I loved this place, but some things you should know before you go: 1. Make sure you go to their new location, which is right next to Arco on the corner of 3rd and Greenwood. The new name is Sunflower Spa. The old location is further south, close to Fred Meyer. 2. Bring cash for payment 3. The outside of the building looks run down and iffy, but inside was pleasant and cozy. There is a fair amount of street noise from 3rd street. 4. The entrance to the building was in the back. The "open" sign that faces the street was not turned on 5. The woman who answered the phone and did my massage did not speak English very well, but she was very kind and did a great job on my foot massage. 6. no one asked me if I had any injuries or allergies, so if you do, make sure to tell them! The first time my partner and I went here (last September), it was great and we felt it was a good value and we left refreshed/relaxed. I'm here on a business trip and was sore from the travel, so of course I came straight here. This was definitely not the same experience. It was way too rough and she insisted that I stay clothed. I'm glad I changed into yoga pants and a cami before going, otherwise it would have been very uncomfortable in my work attire. I've been getting massages every week for the last two years, and have been to some of the best therapists in LA, so I am not being overly gracious when I say Wu did an incredible job! I had the 60-min combo. I took my husband here for his birthday (we did the 70-min combo) and while it was not as legendary it was still a very good massage. In from out of town, I walked from my hotel to find this hidden gem. My masseuse (man) obviously took a lot of pride in his work- he was like an artist working on my body, or a famous chef. I was really impressed. It was in his detailed body work - wrapping tiny edges of the towel, organized strokes, adjusting my necklace, that really made me feel relaxed and calm. I nearly fell asleep even while being massaged extremely vigorously. He was a master. The spa itself is clean and orderly, the music was quite beautiful, and the bathroom was also spotless. We were able to get in for 3 people the same day. When we got there, we were very happy to find that the place was incredibly clean and there was plenty of space and division between beds. After driving by numerous times, I just finished my first massage at Amazing Foot Spa. Already planning a return trip! Treated myself to the Special Large Combo and it was pure heaven. Easily got my full 70 minutes, and likely more. This spa is clean, quiet, comfortable, and very relaxing. Very low lighting and soothing music really set the mood for relaxation. As others have said, the little touches are quite impressive. I prefer little to no talking during a massage and that's exactly how this operates. The masseuse gently positioned me as needed, no talking necessary. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, you want to be able to move freely without restriction. I was in a semi-private room and fully clothed for the first part of the massage- head, neck, arms, hands, feet. Then I was moved to a totally private room for my back massage where I was covered with a towel after removing my tops and laying face down. Some places leave you covered with oil after your session, but not here. Warm, damp towels are applied and you're gently scrubbed until any excess oil is gone. My skin was left feeling perfect! And, bonus, I didn't feel the need to shower immediately after. I've had MANY massages over the years and today's visit easily ranks in my top 10 ever. We spent the last three days moving our house and our bodies were tired so we booked the super combo 90 minute massage. It was fabulous and we felt like all our stress and fatigue was gone. But I will say it is not a spa. So if you want a spa experience with cucumber water, robes and high prices this is not for you. If you want a quality massage then this IS for you. What to expect: language is a barrier but they are very nice. We started in the screened off area with our feet in hot water. While we were laying down, they massaged our head shoulders, arms and hands for roughly 15-20 minutes. Then they did a full 30 minute foot massage. I really love this place! When I am on my feet all day, they offer a one hour massage for $35. In this massage you soak your feet for about 15 min while they rub your shoulders, head, arms, and neck. Then they rub your feet and calves for 40 min, and then flip you over and rub your back for 10 mim. Your clothes stay on for this one, so dress comfy. They have other massages that provide a deeper massage to the back and body. One of their combos will suit your needs. Nice people.
