Update: I prematurely rated amazing lash studio. I still believe the service was great. However, the lashes placed os what I bring into question. It's falling out too easily and too soon. We're talking since the day after. I followed instructions and waited 24 hours before washing my face and etc. I'm careful when washing my face. I don't use oils or facial creams. I wanted so badly to give a 5 stars, that I did so prematurely. I truly appreciate exceptional customer service that's not forced or mediocre. Carolyn was my lash tech today and she's an exceptional employee. Very patient, kind, competent, and explains everything so that she's on the same page with her clients. It was my first time there and my overall experience was good. I had a few lashes from a previous place that needed to be removed and it was removed painlessly with tweezers. I requested the classic/natural style lashes - full set. Carolyn delivered. Tip was well deserved & given. Service for removal and installation took 2 hours. Front desk was useless with information of why I was being charged double for services I only used one time each month. Management tried to square it away but ended up doing more damage and by the end of our conversation she was saying she needed a safe space. Total waste of money! I got a full set done 2 days before (Saturday) a trip to Vegas. By Wednesday 50% of the lashes had fallen off. I have had my lashes done many times at my old lash salon, and over a month on, I would still have way more than I did with the "amazing" lash studio. My sister and I came here for introductory full sets for my upcoming wedding. We both chose the 'natural' lash extension look. My stylist was very nice, gentle, and efficient. She helped calmed my nerves as I had never had lash extensions before. And she made sure I left knowing how to take care of them. The following week, I went to an Amazing Lash Studio in NJ for a touch up. Both locations were very clean. I was on-time for my appointments and was seen right away. I appreciate that they provide blankets as it does get cold in the rooms. I did not experience any adverse reaction to the glue or application. While the lash extensions did not last as long as advertised and my real eyelashes were left weakened, they looked perfect for my wedding day. read more

I am not one to write reviews, but I felt as though it would be a disservice to the community to not share the incompetence and underwhelming customer service I've received at this studio. I have visited the salon 4 times total. The first technician was amazing! She no longer works there :( Every time since I have been consistently underwhelmed with the results. So although the place is very clean and nice to walk into and the staff is very friendly and courteous I just do not recommend coming here for lashes at all. The lashes looked great the first time I walked out but two months later after two refills and one more full set I'm just not convinced this place deserves the money anymore. My natural lashes are half the length they used to be and I haven't had so much fall out from other locations. Also there was residual glue left on my lashes after I had gotten a new full set here. Looked kind of terrible. I got a regular set here and they all fell out maybe a week later. I practice their after care the best I can. The membership is a total waste of money. They make it seem like it's a better value but it's really not at all. Do not get talked into buying a membership. They try to lock you in for 12 months of $70 per month which doesn't even cover a monthly refill OR a full set. So you're really paying 150-200 a month. And you can't cancel your membership after 3 days. Like how am I supposed to realize I'm not benefiting from the plan after only 3 days? I wanted to like this place. I'm not usually one to leave a review but I feel as if I have to, my experience was pleasant however the lashes were done very poorly. They are extremely sparse and look very plastic. They used very cheap lashes to apply them. As well they try to sell you foam cleanser and a brush that is completely over priced and unnecessary. Another huge problem I had is it is $79 dollars for a first time set but after that it's $250 unless you want to get a membership that is $100 a month and is binding. This was my first experience with amazing lash. I got my full set applied on Wednesday night and within a few hours multiple lashes had fallen out. I followed all instructions like not taking a hot steaming shower, getting your lashes wet, touching your lashes, or sleeping on your side or stomach. The next day there was a noticeable difference between my left eye and my right eye, one looked like I had falsies on and the other looks like my sparse regular lashes. I called the Commack location in hopes to speak with a manager in order to resolve the situation. I was told that the manager wasn't in and that I was already speaking with the assistant manager, when I asked again to speak with the manager I was told I would get a call back. After not receiving a call back I decided to call again and this time the manager was in but did not get on the phone with me. The assistant manager told me that she "understands" and will give me 10$ off my next fill. 10$ off for a mistake that was made on a service that I had already spent 80$ on didn't seem fair or "understanding". I traveled over an hour to come and get my lashes done and am unable to get back within a week as I am going on vacation (hence why I got the lashes in the first place). Because of the time period, she said they were unable to fill in my lashes without charging the full 60$. I think that it is unfair that because I'm not able to make it back within the week I am the one being screwed over. The lashes fell out the night they were applied! I offered to take a photo to show the damage that has been done so they know that the lashes hadn't fallen out all week long ( as I know that it is normal to lose some with time). I was put on hold upwards of three times, and then told once again that the manager will call me back. I never like to leave bad reviews, but as someone who works with people daily, the customer service I received was so horrendous and inadequate. You can tell that they were not interested in accommodating me and solely interested in making money. Not to mention- I signed up to become a member- this is not the type of service that a "member" should receive. I am appalled by the lack of care, communication and the inability to resolve such a simple situation. After coming for over a year to this place I'm extremely disappointed about on of