I was hesitant when we pulled up to a house, but you know the whole judging a book by the cover. My wife loved it and you know the happy wife line. What I didn't count on was me loving it..it was an attack on blackheads and it even came with a fantastic shoulder massage while a mask did some magic..now I may not look 10 years younger, but I feel like I do. I had a mixed experience here. First, just so others know, this salon is run out of someone's home--not a storefront or commercial space. I don't necessarily mind that, but it would have been helpful if it was explained more clearly when I booked. The message I received said, "It's a private property, go to your right when you arrive." Since most businesses are technically on private property, that wasn't very specific. I purchased a Groupon for a single-process color, cut, conditioning treatment, and blow-dry, and booked my appointment for 12 p.m. about a week in advance. I arrived around 11:50 but wasn't taken until about 12:25. Not a huge issue, but the wait felt longer since it was warm inside and a bit uncomfortable. Once seated, I explained what I wanted, but then had to wait again before someone came from the back to start my color. She didn't make much conversation, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it made the experience quieter than I'm used to in a salon. After the dye was applied, I noticed the timer stopped working at some point, but eventually it was time to wash it out. The wash itself was nice--the shampoo and conditioner smelled great. My haircut, however, felt rushed. I only wanted my dead ends trimmed, but another stylist stepped in and seemed to finish in under five minutes. For the blow-dry, the stylist who did my color also handled this part. She took her time, sectioned my hair carefully, and overall did a good job, though there were a couple of moments where my neck was tugged a bit. All in all, it's a decent little salon. I bought the balayage package with a blowout from Groupon costing $119.00. My appointment was changed twice before getting the service requested. The appointment started with I have to pay an additional $30 for toner not included or advertised in the package I bought. I agreed since I was already there and needed my hair done. I wanted a caramel balayage and my hair layered. I left the salon with my hair more blonde and no layers. I even had to inquire if she was finish cutting my hair since she only trimmed the back of my hair. I'm very disappointed with how my hair turned out and have to pay another hairdresser to fix this problem. Don't recommend! I'm dark skinned so being blonde is a problem. read more

The Groupon deal may be tempting, but "Too good to be true" is a saying for a reason. A full head of highlights turned into a stripey two-toned mess of scattered weaves and harsh bleed marks. Marilyn did a fast job because she completely ignored what I asked for. After leaving here I immediately called my job and had them try to salvage what they could. For where Marilyn falls short, her daughter Genesis makes up for. Because I had purchased two Groupons at once, I had to return to Marilyn's salon for a full set of lashes or risk returning the Groupon and finding a lash tech on short notice. Genesis did a wonderful job. My lashes are full & voluminous. She was kind & attentive and provided great knowledge on lash maintenance & aftercare. I called and whoever I spoke to was nice and said I could still use it and fit me in for a facial that week. I showed up for the scheduled time to find out that they were supposed to contact me because there was no one on staff that day to give me a facial. I was frustrated because I took time out of my work day and no one called or texted me to let me know. They rescheduled and I called to confirm before showing up. Everyone is nice and I love to support small businesses, but the facial isn't a private experience. You're in a room with other people getting their eyebrows or lashes done etc. and you can hear talking, phones ring, music from the other room etc. If I'm treating myself to a facial I want it to be as relaxing as possible and feel like the Groupon should note that. The facialist was nice she asked me a couple questions and did her thing. I've had hydradermabrasion facials before and I felt like she used the machine for like 1 minute and didn't really execute that part of the facial with precision. She ran over my face once very haphazardly. Most of the facial was extractions which is fine but I feel like if I'm paying for a service it should be executed correctly. Cute little place inside her house. It was my first time ever getting my eyelashes done and didn't know what to expect. I read tons of reviews (which were all amazing) but no one mentioned that the process isn't the most Pleasant. The tape used to hold down bottom lashes was very uncomfortable for me and the adhesive to put the lashes on was burning and made me tear up a lot, I was given a fan to hold to help with the fumes. I guess that's why they say pain is beauty! This isn't a review to bash this place but simply to inform newbies the cons of getting them done. I absolutely love my lashes, Genesis did an awesome job and was very gentle. She showed me different pictures of styles she had done and listened to what I wanted. 1) You're walking into someone's house, not a business location. Very small and crowded. Be prepared. 2) Totally unorganized. When I called and asked to confirm the time of my first appointment, she lied and said 530 (In hindsight I guess because she was already planning how to get out earlier than scheduled) when I said that I was told 6 or 630 she said oh yeah that's it.... then text me back less than 30 minutes before my appointment and cancels saying that she has a family emergency. Okay. She made 0 attempt to reschedule my appt until I finally reached out on Tuesday. She suggests tomorrow at 3:45. Naturally, Given that she canceled the first time, I texted first to make sure she's available. She texts back saying that she's totally booked until Friday. Clearly she has canceled my appointment again. She text back at 3:50 saying oh yeah your appointment is at 3:45. When I called to reschedule, she yells and argued with me accusing me of missing my appointment. After I explain to her the conversation that led me to believe that my appointment was rescheduled, she tells me that she doesn't need my business and I can take my Groupon elsewhere. No problem. Getting a refund will be less of a headache than trying to schedule with her again. read more

I had a full set of lashes done about three days ago and I didnt have an issue with the glue hardening and irritating my eyes afterwards which is a plus the staff was very nice and the place is extremely clean and relaxing. I do wish that the lashes were more fuller but they still look very nice. I will be back in a couple of weeks for my fill-ins and I highly recommend this place for nice lashes. read more

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Went with a Groupon for mink lashes. I was given low quality synthetic lashes and they were not at all like the picture I showed her of what I wanted. There was glue all over my eyes and the lashes were poking my eyelid which led to extreme discomfort. I had to go back the next day to get them removed because they were so bad. I sat there for over an hour while she continuously pulled the lashes and got chemicals in my eyes, only for her to say she can't remove them and I was left with more than half of them still on. Went to Milan lash and they took the rest off with ease (if you're looking for a lash place they're fantastic and also on Groupon). I was not given a refund even though the lashes were only on for about 15 hours. Terrible experience all around. read more

Save your time there are plenty of professional shops to go to other than this one. Came here as a new client and had a hard time getting someone to call me back to make the initial appointment. The woman's cell phone is her buisness phone. Shop is cute but fire alarm beeped the entire time. I called her phone 7 times and left voice mails to get a two week fill, had to message her on instagram and was only able to get an appointment three weeks later not two. I then tried to call her 3 additional times about my appointment and again no call back or answer. She simply didn't care and it shouldn't be impossible to make an appointment. I now have to pay someone to take my eyelashes off which were done crooked and my eye was scraped with the pads she put on my face. I had to go to an eye dr. She didn't care when I expressed that it was too difficult to make an appointment with her. For the price you pay you definitely get cheap service too. Not sure how they have people going there when you can't even get her on the phone to make an appointment. I work in a salon and it baffles me that things were handled like that. read more
