I had a birthday party scheduled and was never notified that they had been shutdown by the Fire marshal! NOT ONLY ONCE, BUT TWICE! After my daughter was insistent for us to reschedule for the following weekend. I did get my deposit back, but the owner is not a very nice person. There was a small sign on the door saying they were closed, but the reopen date had already passed. There was nothing stating they were closed on their website or on the phone message. Nearly had a violent altercation with a not so wholesome patron for yelling to alert his out-of control boy who nearly stream-rolled my daughter in the ball pit. To clarify, he was angry because he construed it as I yelling at his boy rather than as an alert to protect my daughter. Either way, doesn't matter She was barely making her way down the stairs and is a 25 lb child w developmental issues. She had not cleared the base of the stairs while that boy, not being properly supervised, nearly kneed her in the face in a dead sprint (suspect the father was drunk as well which would explain his belligerent attitude). He should have been the one to yell to alert his boy from potentially kneeing my fragile daughter in the head. Did I get an apology from this scumbag. No. Instead he defers the blame to my 3 year for not clearing the way quickly enough to excuse his own carelessness. We explained the situation to the owner who refused to refund us bear in mind we had been there for less than 15 minutes. We also asked if he would remove the threatening patron but did nothing. He suggested we call the police but refused the refund. We ended up calling SAPD (Kudos to them. Very polite and professional in contrast to this business owner) who made sure we got out safely because that character was pacing about with a very menacing demeanor even to my wife. Friends, if you are ever in San Antonio and are looking for a fun place to take your kids, do not by any means take them Amazing Jump. Go to Urban Air. It is a MUCH better environment. The owner feigned ignorance but he knows EXACTLY what he is doing. He should have either refunded or removed the aggressive patron but all he cares about is profit at the expense of ethics. Even his staff was dumbfounded. In addition, they were playing extremely loud and raunchy music with a ton of preteens, toddlers and babies. If you don't believe me, look up the lyrics to Salt Shaker uncensored. You have got to be a special kind of stupid to think this is acceptable. The owner tried to dance around saying it was teen night as if it made it acceptable. There were a ton of children there. I don't usually go to efforts to expose a business like this but what this man is doing is reprehensible. If he valued his business and customer, he would do the following: 1. Invest in better security 2. Don't allow your DJ to play vulgar/sexually explicit music in an environment where children may be present (DUH!). It doesn't matter if it was "Teen Night". (which I might add there was no sort of disclaimer to this before we had purchased) 3. Respect your staff! A few were very courteous and understanding or our ordeal unlike yourself. I have heard one was even reprimanded for concurring with your suggestion to call the police. What hypocrisy! Just because you lack proper business ethics does not mean your staff whose moral compass is intact should be punished for your lack. I am afraid that if this business is allowed to continue in its present state some else is going to get hurt or worse by the thugs he allows to essentially run the place. I suggest the owner grow a backbone and properly manage his establishment. The concept of Amazing Jump has the potential for greatness. I more than got my inner child some much needed air time for my cousin's 5th birthday party. On a weeknight, we practically had the place to ourselves. Picturing this place on a weekend literally sends panic chills all over my body though. Located indoors-a plus. Shares an entrance with a flea market with no apparent security to keep kids/parents together. Seems like kids can just walk in and out as they please. Scare #1. I can picture the parents now. You know the ones. They are so sick of being a parent they let their kid run loose, no manners, crashing other people's birthday parties (this actually happened here). You can't fault the young child but really? Watch your kids. The trampolines were fun but you could tell some springs needed repair. The inflatables for the smaller kids are restricted to 8 and younger so that's nice. There's also an area for 5 & under set up a bit like a day care. I wonder how often everything is cleaned though. Scare #2. When they rallied all the parents to get food and drink orders I was shocked at the selection. Sodas and water. Really San Antonio? We are plagued by diabetes and you don't offer anything healthier besides water? This place is for kids. Maybe some juice? How about some milk? Scare #3. There is also absolutely nothing healthy on the menu. Vending machines full of chips and candy can be found at a few corners. Pizza, stadium cheese nachos, hot dogs which although plenty yummy in their right are horribly over-processed and low quality. How about some apple slices? Fruit cups? How about children with dietary restrictions? Can we bring in our own food for those kids? The atmosphere in this place suggests that answer is NO. Only because the crew we were with are so dear to me did I have fun. The kids had a blast which ultimately is all that matters. What the hell happened to this place??? I took my nieces there a couple years ago, and they had the most amazing time here. Totally a 5-star place! The parking lot was FULL, as was the inside too, obviously. But fast forward to 2013... The first thing I notice is that the parking lot barely has any cars. And they got rid of the outside awning that was great shade for anybody waiting outside or smoking or whatever. Not a big deal, but whatever. I go inside and immediately notice they got rid of their video game area! I brought one of my nephews specifically for that reason, so that was disappointing. Once I get to the cashier, I see right away that this place has gone terribly awry. Far less people, and the atmosphere just seemed like the owner didn't care about it anymore. AND the price has gone up to a ridiculous amount. $13 for ONE HOUR, but $20 for an all-day pass? "What kind of B.S. is this???" There's no way the kids I had would be tired after an hour, but certainly aren't going to go for more than 2 hours. But there's no way I'm paying that much money for a place that doesn't even closely compare to the Witte or Fiesta Texas. I think $7/hour and $20/all-day is a fair enough price for that place. But