I used to go to Maria years ago before she opened the mall location and was strictly at Hammond Aire. No issues. Most recently I have found a new threading place because I was consistently disappointed with the outcome at the HammondAire location by new staff. My current threading lady is on vacation and wont return until the end of the month so I decided to visit Maria in the mall location. She rushed through the service and when I pointed out some unevenness she insisted it was not (it was). By the time I got home I saw she had threaded my skin badly and I have a cluster of swollen welps in the center of my brows. I am so disappointed because the service used to be so good. I will not be returning-i'll just have to wait it out if im ever in a bind next time read more

Internet times are incorrect. Area surround establishment is extremely dirty. Choose a different location

if I could give 0 stars I would. would not let me speak to tell her what i wanted, when it came to the finished product she wouldn't let me tell her what I wanted. I asked for just wax and she still did treading and overcharged. read more

Went to The Mall of Louisiana to have facial threading done . Worst experience ever!! She rushed through it!!!!! 5 minutes for the whole face & only about 50% of the hair was removed!! She was more concerned about finishing quickly so she could get the next person in ! So sad to choose money over quality of work!! When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she became RUDE & very unprofessional! Will never go back ! read more

Happy to have found a convenient threading spot in Baton Rouge! $9, fast (I was the only one there around noon on a weekday). Located above Tuesday Morning in a small hallway with various salon/stores Updated after 2 more visits: still okay, but felt very rushed and wish she would've spent more time threading. Definitely left a few hairs behind, basically $9 for 2 minutes. read more

I did not have a good experience here! Maria saw me quickly but she also messed up my face. Before I sat down in her chair several people came into her suite. She didn't take time to ask me what shape I wanted for my brows. Although they turned out okay, I can't say the same for my chin. Maria didn't just thread hair, she threaded my skin too! Now I have a long series of cuts all along the right and left side of my chin! They are red and SUPER noticeable. All this because she was RUSHING! I literally sat there for about two or three minutes. She was not warm and didn't even offer for me to see her work before she told me the price and expected payment. She just wanted to get on to the next. After all of that, I ended up having to clean up all of the hair she left behind. I would NOT recommend coming here! read more

Finding Maria has been one of my hallelujah moments this year! She is awesome! Her place is located in this little strip mall( in the middle of no where), in this complex on the 2nd floor that is specially for beauty stuff -salons and whatnot. The place is small, but clean and Maria is really jack of all trades here - she will do everything from eyebrow threading and waxing to hair color and facials. I go to her for my threading and waxing needs and she is great. She is quick and very skillful- so I don't need to worry about her doing a good job, she is consistent too. The place can get super busy - even with an appointment due to all try people that come in for eye brow related walk ins. She seems to be a very happy go lucky girl, and is always smiling. She will listen to my concerns, which I like :) During busy times, she will tend to rush a bit, and that's when I have to tell her to slow down or go take care of her rush customer and come back to me - so I try to come with time at my hands. Other than that, I love coming to her - it makes me a little mad that I only just discovered her.. But thanks to fellow Yelper Krystal for introducing me to this place! read more

They were very quick and very kind. I had my brows threaded as well as my upper lip and am very happy with the results!

They do a good job on eyebrows and I didn't have a wait at all, but this was during the week day and they had just open.

I got my eyebrows threaded and the result came out nice. My eyebrows are naturally thick and go in different directions with high arches. So I often get my brows cleaned since they have their own shape. And, as said earlier my brows were on point So this place is definitely for the thick brow folks read more

/needed my brows done desperately and was stuck in Louisiana for work/ Brows turned out way too thin (despite me telling her I like them thick). She also decided to FaceTime call someone while in the middle of threading my brows.. She didn't charge me for my service because my brows were ruined.. read more

Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the lovely lady that assisted me (the one with the arm tattoos), but she did an amazing job. She was very gentle and patient. I came in on Saturday morning for a full face wax/threaded. I explained to her that it was my first time, and I have a very low tolerance for pain. She talked me through the process and made me feel very relaxed. The side burns hurt sooooo much, but she made me as comfortable as possible. She also did an amazing job on my brows. I'm not sure what products she used on my face, but when I left my skin was silky smooth like a baby. I should have asked her, but I didn't. My skin feels amazing. Whenever I go back to Baton Rouge, I am going to be sure to visit again. The ONLY con would be that the chairs are next to the window. It made a little self conscious to be put on full display which getting my face waxed and threaded (I got a combination to ease the pain). Other than that, I highly recommend. *Note, if you use a credit card, there is an up-charge based on the price of service. I believe if the cost is around $20, the charge is only $1. Full face was $23. I paid cash and left a generous, well-deserved tip :) read more

