My leaky faucet was under warranty so he looked up my model number (not even installed by ME Flow) and I was able to call Moen directly to get a new hose. He was just being helpful and pointed me in the right direction of a FREE repair which he didn't have to do. Next he replaced a broken garbage disposal which was why I made the service call AND in addition made a attempt to fix a defective, leaking vanity that no one would touch. BLUF: Didn't diagnose or fix the problem, didn't complete a service, and spent more time trying to Upsale than do the little bit they were doing. Do not recommend. I discovered the evaporation unit to the main floor was running continuously even when the system was turned off. I pulled the fuse and planned to make an appointment, but could not get past the blasted online not. I like to talk to a real person, so I stopped and started looking for a different company. My wife then made an appointment, but for a day I had to be at work. No problem, our college aged daughter was home for break so we kept the appointment. What a mistake! Of course my teenaged didn't know what the problem was. She said that the main unit "was making a noise." The tech checked it out and told her it was okay. I know he looked at it, because the fuse is back in, but dude didn't do anything, not only because the fan Continues to run all the time, but also because he told my daughter that it needed to be cleaned, but that he didn't bring anything to do it. The appointment included an annual service, so what the heck is he doing here without a way to complete a service? I keep a supply of filters in the closet with the main HVAC unit and they say that they changed the filters, but they must have done it at random because some intakes have new filters, some don't, and one upstairs they threw out the old one but didn't put in a replacement! And then they had this sales guy come out and try to sell us an entirely new system, telling my daughter who was there and my wife, who my daughter called on the phone, that the A/C unit only lasts ten years. All the while their own tech is telling us there's nothing wrong (even though he didn't do anything). They took my money for a service they didnt do and they wanted to sell me new systems! No way I would recommend them for anything. I think they behaved this way because they were dealing with women, a young gal at home and a mom on the phone. I purchased a HVAC this fall, installation team was great then. BUT Then this month, January, there were a few days the thermostat wouldn't go above 60 (perfect timing considering the big freeze). So I tried calling, texting, emailing -- all communication methods were OUT. Calls disconnected and no feedback to give me any hope a human received my distress messages. I figured out the issue myself, but UNTIL THIS DAY I still never heard back from them. Severely disappointing and now I am upset and stressed considering I am supposed to get maintenance with them (which came with the HVAC purchase). Horrible customer service and horrible communication. 1) They cancelled my appointment the day of and rescheduled for the next day. 2) The next day I was scheduled between 12-6pm. I called multiple times for updates on the technician's arrival time. At 5pm I called and was told the technician would arrive at 630pm. I called back at 7pm and was told the manager Earl cancelled my appointment at 5pm because they didn't have the parts that were supposed to have been picked up the week before. No one called to tell me they didn't have the parts nor to tell me they cancelled my appointment. I waited over 7 hours. Terrible HVAC service and rude employees. Tracked mud onto my carpet and were unresponsive when the A/C failed less than a month later

I had a service contract with them. They came out to do my maintenance check in June. Mid July I had an issue where my tstat was not registering a cooler temp. I called for a service check and the 1st tech that came out made a diagnosis, never tried to fix it and left. I will cut to the chase here, 4 visits and $1200 later I was told my AC had a leak and had to be replaced. There was awful communication from the office and I got the run around for 5 days before I finally got fed up and called another company to replace my AC. I had two animals and THREE grandchildren in my house and they didn't care at all that it was almost 100 DEGREEES in my house. The service manager even told me they would refund part of my money but A MONTH later still nothing. I have called TWICE about this and am STILL getting NO WHERE with ME FLOW. I had a1/3 Zoeller Sump Pump installed with Zoeller back up 11/28/2023 for $2,300. In checking I find the cost of the pump with back up is approximately $745. considering their labor charge $2,300 is EXCESSIVE. I find that my home needs a 1/2 HP sump pump. I spoke with their plumbing manager, Brandon Badura, & was quoted an additional $2,400. for a 1/2 HP sump pump. Brandon was courteous & professional but the price was EXCESSIVE. The sump pump I purchased 11/28/2023 (1/3HP) is perfectly good, however, it is not sufficient to pump the water & M F Flow should have measured & installed a1/2 HP sump pump. I see their ratings are only "1". I would like M E Flow to refund the money for the 1/3 HP sump pump installed in Nov. 2023. Further I would not recommend this company. What a disappointment! In December, 2025, my 6-7 yeart old Bradford White gas water heater was not providing hot water and i realized that the pilot light was not on. I reached out to several plumbing companies and M.E. Flow, highly recommended by a neighbor, was able to come and visit the next day. The representative who came on 12/24/2025 was nice and professional but said that the gas valve and burner were failling and he quoted a high cost for new parts as well as a whole new unit. I asked if it was covered under warranty and he said it expired in November 2025. I called Bradford White and they told me that the unit becomes out of warranty in December and that they always give 3 months post warranty expiry to accommodate for date of manufactured part and installation date variances. I left a message for M.E. Flow on 12/24/2025 and they never called back. I called back in January asking them to order parts under the manufacture warranty and quote price for install. No call back. I called again 2 days later and the plumbing manager called back and left a message stating he would call back at 2:00 pm. No call back. I called them and explained the entire situation, NO CALL BACK! Appears these folks are pushing products. Beware. read more

