Most recently I have found a new threading place because I was consistently disappointed with the outcome at the HammondAire location by new staff. My current threading lady is on vacation and wont return until the end of the month so I decided to visit Maria in the mall location. She rushed through the service and when I pointed out some unevenness she insisted it was not (it was). By the time I got home I saw she had threaded my skin badly and I have a cluster of swollen welps in the center of my brows. I am so disappointed because the service used to be so good. I will not be returning-i'll just have to wait it out if im ever in a bind next time

A host is there waiting for you as soon as you walk in, which I love (I personally hate when I walk into a nail salon and they yell, "how can I help you??" And I have to yell back that I want my upper lip waxed, it's embarrassing when there's a room full of people now staring in your lady mustache ) but not at this place! You can walk in and talk barely above a whisper to the host to tell them exactly what you're there for. I did make an appointment on a Tuesday evening and I showed up early for it and was seated right away for my pedicure and manicure. Both my manicure and pedicure came out great ! Will definitely be back for this again! I also noticed they did waxing and other "permanent makeup" procedures such as eye brows and I will say I'm interested in doing one of these services next. It looks like a lot of people get their brows done here from the other reviews I saw. The people working there also all had very good eyebrows and I don't think that's a coincidence.

About 30 minutes later, I was told to go sit in the pedicure chair, so I assumed I would be helped shortly. Instead, I sat there for an entire hour with no water in the bowl and no one starting my service. I also asked for an eyebrow wax, which was never done during that entire time. Throughout the hour I was sitting there, employees repeatedly looked at me and walked past without communicating any updates or acknowledging how long I had been waiting. At one point, one of my friends laughed and an employee told her to be quiet because "people come here to relax." I found that extremely rude and unprofessional, especially considering we were paying customers who had already been sitting around waiting far longer than we were originally told. I was finally helped around 5:50 PM, only 10 minutes before they close at 6:00 PM. Even after my pedicure was finally started, the service was extremely disorganized. One employee started my pedicure and then stopped in the middle of my service to go help another customer. A completely different employee came over and continued my pedicure, then he stopped as well, and the original employee eventually came back just to paint my toes. I was essentially passed back and forth between employees after already waiting over an hour to even be serviced. I understand that businesses get busy, especially on weekends, but I arrived an hour and 35 minutes before closing, which is a completely reasonable amount of time to come in for a service. If they did not have enough time or staff to accommodate me, I would have much rather been told that when I arrived instead of being quoted 45 minutes, left sitting in a pedicure chair for an additional hour, and then passed between employees once my service finally began. Overall, the lack of communication, extremely long wait, disorganized service, and the way we were treated made this experience very disappointing and unacceptable. If you cannot properly accommodate a customer before closing, be upfront about it instead of having them wait around for nearly an hour and a half and then rushing and switching employees throughout their service.

I haven't let anyone cut my hair in about 10years due to multiple bad experiences (none at Ulta), but she made me feel so comfortable. Throughout the treatment she checked on my scalp, made sure I wasn't burning, asked if any areas were more sensitive. By the time I was done rinsing I was confident that she would understand that I only want a trim, and be willing to work with me to get rid of my dead ends over time. No one wants a cut when they just ask for a trim. And ladies did she deliver!! I can rake my fingers through my hair with ease, and let's just say the inch and a half she took will NOT be missed.
