To start, they took me 15 minutes late. I had a reservation for 5:00 PM. Not only was I on time for my reservation, but I was early. They did not take me until about 5:17. MEANWHILE their "late policy" is if you are 9 minutes late, you'll be marked as a "no show." Okay. Well what about if THEY are late taking you for a scheduled reservation? My wax technician was not as friendly as other wax technicians I've encountered over the last 10 years or so. I also felt a bit rushed when I was finally taken. I would not visit this location again. Bad vibes.

Unfortunately, every time I came, there were different technicians so consistency with the same person was not likely to happen. Recently, I had a Brazilian and within a few days I noticed course hair growth, I have never had that happen before and I called to ask for a touch up. The person on the phone was very rude after explaining to me that the policy was within five days I had called on the fifth day and they would not have me come in for a touchup because it was "outside of the window" I was annoyed however I accepted it for what it was and promised myself If it ever happened again I would call immediately. Needless to say it happened again with the same technician. The next time I went back for a wax Brazilian three days later there was hair growth this has never happened before and all of my years of waxing, I explained that I thought the hair was breaking instead of being pulled from the root. They told me since it was within the five day window. I could come in for a touchup, but it had to be with the same technician. She was not scheduled to work until Friday and Saturday. I work Friday so I could not schedule Friday so Saturday I booked her when I got there Saturday for my appointment they tried to tell me I had to pay for the service again. I explained that I had called within the five day window and whoever put me in the timeslot had explained to me that it would be covered as a touchup because they could not put me with a new technician and her schedule did not allow for a sooner appointment . When I got there, the technician tried to tell me it was because of skin care routines I haven't getting waxed for probably about 20 years and I've never had this happen. Again they tried to tell me that the service needed to be performed within the five day window. I had asked originally if I could be with a different technician since this is the second time I was not happy with the services. quite honestly their professionalism at the counter can be questionable depending on who you get.

Alyssa started off with my legs and worked her way up to my face. By the time I was done, I was so relaxed, I almost fell asleep on the table! So so so impressed by Sugared Beauty, I actually ended up signing up for the membership! I can't wait to come back and get another massage, and try some of their other services! The ambiance of the location is so zen, so cute, and so perfect for a relaxing massage. The location is prime, parking is easy, and they have the best bagel place and coffee place on the same block :)

I usually get a pedicure , and do my own nails bc my job makes my nails a mess anyway . So today was a treat. Well it turned to an (hour +) nightmare instead. The girl got the red dip all over my hands, cuticles and my nails looked like chiclet gum. Thick is an understatement.. I had to ask the nail tec to thin them out numerous times and clean my cuticles and fingers .. while the owner/ manager gave me an attitude and told me it was my nails .. and I must have never gotten dip before ! I work in a salon , and have numerous times not to mention the color was everywhere on my fingers and palms . She didn't like my comment and spoke about be in her native language with an attitude the whole time .. finally after having filed my skin (yes you heard me correctly) and nipping at my skin with the cuticle nipper ... here's the "beautiful" job they were satisfied with ....needless to say I'm not And they charged me full price . They look like my toes , they are so thick and weird ... so embarrassed of my hands . I'd take it off but my fingers are in agony at the moment from the abuse ..

Writing this as I'm sitting in the chair for the second time in 1 week. I was a new customer coming…read morein right before my honeymoon for a full gel set. I was told this costs $70. Reasonable. I arrived and was told the tips are an additional $10. This didn't make sense to me but I agreed and got the tips. (Crystal tip gel set is also $70 so you tell me where the issue is). Btw I had to ask him 4 times to file my nails straight because every single one was crooked on an angle. My nails ended up costing me $105 for a full set with 4 nail designs. Whatever. It was my honeymoon I didn't want to argue, I just figured I'd never come back. 3 days later my middle nail separated and popped off. The next day, my thumb nail came off. The following day, 3 nails on my opposite hand separated and cracked off. Photos attached. I called and told them what happened In less than a week- I was advised no manager was in the shop (on a Saturday..?) and to come in when I got home. I sat down in the Salon and was asked to pick my color. I showed the girl doing my nails and the owner what happened, along w timestamped photos of what happened and when. The owner goes on telling me it's time for a fill in. Now anyone who's ever had nail sets on knows that you don't get a fill every week. I barely had any growth as it is. I wanted my nails fixed and that's it. He told me- well we can fix the broken nails but to change the polish on the other 5 nails would cost $30. I said absolutely not - I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. I have no problem leaving a generous tip for helping but I'm not paying $30 for polish. That's absurd. I said just fix the nails and I'll have them polished elsewhere. So he got on the phone for a few minutes and tells me $20 is the best they can do. I said no thank you and he scoffed back at me with nothing else to say. I don't know how this place has good reviews- the owners are ripping everyone off and nickel/diming every person who walks in the door. Will NOT be returning and will be advising others to stay away. It's a shame because the other techs do a decent job from photos I've seen. I hope the owners read this and realize what went wrong here. I'm a business owner myself and I would never treat a single client of mine this way. EDITED TO UPDATE: and of course- after just getting fixed on Monday; one of those same nails broke off. Again. I've never experienced this. EVER. And they charge top dollar? Crazy.

He was super outgoing and easy to talk to, and I ended up telling him about my hair color issues. Not only did he take the time to listen to what I wanted, but he also had availability to fix my roots and do a glaze to even out the color on the rest of my hair. He really went above and beyond, and I absolutely love how it turned out. My hair feels fresh, and healthy! I'm so happy I found this place and Frankie!