the stylist attitude towards me and my kids, She was annoyed of how many kids I have and not being able to come alone cause I don't have anywhere to leave them. I have 3 little boys that I had previously left sitting there and there was no complaints about them. The stylist kept staring me down and my kids constantly saying how I shouldn't have brought all of them and that I have to many kids and that next time I should leave them at home. I had an appointment for my first time this past Saturday. A customer from my job recommended it to me. When I first walked in, I was greeted and then sat in the waiting room. I large woman came out from the back who I am assuming is the manager. She confronted the receptionist who appeared to be new and still learned. The manager was so rude an unprofessional to her that I actually felt bad for the receptionist. She was publicly treating the employee like dirt because she "checked me in too fast". After that, a young woman comes from the back to seat me in her room. The employee had very long nails on the made me question her ability to apply the lashes. The employee did not know how to explain what I was going to have done, and knew none of the prices. I went in thinking it would be $99 for a new client. The lash stylist kept talking me away from the volume lashes and said that based on what my usual lash place did, it is "mega volume there". The appointment took an hour and a half and I was extremely unsatisfied. My eyes burned profusely, and the tech got lash glue stuck all over the corner of my eye. When I got the front to pay, they told me it was $170. Total rip off! I paid and went to my car and noticed the lashes in the corner of my eye were all glued together. I went back in and they had another tech fix the issue. I still left unsatisfied. I will literally never come back to this place again and urge others not to waste their money. read more

I told them AGAIN that i was to be billed at the 119.99 per the owner and could I speak to a manager. As usual no manager was there and couldnt be reached. Its obvious there is NO MANAGER and no call back. So I am AGAIN NOT GOING BACK AND CALLING MY CREDIT CARD OR THEY WILL JUST KEEP CHARGING IT. Such a shame that I have to leave such an unpleasant review because I have been a loyal customer for a year and a half. I have been seeing Codi for a few months and she is literally incredible and leaving will be very difficult. It took me a long time to find a place after I moved here and until now it was pretty good. Some stylists are not really on par with others and they do tend to cancel on you here and there but none of that really bothered me, especially since I was seeing one of the head stylists. This past time however was a nightmare. I will spare the girl and not post her name. Anyways, they had canceled on me and worked with me to try to find a new day and time which was totally fine. I could tell right away that the girl was new. It took her a while to tape me and then took an hour and 20min for a fill. However, she was really nice and funny so I was hopeful she would be good! Within TWO days almost all my lashes were coming off. To the point where even my boyfriend noticed they were all over the bathroom! Not only were they just falling off my lashes I had CLUMPS of lashing falling out with 3-4 lashes on one lash! They were literally breaking off! I am really not one to call and complain but this was just ridiculous. I called and they told me that it was natural for this to happen? Come on.... I was a spa manager for 9 years. I have plenty of friends who do lashes but I'm not from around here otherwise I would be going to them! And she was trying to tell me this happens... because no this doesn't happen! I was shocked with how much they tried to deflect this issue and not take responsibility. I was a loyal customer who never once complained! She then told me that I could have a redo but had to come that day. I informed her that I could not make it because I work 60 hours a week and they are 40min from me and I was working a double that day. She said she would talk to her manager and that it would be taken care of and that I would get a call back. Two hours later I got the call and was told that they could fit me in a day later and that it would be $49.00 but they would credit me $10!!!! That is a total joke! I went on and said how unacceptable this was. I understand the girl was just doing her job and telling me what her manager said but she was rude and really didn't seem to care. The best she was able to do was fit me in for a fill and I'm still being charged $30. I am only going back because I have a gift card to use up. They literally could care less about their customers and only care about the money. When I asked to cancel she told me I'll be charged one more time for march. That's a month away. I said to her you just proved yet again that this is just about money. I will be canceling my credit card and never returning after I get them corrected. Save yourself the time and money! Aesthetically the studio looks great and the employees are generally nice. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the quality of the adhesive or the application method. I decided to sign up for the membership after my appointment because I was happy with the way my lashes looked. Within a few days some of the lashes started to fall out which is pretty normal. By the time I went for a refill three or four weeks later almost all the lashes had come off. The stylist warned me that normally having so few lashes will result in having to pay for a full set $40 extra on top of the monthly member ship ($70). I scheduled my next appointment for two weeks and again almost all the lashes came off. When I was paying the extra fee I was told that my next appointment would be scheduled to fall after the new month starts and would be included in my membership . At that appointment I was told I had to pay $70 for the refill because apparently it didn't fall under the membership schedule. Having to pay hundreds of dollars a month on a service I'm never satisfied with is frustrating. Additionally, I feel like the technician constantly insinuates that it's something in my routine that is causing the fall out or recommends that I pay for their overpriced products. I've had lashes for over two years and this has never been an issue. After moving back to NY from Dubai I was happy to find a lash studio that replicated the high quality standards I'm used to. I've been shocked to see the negative reviews for Amazing Lash Studio franchises all over the country. I believe amazing lash studio is nothing more than "fools gold." This place overall is good but this review is more so about my lash tech who keeps me coming back - if you're going to get your lashes done here you must go to Christina - she always gives me an amazing set that I get tons of compliments on but people never can tell that I actually have lash extensions. No one ever says oh you have really great extensions but rather they tell me I have really great eyes or fantastic lashes - and when I do tell people I have extensions they always say how natural they look while still enhancing my eyes. I'm only doing 4 stars because yes, it does require maintenance and it's not cheap but if you get them done by a quality person, they last longer and they look great which for me, makes it worth every penny if you're going to indulge in this expense. read more