This is the most disorganized company we've ever worked with. We purchased Mitsubishi minisplits from them a couple years ago right when they merged with Air Plus. Was actually Air Plus who gave the estimate and we liked the product and that company. But ME Flow showed up for the install. We've since had ME Flow back out for maintenance of both the Mitsubishi and the HVAC system in the other part of our house and have been disappointed. The technicians themselves are good but the rest of the staff are disorganized, don't communicate well (they take messages but no one calls back, the tech puts a request in the system but no one looks at it, etc.), and they schedule service for times which no one shows up for and there's no communication about them being delayed so you miss a whole day of work only for them to show up that night. Unfortunately we have to stick with them since the Mitsubishis are under warranty with them but I don't recommend this company. And it doesn't matter if you have a membership (which we bought). Wow, the ratio of bad to good reviews really makes me thankful that M.E. Flow didn't give us an estimate. We called them to send a sales person to our home because we're looking to replace our aging furnace/AC unit. The salesperson did come, but over a week later, and M.E. Flow has ghosted us. They did send a survey by email, asking us how our experience was; obviously, we gave them a "sad face" (the response options on the survey were happy, sad, or neutral faces). This year, the AC broke (leaking inside the unit), the heater broke during last winter also, it's a brand new unit. A long story short, I called twice in a same day but no help, I asked to give me the warranty information, Bethany kept telling (more like yelling with the bad attitude) me that she can't help me. I always thought ME Flow was reliable but very disappointed. ME Flow has serviced the HVAC so many times this year with problems so let me summarize. The system is fairly new-less than 5 years and is kept in good condition with a service contract. We first had a humidity problem with biological growth and had ME Flow came out to diagnose the problem and they suggested temp adjustment and purchase the air scrubber. Honestly, we were hesitant because it was a large purchase and didn't know if that would fix the problem. Still having problems, we had them come back out, and found that the duct work was not installed properly-which caused the system to freeze up and the fan stopped working. ME wanted to charge us $2000 for a new fan when it was their installation which caused it. Then after arguing over that, we finally got them to cover the fan cost, they wanted to charge us full price for the yearly service contract. We thought this is the worse customer service ever! Recently, we tried turning on the heat and the furnace would not kick on and ME Flow came back out and a wire was not connected. They wanted to charge us a service fee. We were like no way! Then again after this last visit, the heat will not come on again. Thermostat keeps clicking but does not trip the furnace to come on. This is just ridiculous. We have had nothing but problems with this company and system since they installed it. My husband tried several times to get a manager to call him and no one ever did! My unit was negligently destroyed by another company. Giving up on them, I reached out to M.E. Flow and its honestly the highlight of my month. Alex from the Alexandria team came in during a busy week while on a commercial job to throughly assess the damage. After a significant diagnosis he spec'ed out accurately a new furnace. He was very patient and knowledgeable at explaining everything he saw and had very detailed opinion of exactly what needed to be done. Its pretty clear he loves his job and the people he works with at M.E. Flow. Seems to be big on knowledge sharing and teamwork which shows because the work is done quickly and effectively. Similarly, Mike, Gerson, and Erick on the installation team handled installing a brand new and more efficient furnace. Great job to Gerson and Erick who nailed a 1 hour delivery window (amazing) and promptly got to work swapping out my furnace with new technology and practices that were not around when my condo was built. They too were very patient as I had to be in a bunch of uninterruptible meetings while they were on site in my condo. I highly recommend them and M.E. Flow if you need help with your furnace. I was told they would arrive between 8 AM and 12 PM noon. They never arrive to 130 pm in the afternoon. I waited around for them for 5 1/2 hours. Only at 12 o'clock did they let me know they would be late. And then they said it would be 1230 to 1 o'clock. But that didn't happen. I am disgusted with them. Rather than send someone over at the initial visit, they just talked to us over the phone about something they never fixed. ME Flow is lying. My husband and I have been here all day, working from home, so I would know if someone from ME Flow came by as a follow up. You never checked to see if the unit was not installed properly, because you never looked under the insulation foam in the attic (it has not been moved - so you are truly lying about what service you provided). You made an assumption and then charged me $400 for an assumption that was incorrect. If you had sent over more than one person, I would not have a leg to stand on, but the fact that you are telling a bold face lie and still didn't fix the problem is what is making it worse. And not to mention the fact that Nate was rude and incompetent on the phone is an entirely different matter ,that you failed to address! Yelling and cursing your customers, that is how you treat people? Really? Refund me the money for service that was never received. read more

I hired M E Flow to clean my furnace. They did a very poor job and way overcharged me.