I've been here twice & had a terrible experience both times. Was super disappointed after reading all the other reviews. The first time I came here my eyebrow shape came out horrendous (not cleaned, and somehow my shape was messed up). The second time I came to do a full face thread and did everything but my eyebrows and that offended the women doing my face, even though I was willing to pay the full price without getting my eyebrows done. She also kept asking MANY uncomfortable, intrusive personal questions about my life. read more

ask for Maria!! she is amazing literally the only person i will let touch my eyebrows !!

Alright, so I believe that this is one of those instances where "you get what you pay for." I have been looking for mink eyelash extensions for awhile now. I was interested in going to Maria since she had really good prices ($70 for a full set) and good reviews. I was skeptical but, I checked out her Facebook page and the pictures looked great! So I decided to go there first thing in the morning. During my visit there, Maria continually talked on the phone to her friend, which was pretty unprofessional imo. She also rushed through the process and glued the extensions onto my eyelids... That's a definite problem as the lashes will not last as they must be glued onto the lash itself and it causes the eyelashes to stick straight up. They were also really clumpy looking since she glued the lashes wherever and they looked nothing like the pictures she posted on Facebook. Therefore, I do not recommend this place for eyelash extensions, no matter how convincing those photos look! read more

Maria is amazing! I go to the Mall of Louisiana location and she has great customer service. Ashton is also great! They follow my natural shape and are very attentive. I highly recommend them for your threading needs in Baton Rouge. read more

I'm very disappointed! The reviews and photos look GREAT, so maybe I had an isolated, horrible experience. I came here with my guy cousin and boyfriend. They both got their eyebrows waxed. (note: I had to convince my boyfriend to do it) anyways, their eyebrows were so thin! My cousin's eyebrows were shaped nice, but very thin. My boyfriend's thick eyebrows were now thin, but the arch she cut into them did not match. Needless to say, he no longer trusts me when convincing him to try new things. I got eyelash extensions. I felt really comfortable while she was putting it on, and she did it really fast too. However, when I looked at them later, I was horrified. You can see a thick line of stretchy, rubbery glue along my lash line (very obvi). I grabbed it, and it pulled off like a strip eyelash (even though it was individual). She used so much glue, that it was basically a bad strip lash instead of a natural individual lash. When I pulled it off, some of my real eyelashes came off, but it's ok bc I didn't want to keep it on me like that. She's a very nice person, I just wouldn't go back. read more

I was actually scared to look in the mirror and find that I would have no eyebrows because this woman worked so quickly. But Im very happy with the results that her 17 years of experience have given me! I have sensitive tear ducts and have cried every time I've gotten my eyebrows threaded elsewhere. I guess the last time was the last time because I sure didn't tear up today! Needless to say, I will be back. read more

I really wanted to get henna done, they said for the designs for half arm it would be over $50 and questioned why I would want henna if I'm not getting married. I recently moved here and it makes me feel close to home in a traditional sense and I want cool henna, not a simple wrist design, but who needs to explain anyway. Then the price kept going up as she kept talking about how intricate the designs could get. I've had it done before, but it was rationales for why it would be pricey. I still waited, but after they took all customers before me while I waited over 30 minutes, I decided against the henna, got my basic brows done and don't think I'll come back. I don't know why it was difficult to get good service if I was willing to pay for it, but I'm glad I didn't. read more

Walked in with thick brows, left with uneven brows. Prior to sitting in the chair I told her to just clean my brows. She went extremely fast and rough with turning my face which I did not like. I looked up to see my brows were unevenly shaped and she took a huge portion out of the middle portion of one my brows. She said she did not make a mistake and that I did not have hair there. I showed her pictures of me prior to entering the salon and she said that I had powder on. Consistently went back and forth with her stating that I did not have hair and that she did not make a mistake when clearly she removed too much hair. I look at myself everyday you think I would know what I look like right? read more