My lash technician helped me customize my look to exactly what I wanted, and she was very honest about advising on my request for a bolder look that likely wouldn't have held up well since my lashes are so thin and short naturally. I appreciate her not letting me run the risk of my lashes twisting and falling out prematurely, which I've experienced in the past when other technicians didn't warn me of the potential risks of putting on lashes that were too heavy. Customer service is absolutely the worst here. After Frankie the manager left the whole place turned to crap. The girls at the desk are nasty and unprofessional. They're very unorganized and never know what The other is doing. At this point there is no manager. So when you have an issue the girls at the front desk handle it and they are young girls with attitudes and a chip on their shoulder. If I didn't have a contract with them I would have left already. Worst customer service biggest rip off. I joined the club and was told I could use my credits for lashes or products. My lashes would start falling off after 2 days so I was not happy with that. After a few months my natural lashes fell out completely. I wanted to cancel and was told I couldn't but that I could use my credits for nature lash ( which was $78 but now $129). I went in today to do so and was now told I can't use credits for products. I explained that Michele told me I could but unfortunately Michele no longer works there. I am not one to write bad reviews, actually the opposite. I enjoy writing good reviews. Everyone writes bad reviews and that's easy to do. However, this "studio" is ALL about MONEY!! The only person willing to help me when I had an awful experience was Bethany. She took the time to calm me down after I sat in my car for 30 minutes right after my extensions were put on and fell out in less than an hour later? My eyes were swollen and tearing. The edge of the tape was literally up against my eyeball. I went back in looking for the managers, Frankie and Jaime, I was told by one of the employees at a previous visit Another client told me who was sitting there even more annoyed than I was.She was waiting for one of them ( Frankie or Jaime) to show up but they were nowhere to be found. Then? Another client came in and wow! Was she mad!!! Her cheeks were covered in fallen eyelashes. How interesting! The 2 other clients and I started talking and found it rather strange that Bethany was THE only employee behind the counter who approached all 3 of us and obvouly cared about her clientele. The 2 other clients had he same wonderful experience with Bethany's professionalism. Where were the owners? Where were the managers? The managers were nowhere to be found but Bethany was. She was genuinely listening to my concerns and the other 2 clients' as well. She took the time to listen to me and asked me just to wait. She promised me she will help resolve my hideous lash extensions. In less than 10 minutes she had me see Judy who was amazing! Every time I went in Bethany greeted me with a big smile remembering me. But? What happened? I went this week and was told she was fired? She was the backbone of this company. Jaime and Frankie? Are they actually real? I've never seen them and my appointments were staggered at different days and times. I believe they were the managers but they were never there? What does that say? I've yet to speak to them and tell them how wonderful their previous employee, Bethany, was. Now I will not return. I have never made a yelp review but it was absolutely necessary for ALS Commack. Worst beauty experience of my life. The first time I had a full set done here by stylist Alexa or Alexis, I went to a different ALS studio for a refill and they refused to even refill on top of her atrocious work ! It was so terrible it took an hour to remove the clumpy mess that she left on my lashes. She applied multiple extensions on one of my natural lashes. I couldn't even get a new set because my natural lashes were ruined and patchy, the night before a big event. I waited a week and went back to Commack assuming it was just the stylist and I was given a free full set for the trouble as well as a more advanced stylist who I was told was going to be Cody. The morning of my appointment I was given a different stylist named Melissa. She convinced me to get a 6D volume set so I paid for a 45$ upcharge. My lashes looked great leaving the studio that morning and by the time it was 10pm I had already lost 7 volume lashes. Do not go to Amazing Lash Studio Commack unless you have money and time to waste. I'll be trying the Merrick store next. read more

I've been coming to the lash studio since August despite reading bad reviews about the place. I was satisfied with my first set of lashes although they were quite expensive. $130 to be exact. I then purchased a monthly membership for $139.99/month that would cover the cost of two refills per payment period. A bit pricey, but sounds reasonable. Here is where my three star review comes into play. There are hidden fees at every turn and conditions to the membership that they don't tell you. I chose the 3D Hybrid lashes for my first appointment, but I was unaware that there would be a surcharge of $25 in addition to the cost of my membership per appointment. You can get the standard individual lash extensions, but it is only a mascara look and does not look anything like the full, voluptuous lashes that they market their product as. What really put me on edge is the additional fee for a "master stylist". My lashes were falling out like crazy so the receptionist recommended that I book a master stylist. She did not tell me that there was a $20 up charge to see this special stylist. As you can tell, the costs keep adding up. You're not just paying the $139/month that they tell you.