Got a full new HVAC system from M E Flow 5 years ago. A few months ago my electric bills went up a lot. Once I noticed, I called M E Flow. They sent out a tech within a few hours (that's good). He determined that I either need a new capacitor or a new compressor. Compressor is really expensive, so he suggested the capacitor (so far, so good). Then the bad news. $450 to get and install the capacitor - not covered by the warrantee. These systems are supposed to last 10 to 15 years, you'd think they'd be rolling strong after just 5 years and the company would fix them if they weren't. I could understand a nominal service charge, but not $450. read more

Our Childcare Center in Alexandria has had a service contract with M.E.Flow since 2014. While the service has been great for the most part, a recent issue has us down on the company as a whole. During the scheduled service inspection of our units on 10/10/19, the technician made a note that our blower belts needed to be replaced. The belt replacement is included in and covered by our service contract but the technician noted that he did not have the belt on hand and would have to return to put them on. Needless to say, no one came back to replace the belts until it snapped on 11/13. Another technician then came out to replace the snapped belts and proceeded to charge us $307.95 for the same belt even though the notes from the inspection a month ago clearly showed that the belt should have been replaced then. I contacted the first technician that performed the inspection to verify the accuracy of the information from the October report and he stated that we were correct and we should not have been billed for the replacement since it should have been done at the time of the Inspection. He stated he would contact the office to get it fixed. Despite his efforts and several calls, we have also placed to the billing and accounting office, the bill remains uncorrected and M.E Flow continues to send us payment notices for a repair that should not have been necessary if they had just honored their own service contract and replaced the belts during the inspection as noted. The technicians are and have always been great but it's been a horrible experience with the office aspect of things. read more

Ended up settling out of court because I wanted to just be done with them. There are plenty of HVAC contractors in the area. You can do much better than this "organization". read more

I contacted them to inspect and service my tankless water heater. When I called the service center I was asked the model number and all specs of system. The appointment was scheduled and a technician came out. Once the technician arrived and inspected the unit, he began trying to sell me on a new unit that cost over $2,000 to install. The technician claimed my unit produced 3 gallons of hot water per minute and with a quick google search it does 9.5. He again try's selling me on getting a new unit and says there aren't any error codes so everything is fine it just need to be cleaned. I called the manufacturer and they had me run a few checks and identified multiple error codes with the burners not igniting. I called them back to come and fix what the manufacturer suggested and I was told "we don't know about these units and don't work on them." I was told to call someone else to come fix it. I was charged for them to do nothing then be told they don't work in these models and to call someone else. This is the most dishonest and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I would never use them or suggest them to fix anything for anyone. What a shameful company. read more

M.E. Flow replaced my water heater some months ago. They were great at that but apparently included a plumbing inspection to be performed at a later date. I thought they were coming to check on the water heater yesterday, but the technician informed me that it was for a full house plumbing assessment. I think it was really an opportunity to create business for themselves. After he finished, he stated that most of the water shut off valves in the house failed and toilets were running nonstop. We have nylon shut off valves that he must have stripped by doing a hard shut off. He informed me that we qualified for a discount since so many needed to be replaced. Now we do need to fix the toilets and shut off valves. None of the toilets were running nonstop prior to his visit. He quoted over $1000 to fix three toilets. We just spent $60 at the hardware store to fix the toilets ourselves. I am sorry I allowed the technician in my house. This wasn't the way we planned to spend the weekend. UPDATE: M. E. Flow earned some stars back with their subsequent service. The customer service team made a great effort to try and get in touch to rectify the situation. Rich from the sales team went above and beyond in spending lots of time working to find a solution and make things right. While we did not end up dealing with them again, it was not because of their lack of effort trying to repair the relationship. We had M. E. Flow come out in September to inspect the HVAC at the house we just bought. A man came, inspected and cleaned the AC unit and furnace. Sold me on a UV light air cleaner and a service "membership" which allegedly covered the cleanings and inspection now and again for the AC in the spring and guaranteed a discount on future service. It seemed overly expensive, but I was suckered in by the promise of future savings from the discount and priority service. The first cold day in December, our furnace suddenly stopped working. I called M. E. Flow at 11 AM and explained the situation. The guy on the phone was polite, friendly and professional. He was very apologetic about putting me on hold while he made some calls to make sure we could "get on the board" for service the same day. I really didn't mind being on hold as long at it was getting sorted out. He told me that someone would come out the same day and said the tech would call 20-30 min before arriving. I was satisfied with the service and thankful I'd paid for the service "membership" in September. Then I waited... and waited... and waited. It's now almost 24 hours later and I've received no word. Thankfully we have a fireplace. With the fireplace and my anger at M. E. Flow boiling with heat of a thousand suns we were able to keep the house above 50 through the night. At 6 AM I called and followed the voicemail prompts to leave a message that it said "will be received when M.E. Flow opens" at 7 AM. I left a message and waited. At 730 AM I called again and was told by a polite but curt woman that she was from the answering service and all she could do was take another message. At 830 AM I called back a third time and finally got someone. The man I spoke with apologized about the situation and explained that I had never been "put on the board" for service. He was very nice and professional, seemed to genuinely care about my predicament and wanted to make it better. However that doesn't excuse whatever M. E. Flow failure lead to the situation in the first place. I was again told I was "on the board" for today and that I would get a call 20-30 min before the tech arrived. Hopefully someone will come today. I understand that this is a busy time of year, but if M. E Flow can't handle the demand, just say so and let customers get service somewhere else. Don't waste people's time and fireplace fuel. And don't sell me a service "membership" that's ultimately worthless. The whole point is that I pre-pay for service in the hope I get it in the future. What's the point in a service "membership" if I can't get service? This will be the last time we deal with them. read more

