Horrible Experience and Poor Service I had an awful experience getting my eyebrows arched. Michelle made them very thin. I have eyebrow tattooing, which clearly shows the shape and thickness I prefer, and since it's tattooed, it shouldn't be hard to follow. She arched them so thin that the tattoo shows through. My tattoo looks natural; I just wanted my eyebrows to look a bit fuller when arched. I came in for a cleanup, not a full reshape. Instead, she completely reshaped them, making them extremely thin, and then charged me $20. When I requested at least a partial refund, she acted like she didn't understand and couldn't see the problem. I would not recommend this business. It was a horrible experience, with overcharging and a rude, money-hungry attitude. The environment felt unprofessional, and parking is an issue. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

I became extremely addicted to eyelashes. Lawd, please don't let this addiction get the best of me! It's an expensive addiction if I must say the least. I had a terrible experience with getting my eyelashes done last week. The shop had the audacity to charge me $40 for eyelashes, and they came off the next day! Let alone, they came off while I was driving with my window down! Yes, you heard me right...the wind hit my lashes and they ran with the wind, LOL! pretty funny now that I'm thinkin' about it (such a waste of money!). You know I was pissed, right? So back to the drawing board it was... I was walking down San Bruno after having lunch and walked in every nail salon asking if they do eyelashes. All I received was a big fat "NO". Well, okay! Finally, I saw a sign outside that said Michelle's Nail Plus and then it listed eyelashes, boy was I happy! I walked in and quickly noticed how small and cozy the space was. Michelle was currently doing eyebrows and all the customers raved at how good she was! I felt much more comfortable after I received the feedback. Once it was my turn, I explained to Michelle I wanted eyelashes that stayed on for weeks...I mean WEEKS! I know it can be down because I went to Cancun and was in and out of the water and my eyelashes NEVER came off (well, after the 2nd swim it was pretty much a done deal, but they lasted a while). Michelle explained to me that there was a "soft" and "hard" glue. Many people don't like the hard glue because of the comfort. Personally, I didn't mind the feeling of the hard glue, but I appreciated how detailed she was in explaining this to me. Before Michelle does any type of service she will ask you to pay first. She definitely doesn't play about her $$! HAHA! **CASH ONLY or she accepts PayPal and Venmo. I sat in a seat and she had me hold a small fan while I kept my eyes open and tried not to blink. I think this process is SO much easier. The last place I went they taped my eyes and all type of bullsh!t (forget that!). You can absolutely tell that Michelle has been doing this type of work for a long time. My eyelashes came out AMAZING! I literally walked out and was complimented right away! I am happy to announce that Michelle is the BEST at eyelashes and I will definitely not hesitate to come back here again! For all the other people complaining, that's fine! That just means that when I walk in for service, Michelle will be able to take me right away! The BEST part about it...? It doesn't cost a crazy $45. Less than $30 and you're out the door! Pros: Fast, cheap, lashes never fall off for about a week and a half, Great party lashes Cons: Does not use individual lashes, (tri lash from the drug store), glue is thick, process of the eye lash extensions is brutal, parking is scarce in a not so safe neighborhood, eye lashes tend to crimp at the ends because they are so thin. Process: She sits you down and you have to keep your eyes open, trying not to blink while she glues on each lash. While that's going on you have to hold a small fan on your eyes which is so bizarre! My eyes were getting irritated from the effervescent from of the glue and my eye was drying out from the fan. Would I go back: I will probably go back if I had a long weekend of partying to go to. They're not as natural as I want them to be for everyday use due to the eye lash placement. These are definitely not "fill" lashes You have to buy the glue remover $5 then start over with a full set. Its still cheaper than a regular fill at normal lash bars. read more

I've been a customer for over 5 years. I was so thrown back and saddened by how she treated me when I called her today to let her know the lashes installed on Thursday came off early Friday evening. She let me know that it never happened before and that it had to be my fault. She didn't offer any solution until I asked her twice as to what we were going g to do about this situation. Letting her know I've never complained and I am not a cheapskate. I followed her instructions of showering with back turned and I didn't even get to do my face routine before they were falling on my face. I took them off in one swipe as you can tell in the photos. Only strips should do that no matter what kind of glue you use. So it's quick money over a loyal customer with her I see. I stuck by her when multiple people left her services due to lack professionalism and uncomfortable attitude. I am done. I will take my money elsewhere. Came to get a gel mani removed and replaced while I got my car smogged across the street. Stood in the place for about 10 mins waiting for someone that works there to come out. I finally asked the customer who was drying her nails if anyone was working. The lady finally came out from back when she heard me speaking and asked me what I wanted. My co-worker told me about this shop. I got my lip and nose piercings done here awhile ago, and they all turned out great! Michelle is super professional at what she does, and her prices are reasonable compared to some other shops I've been to before. I recommended a couple of my friends to get their piercings done. They got the dermal anchor piercing, and they were also happy with her service. I get my lashes done here sometimes when I have a party to go to. Her shop is nice and clean. Do not let her tattoo your eyebrows. She doesn't know what she's doing. She scratches your skin with a sharp instrument and then rubs ink into her scratch marks. I always see all the nail/waxing places along san bruno near my house so I said ok this time I'm gonna try one. Well I got caught up at work as usual and, as usual, left late. By the time I got over there, it was 7ish and every place was closing. I noticed this one still had its sign on the sidewalk. I looked at my phone... 7:09...and the hrs sign on the door...closes at 7. uh-oh... the door was open and I took the chance to ask if she was still open and yay she said she could do my eyebrows even though it was afterhrs. I had a very short wait while she finished with a woman who was there, then got my eyebrows done. This was a Tuesday btw. The weird thing is, she doesn't lie you on a table like most places. You sit in a regular chair and lean your head back against the wall. But she did a quick job, and I think it looks good. No one has complained so far. Yesterday I got my eyebrows waxed and a manicure. There's just no other nail shop in the City that I would trust to do the job that Michelle does. My eyebrows were way past their time (about 2 months) and my nails were also shot. But, when I walked out of Nail Plus, my nails were beautiful again (as usual) and my eyebrows perfect. I've never gone anywhere else to get my eyebrows done, and never will. I particularly wanted to write a review regarding Michelle's work. She is a friend and she has been doing my nails and eyebrows for over 20 years, so I may be a little biased. But, I believe she takes pride in her work and she cares how u feel about the finished product. She makes it look so very easy and yet you know in this profession, it takes skill and perfection--two qualities she definitely has. And I just can't see going anywhere else for these services. Also, if she were not one of the very best---whom is also in demand---she would not have lasted over 20 years in this City with so many customers.