I've been going here to get my eyebrows done for over a year, and Maria, the aesthetician, is awesome. She's really good and fast at threading eyebrows. I've gotten a few facials here too. A $20 mini-facial that lasts about 25 mins or so is a great way to keep my face looking fresh and clean. Maria also does other stuff like eyelashes, henna tattoos and waxing. She's open all days of the week from 9 am until 7 p.m. I think she closes earlier on Sundays, but I'm not sure. She's very responsive to texts and calls from people who want to make appointments. But you could just walk-in too. Highly recommended! read more

It was a little tricky to find at first. It's upstairs, go into the door all the way to the left and she's the first door to the left as you enter. She didn't have anyone else in at the time, so there was no wait. She was quick and friendly, but rough. I had high hopes due to the great reviews on Yelp and from a friend. But I don't think I'll be going back. Maybe my skin is just sensitive, but I've never broken out as bad before and I've been getting my lip threaded for over ten years. read more

Go Threading was recommended to me by a fellow classmate. The place were I normally go is permanently closed and I was desperately looking for some one new, but just not anyone. I have very botched up eyebrows due to years of arching with a razor and a previous waxing burn. Needless to say, I'm very particular when it comes to my eyebrows. Today was my first visit at Go Threading and my eyebrows have never looked this good. I'm definitely a permanent customer. She was fast and in my opinion, it didn't hurt. Just for reference, the building is on the second floor in a strip mall in Hammond Aire Mall. If facing the building, entrance door is on the left and once you walk, she's the first door on the left. read more

Love Maria! Shes quick and reasonable price and always does an amazing job!! She also has a location in the mall that is very convenient

Fast, incredible, nice and amazing work!! Just found my go-to threading spot. Will definitely be back

I started going to Maria since last year but recently I've came across her Facebook page and she has posted an updated price list and everything was about $1-10 more. But I always gotten my brows and upper lip threaded and I usually prefer Maria. Her assistant isn't as bad, but having the real pro is better. Maria is usually quick and my brows still come out perfectly shaped and every strand of hair is pretty much gone. Although, if you're planning to pay with any type of card, they will charge you an extra dollar! But they remind you before they ring you up. Sweet lady and really good service! I don't mind paying a couple dollars more. read more

I love the way Maria does my brows. She very fast, and makes the threading almost painless. She offers a large variety of other services as well, waxing, lashes , eyebrow tinting, bikini waxes, etc. I have not tried anything else only the brows. read more

My third (and last) experience is what leads me to warn anyone who decides to come here..BE EXPLICIT with telling the threader what you want, or just avoid them all together. I recently moved to the area and was desperate for an eyebrow artist- NO WAXING (I was going to the same person for 5 years back home, so I'm very particular with my brows). To be fair, I was pleased the first 2 times. First time, she kept them thick and clean. 2nd time, as I began to tell her what I wanted (because I assumed she wouldn't remember me), she politely cut me off in a friendly manner, told me she remembered me and hooked up my brows once again...I'll admit, I did find it slightly unprofessional for her to be facetiming while she did my brows- like, I want all your focus on me so you don't mess up! 3rd, I made the mistake of not telling her what I wanted, because this time I assumed she would remember me like last time (2 weeks in between each visit), but obviously she didn't since she basically took all my eyebrows off! They're significantly thinner than before, and when I told her I was disappointed (delivered in a calm, cool and collected manner- and I still paid, which in hindsight, I shouldn't have) she told me she had to fix where whoever did them last made errors...SHE DID THEM LAST! I think in the midst of her rushing the threading, she took too much off and had to take more off to create a shape...NEVER AGAIN. read more

So... I have tried going to Go Threading for the last three times and I have to say, I have become dissatisfied with "Maria's" threading job. I started coming here because where I was going their hours were unpredictable and customer service was in the toilet. The last two times I have gone to Go Threading, Maria has done a very shitty job, especially when she does my upper lip. There is always hair left over on the sides, I had to go back and ask her to redo it since I PAID for it I expect a great job. I am disappointed. Honestly, I rather go back to the shitty customer service THAT DOES A GOOD JOB than to pay for half ass job. read more

Maria is awesome I have been threading this for years but finally getting done for my wedding and she was quick and easy. I love my results!

I would not recommend getting the henna tattoo from there. I believe she went to fast and should have takena little more time because Mine as already faded off and its been two days. When I first got it, it was very pretty but it should not have worn off this quickly. All of it is gone off my fingers and a little left on my hand. It was not worth $15 read more

Im very very disappointed!!! I didn't know where to go so I decided to give this place a try after reading all the good reviews but it was horrible!!!