Air conditioning breaks so I call ME Flow to repair. Tech shows up and tells me in order to repair they need to order a part. I approve and then he quotes me price for repairs with and without service agreement. Cost without service agreement was over $2,000. But, cost for service agreement is $165 and this gives 15% discount on work plus multiple maintenance visits during the year. I approve work order and receive a call from their sales division a few days later stating they ordered the part and again sells me hard on the benefits of their service agreement. Again, the sales guy quotes me $165 and tells me total cost for service agreement plus actual repairs and labor is $451. I ask for a written quote, which they sent via email and is for a total of $451. Next day, different repair tech shows up with the part and before he starts the work asks, "have you already paid for this? I think they gave you the wrong cost for the work." He hasn't even walked around the house yet and was immediately telling me the cost was wrong. I told him we hadn't paid yet but I was quoted $451. He immediately said he can't do the work for that price. I told him I had a written quote and showed it to him. He replied the sales division doesn't know what they are doing and that I actually needed to buy 3 service agreements for each zone in my house (so, $165 x 3 + parts and labor). He argued with me vehemently and I had to ask him to leave my home right away and not to return. I called R&B plumbing instead who gave me cost for less than $500 for all diagnostics, labor, parts, and no need to purchase a service agreement. read more

I was disappointed to learn that this thermostat model runs $70.00 at the most on the Internet. DISHONEST! I currently have a maintenance contractor at home home. He offered to clear a non-draining AC water pan that is in the attic for $533. I politely declined because I figured I could clear clogged drain line myself. As the technician proceeded to check the outdoor units I went to check on the non-draining pan to ensure that it would not overflow before I got a chance to check it. Turns out that the pan could use some cleaning and does have water in it up to attached pvc/drain, but is draining as is designed. read more

We had a contract with them. They fixed our AC and said "everything was ok with it", a week later it broke again. We called to get it fixed and they came and determined something was broken. They stated that they did not have the part and would need to order it and it would cost us around a grand to repair. After three days of no response in 90-degree weather, my family was left in hell. Our three dogs were extremely hot and my elderly sick Grandmother was left to the extreme heat. My 80-year-old grandmother dealt with the matter but was repeatedly ignored and told they were getting the part. They scammed my elderly grandmother. We had three fish die from the heat during this time and it definitely took its strain on the whole family in multiple ways. After being fed up, we contacted a different company which came and ended up informing us that "our unit was perfectly fine, and that M.E. Flow turned off our unit most likely to scam us into buying a part that we did not need at all. Dead pets, extremely hot weather, and elderly chronically ill residents were scammed and lied to. read more

I gave m.e. flow five stars only because I knew that people would read it. They actually deserve one star, and I will hereby explain why. I had five techs come to my house to assess and fix our furnace breakdown, and only the last one succeeded and was truly honest. Flow was the most dishonest of all; they wanted to replace five expensive things for 2,400 dollars. Their recommendation was of course to buy a new from them, predictably. My final and correct fix was from Muhammed at Dwight Muse mechanical. Total bill: 180 dollars. I have a ph.d as does my wife and she has been an ambassador twice. I own 3 rental houses, doing much of the work myself. We are credible people. M.E Flow is not. They should be on channel five news for being con-men, and their should be a federal government regulatory agency to chase these people down. read more
