I went for a eye lash lift because my regular girl was on vacation. Amar came highly recommended by a friend and my sister for threading services not lash lift. A few things i was unsatisfied with were how harsh she was. She wiped off the lash chemical with a dry cotton back i my eye lids which burned like heck. My regular person wipes me with a wet cotton ball ir qtip. Then she brushed my lashes to the point that the brush was also brushing my eye kids which hurt like heck. Finally upon leaving she then wiped me again with some type of oil and didn't tell me. The oil was ALL ofer my eyes and for some reason my already pre washed hair. When i left i couldn't see because the oil made my vision blurry and when i got home my hair looked like q cow licked it. My lashes are all bent and when i brush them they dont stay up. They all overlap for some reason. When my regular girl does them they stay nice and lifted not bent over to the side. She really needs to work on eye lash lifting and much as she does threading. When i told my friend and sister they were in shock because they've alway has a pleasant experience but as for me IM never going back! read more

Today was my 2nd time coming here. The first time I came in they did an amazing job. Today was a nightmare. I asked the lady to do a very simple clean up because I am growing out my eyebrows. She acknowledged and even said simple clean up. She completely butchered my eyebrows. They're so thin there's barely anything left. I left without paying and cried in my car. Never going back. I go to this place on weekday evenings. Although I like their service, no matter whether I have an appointment, there is always a wait time. Not sure how they are organized. That is a significant drawback as they don't respect people who make appointments and make them wait. The three stars are for their lack of time management. I had my eyebrows done by I think her name is Jabina at Westlake location. She made my eyebrow too thin. I tell her its too thin but she said its fine and will grow back. I'm really upset. I've been coming to Amar for my eyebrows since 2015 & followed her all the way until she opened her own business. She now has 2 locations! I think that speaks for itself! Amar is consistent with my brows. She keeps them shaped perfectly to match my face. Never thin or uneven. The shop itself is beautiful, well lit and always clean. Amar's threading technique is amazing. Highly recommend going to her. However I've been going the last few times and another kind woman has been doing my eyebrows. Unfortunately I don't think she knows how to keep eyebrows similar. This recent time I booked an appt for Amar however I felt uncomfortable that Amar said the other lady could help me because she was helping someone else. I gave simple instructions again that my eyebrows looked too thin and not even in size....Now I have one eyebrow that looks full and slightly longer than the other. I'm giving this place a 1 star because after you take the time to walk around looking like Chubaca for months, because you've been botched then finally brave enough to trust someone new, the least they could do is LISTEN!!!!! I find tht to be a commodity nowadays with these threaders... they pretend to hear you, then go into the robotics of pulling hairs from your face like ur a cut n paste. We think they're skilled but in all actuality they're NOT!!! I have yet to have ANY THREADER actually create a uniformed defined arch on my face using my eyebrows.. and I'm over it!! I specifically asked for a CLEAN UP.. only the bottom lightly & top NO middle.. She took off the front hairs of my brows which are along the middle line!!! WTF!! I got up & THOUGHT they were fine but when I got home &was playing with them I was able to see better the real & I'm so disappointed. I highly suggest we go back to wax lol or maybe learn to do this ourselves.. but if you must PLEASE WATCH THEIR EVERY MOVE AND BE VERY BLUNT ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT!! Because maybe it would not have been so bad had those hairs still been there LIKE I ASKED.. but I'll never know.. AND I'M NOT RETURNING TO FIND OUT! Smh ‍ read more

I got a full face threading. My face has never been so irritated before. It is now 10 hours post-threading. I have bumps all over my face. It's so itchy. Let's say it's because it's been a while since it was threaded. There's still a lot of hair everywhere, but it's like one here, one there, etc. I asked for straight brows, well I said less arched because I blanked out on the verbiage, my fault. But it doesn't look the least bit less arched than what I went in with (which is my brows fully grown out). Furthermore, one brow is higher than the other and more arched than the other. There's nothing I can do about this but wait for my brows to grow out. She also asked me if I wanted to get my neck done, which I didn't ask for, but I did anyways. I regret it because she just did the outer parts of my neck... and they are also irritated. Estimated time for just full face was 25 minutes but we were out of there in less than 20. Also, I don't know how but my hair was ALL OVER my coffee cup that was on the counter. How did all that hair even get all the way over there. I really hate writing bad review but my face itches like crazy! Edit: I didn't want to do a whole update for it. Two weeks later, the bumps finally went away and healed. read more

I drove by, saw the website, logged in, made an appointment for the very next day. I've had my eyebrows threaded at plenty of different places in the city, but Amar and Nabina are the ONLY ones I trust with my brows. I have very sensitive skin, and when I used to get threaded elsewhere, I'd be left with bumps all around my eyebrows and cuts on my eyelids. I haven't had that issue since I started coming here! They take both walk-ins and appointments, but I highly suggest making an appointment - they can get busy! They're very quick, clean, and efficient, and I appreciate that they still wear face masks. Before they start, they ask you what you'd like, sanitize (both your hands and theirs), and I'm finished in about 5-8 minutes.