the part that I found just STUPID was the fact they didn't allow anyone to wear denim. No jeans, no shorts - no denim, period. This, my friends, is the f**king stupidest thing I've ever heard. They told us everything wrong. We get there and have questions and the girl that was supposed to be our "party helper" got a huge attitude with us, rolled her neck and her eyes at us and then started getting loud with us. And there's a party preparation list that they are supposed to do 30 minutes prior to the party, and nothing was done. Our feet were sticking to the floor, the tables are filthy, and there is nothing in the room signifying that there's a party... No balloons, no birthday sign, no nothing. The bathrooms smell like a fish bait shop. Then the party package only covers enough pizza and drinks for the jumpers but they only have soda... No lemonade, no water, no Gatorade... This place needs to instill general housekeeping practices. For example, a structured schedule with vacuuming. I came here for a party at 1:00 pm and the carpet near the restrooms was filthy. My guess was a 3-4 gap since last cleaning was performed. Take some pride with your general cleanliness and it will resonate into more positive reviews with this platform as well as word of mouth for birthday parties. I would give it zero stars if I could. This place is filthy! The worst part was the women's restroom. It had 3 out of 4 toilets clogged and 2 of them had poop smeared all over the seats. The staff to child ratio is unsafe and they allow children to do handstands, cart wheels while others are bouncing which caused my daughter to brake her arm in two places and have emergency surgery because she was double bounced when all of her weight was on her hands. Would not recommend this facility. Go at your own risk. No waiver to be signed nor is the entrance secured! Extremely unsafe with lack of safety protocol per my request. Untrained and unqualified staff members attempting to teach young children gymnastics leading to many injuries during birthday parties. After I paid for the entry for the kids to enter I was angry when I walked through the place and the filth that was everywhere. Except for the trampolines because they shut the lights off over the trampolines so you can't even watch your kids where most of the kids are jumping... Not safe. The men's bathroom is also filled with pee all over the floor and kids are walking in and out with just socks on through the bathroom and then to the trampolines. Dont go! I have two kids with bdays a week apart, so I decided to book a large party here for both. I reserved the date online. No one ever calledto confirm, so I called them. They couldnt find it. We were visiting from Richmond VA and my sister told me about this place. Driving up, I was skeptical just looking at the building. I almost thought bars were in the doors. Well, it was $5 for an hour. I have no clue what time we got there and no one said anything to us so we stayed longer. :/ The place is extremely run down and all the equipment looks dated and is noisy. Some areas are really dark and lonely looking.... I would not recommend this place to anyone with small children. My child is 12 and is pretty self sufficient. This place is very dirty and nasty. I don't know how often the place gets cleaned but it's sure to be an illness waiting to happen. Some kids are dropped off with no supervision. It can be quite dangerous for little kids because the big kids will run right over them. This place has the worst customer service. My daughter and Son in law scheduled a birthday party here @ Amazing Jump on Saturday, the 28th. The first glitch, was the fact that we had no hostess. We tried to make the best of it when we had to share a hostess from another party; which left our party without help. When the time came to eat pizza's, the were just left there by the concessions stand and my niece had to bring them to the party, and we served them. The time for ice cream as well was without assistance and spoons. Everything was done by us and rushed by comments of other staff. Then a staff member told us we needed to leave the birthday while we were singing happy birthday because they had another party. Rude. Our party had to pack up and go to find another area, until the dodgeball part, which was about 40 minutes later. When we shared our dissatisfaction, we were told that the owner wasn't there and it didn't matter if what was offered, according to the contract we signed, was not provided. it was at their discretion, to acknowledge my grandson or not. I don't know what these other reviewers expect. Kids are gonna get dirty and transfer said dirt to what they play on or with. I would have loved this place as a kid. Probably an acre+ of trampolines indoors air conditioned and padded for safety. They have a few inflatables as well which my kids enjoy. Arcade games and pool tables as well. They have a kitchen which serves food but I haven't got anything from it before. Would be nice if they did the Chuck E Cheese door guard thing so I could relax a lot more while they run around burning off their energy. Be nice if they had a bar as well but that's an unrealistic expectation. Overall the place is good fun. The good thing about this place is that it is a great way for the kids to sweat and burn energy and have fun. That being said, I would never recommend this place for a party. We had TWO hostesses (one was being "trained") and I basically had to do everything because they were never around. My guests were thirsty and these two girls acted like they had never hosted a party. I told them when I wanted to do the pizza and cake, then had to keep reminding them and still ended up having to rush to have pizza and cake within 20 minutes because our party room time was almost up! Brought my bro, his fiance, my sis and her two close friends from her dance company and it was a bad experience. The last time I visited this place was for a birthday party and I didnt really like it but my sister was looking for a place to jump. As we entered the place it smelled really bad, it was humid and there were random wet spots on the jumping mats that could be dangerous for kids, I saw more than a dozen buckets catching water leaks from the ceiling. The basketball hoops were bent so bad it was pointless to shoot. The restrooms were also a mess, there are also lots of random wet spots on the carpets and it sucked stepping on wet floor with a sock on. This place was basically over priced at $20 for 2 hours. Then when she brought in the ice cream, I had to help her. The kids were supposed to get a train ride but didn't. Then they were supposed to get a personal dodge ball game and they didn't.
