conceal the odor by attempting to seal the gaps. Another thing I didn't like about this tech was that it was my spouse that made initial contact with the tech, and the tech decided to ignore my spouse and deal with just me. Oh boy, that did not make my spouse happy. But ending on a positive note, we found another plumber that cut open the wall and helped us remove several mice carcasses in the wall. Everything is now cleaned up and smelling a whole lot better. And fortunately, we did not end up with a big plumbing bill.
