Each visit is a discovery of new deliciousness and temptations for the tastebuds. Last time I went with a decaf affogato with vanilla softserve, the classic. SO GOOD! 5*/5. I've been dreaming about getting it again so finally went today. and was immediately distracted by their extensive hot chocolate and drinking chocolate menu which now I need to go back and try. While I thought I'd go for the classic decaf affogato, I was enticed by the espresso X version which includes a warm chocolate chip brownie, hot fudge, rice krispie sprinkles, and the decaf espresso (at my request), vanilla and chocolate twist (other options just vanilla or just chocolate) - for the same price as the classic. How could I resist? Amazing - 5*/5 I have yet to try something at Lu & Aug's that isn't outstanding.

They have good amount of pints 'to go' a TON of toppings and VEGAN OPTIONS!!! Open space, tables to sit down and eat. Clean large bathroom too. Now the dessert creations were impeccable. Fresh waffle cones and fresh toppings. I kept it simple with a pecan crumble on vegan vanilla. Wifey got a strawberry 'something' with pieces of cheesecake. When I tell you they are precise with the placement of the toppings to ensure you have even bites--- I mean it.

A Taste of Abruzzo in Bryn Mawr ?…read more Exit 13 isn't just a restaurant -- it's a warm, home-style escape straight into the heart of Abruzzo. The moment you walk in, the vibe hits you first: vibrant colors, rustic touches, and an ambiance that feels like stepping into someone's family dining room back in Italy. It's authentic, comforting, and alive with culture. The food? Unreal. Their **homemade bread** sets the tone -- rustic, fresh, and full of that old-world character. The **pizza** is on another level with dough that's so good it almost steals the show. Every pasta dish carries that handcrafted feel, the kind that tells you the recipe didn't come from a cookbook -- it came from memory. Appetizers are just as impressive, but the **grilled octopus** stands out as a true star. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and proof that Exit 13 puts heart into every dish. This is the kind of spot where the atmosphere and the food work together -- where the vibe feels like home and the flavors taste like heritage. Exit 13 doesn't just serve Italian cuisine. It brings Abruzzo to life. **A must-visit for anyone who loves real, soulful, authentic food.**

The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.

Very busy house on a Saturday night and oddly but graciously quieter than many steakhouse environs. Service is good, as should be expected with this type of "pricier" option. If nitpicking, a side dish of Brussels sprouts delivered later than all entrees. Plates for "finished" diners cleared before all diners were through, which is understandable but not practiced in some higher end places. Steaks are truly cooked to requested temperatures, medium, medium rare, perfect and not as common as portrayed. The octopus appetizer is really well done. The halibut special was presented nicely and was delicate and flavorful all at once. Our server apparently makes the cappuccino herself and was quite proud of her skill and was really a nice touch.

Social Hour was nearing the end, so our server, Rebecca made sure we ordered what we wanted in enough time. We ordered drinks and several appetizers. Everything was so delicious. The Lobster Guacamole, Filet Kona Tips, White Truffle Parmesan Fries, Custom Blend Meatballs, and the Crispy Buffalo Shrimp. DePaul's feels cozy and warm as soon as you walk in. The service is great. I love that they have a coat room, especially in the winter. There's a huge bar with plenty of seating around it. Several booths in the bar area and many tables in the dining areas. They also have an upstairs dining area.

The restaurant has a modern yet comfortable atmosphere, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special dinners. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made ordering easy and enjoyable. For our meal, we ordered the shrimp platter and the white fish with bok choy, and both dishes were excellent. The shrimp platter was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The shrimp were cooked perfectly--tender, juicy, and well-seasoned without overpowering the natural taste. Each bite felt fresh and balanced, and the portion size was just right. The white fish with bok choy was a standout dish. The fish was delicate, flaky, and cooked to perfection, while the bok choy added a nice crunch and freshness to the plate. The sauce was light yet flavorful, allowing the ingredients to shine without being too heavy or oily. It felt like a well-thought-out dish that reflects Dan Dan's focus on quality and authenticity. Overall, our dining experience at Dan Dan was memorable. The food quality, thoughtful preparation, and friendly service really set this restaurant apart. If you're in the Ardmore area and looking for delicious Asian-inspired cuisine made with care, Dan Dan is definitely worth a visit. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes from the menu.

Two of us shared the hand ripped noodles and an order of wonton in soup. Both dishes were fine but not that impressive. Overall, wouldn't really come back, but also wouldn't turn it down if someone else was enthusiastic.

My parents come here periodically, and I'd been trying to join them on one of my visits back home,…read morebut on a couple occasions we couldn't get reservations, and then the third time, we got one but it turned out they were going to be closed that week for a post New Year's vacation. Fast forward to this latest visit home. I finally secured a reservation...but then late yesterday afternoon my mom's knee started acting up to the point where she could barely stand on it. Fortunately, ice, Advil and rest overnight--and my mom really, really wanting to come here--kept us on track, and tonight I finally made it. It's a cozy spot, and I can see it making an excellent date night, especially since the BYOB setup allows you to bring the wine of your choice (and save some $$). We were seated promptly--this Sunday was relatively mellow--and the servers were super accommodating about removing a chair so that my mom's walker could occupy the unused space on our four-top. The menu is what I call right-sized. It may seem smallish, but there is a strategic assortment of salads and apps, pastas and mains (and, of course, desserts) that is sure to accommodate everyone. Dean, the young man who would go on to do an outstanding job taking care of us for the night (with the other two servers chipping in seamlessly as needed), went through the specials. My mom was particularly intrigued by a squid-ink fettucine with lobster and shrimp (and cherry tomatoes) in a saffron cream sauce. Could we split it as an app, we asked? Would it be too much food? On Dean's advice, we went ahead, while my dad got the mussels. All three of us ordered the pork chop, which my parents have been raving about for a couple years now. How could I not try it? Ordering finished, bread and olive oil (with a bit of balsamic) arrived at the table. Knowing I had a pasta coming and that the pork chop was a good-sized portion, I didn't want to overdo it, which I think was ultimately a good choice. The bread took the edge off, and then the pasta arrived. It was just the right amount for two people to share as an app, and we both enjoyed it, while my dad loved his mussels (and then dunked lots of his bread in it). Then came the main event. The pork chop lived up to (and frankly, exceeded) the hype. It was tender and perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, and this isn't my first pork-chop rodeo. It was accompanied by asparagus and yummy baby Yukon Gold potatoes; I left a view of the latter, not because they weren't yummy but rather because the pork chop was huge and I was not skipping dessert. For dessert, I went with the house-made cannoli, which was a lovely, sweet (but not oversweet) ending to an excellent meal. I'd be happy to come back to Burrata anytime.

The waiters were very attentive. The menu was limited but has something for everyone. I went with the Chicken Parmiginia. The sauce was flavorful and delicious. The chicken was so tender and the portion size was just right. Not overwhelming at all. My wife had the squid ink pasta in a white wine and garlic sauce with crab meat. She didn't leave a morsel. We were amazed at how good our food was and why we hadn't dine here before. We split a mixed greens salad which was also delicious with apples. Topped it off with Strawberry Gelato and Limoncello cake. We had a great date night and can't wait to go back. Very reasonably priced and also a BYOB. So grab your friends or family, some adult beverages and have a wonderful dining experience. Burrata we will be back and sooner then later.
