Amanda's spa is gorgeous! The set up is very comfortable and cozy. Amanda is very knowledgeable about skin. During the appointment she tells you what she is seeing with your skin and walks you through what she thinks your skin goals should be long term. She makes you feel very comfortable and the whole experience is very enjoyable. I was so relaxed that I felt incredibly sleepy driving home! I think people make the mistake of thinking that your skin has to go through a huge process to get results and it needs to be overnight. That is not true. You have to consistently upkeep your skin with appointments and take care of it at home and over time your skin gets better and healthier. Do not make the mistake of thinking your skin is going to be better overnight after one appointment because that's not how it works. You will see a difference with each appointment but you have to be committed. I came back from Hawaii and had a lot of sun damage and Amanda's treatments has helped tremendously. Lymphatic Drainage Kansa Wand Facial is what I got and what Amanda is famous for. She made some customizations to me specifically because she thought an acid peel would be too much after being in the sun so much in Hawaii. So she definitely has your best interest and knows what will and wont work for your skin in the state it is in. If a professional is telling you that you do not need a specific treatment or that it wont benefit your skin, that is a good thing and a sign of good and ethical practice because some estheticians will do whatever treatment to whomever for a buck. This is a response to the horrible response that Amanda provided regarding my original service. "Kay, if you'd please refer back to our text conversation when you set up your appointment, I specifically recommended against performing your requested service this close to your big day. I told you to come 3 weeks earlier when you first texted me, but you booked the week before your wedding anyways. When you arrived and insisted upon certain procedures, I strongly recommended against them. You demanded that your dollar dictate the service, and insisted you'd be fine. " - This is what Amanda wrote. . . I am currently searching for the texts and messages from our conversation because Amanda NEVER said that I shouldnt get the treatment prior to the wedding. She NEVER strongly suggested against doing the facial/extractions/demaplaning. I reached out about 2.5 weeks before because I wanted guidance and suggestions on whether the facial, dermaplaning and extractions would be beneficial to my skin. I would never jeopardize my skin before a wedding if Amanda HONESTLY communicated the true results... BUT SHE DID NOT. She said that the procedure would be fine and that is why I booked the facial and back procedure for the Saturday before my wedding. When I arrived to the studio, Amanda told me not to do the back procedure and I listened. If she had then told me to save my $100+ on the facial because of the potential bruising and negative skin reactions, I wouldve listened. BUT SHE NEVER TOLD ME THE TRUTH, she just kept saying "I'll make your skin look great". Why would I reach out and ask about procedures a couple weeks before my wedding and then book procedures against the advice of the aesthetician? Wouldn't that be against my own interest? It would be fine if Amanda just acknowledged that she should've just declined the service request knowing that extractions could cause issues with my skin ONE week before my wedding but now she's just lying to save face. After I got the facial my work manager and my wedding MUA both told me that Amanda should have known better and should have declined the procedure request but obviously she didn't because she wanted to make money. What a shame. Also, the $40 Vegan lotion was crap and caused my face to break out. When I find these messages, I will post them to Yelp because there is absolutely no reason why I would book these procedures and waste my money if Amanda strongly suggested against getting them prior to my wedding. read more

I was so happy to have found Amanda and the services offered. I so looked forward to my facial - despite the very limited appointments available, waiting for almost a month to get in, AND having to schedule PTO from work to go to a 3:00pm appointment. Tragically, the day before (not even same day) I became terribly sick with an upper respiratory infection and couldn't go to work. I let Amanda know that i was ill, but that I was willing to come in - so as not to forfeit the appointment or my money, but left it up to her. She replied with a very formal email to state that she'd prefer not to see me and canceled the appointment. I expressed my understanding and agreement and asked for a refund of my required upfront deposit. I was challenged- but reminded her that she opted to cancel (post pandemic after all). The next ridiculously worked email refunded my money but said that I wasn't a suitable client and I wasn't welcome to reschedule. To add insult to injury, they send me emails about nearly immediately available appointments! If I had been able to get in right away I wouldn't have been sick and been asked not to come or be expected to pay for the privilege of just scheduling. read more

I have seen Amanda for both waxing and facial services, and she's incredible! She is a speed demon with the waxing - half leg, underarm, and extended Brazilian completed in about 20 minutes. For facials, she has done an amazing job on my face in general, and getting rid of these red bumps that appeared on my chest specifically. I highly recommend getting a customized as she really knows what she's doing. It's also SUPER easy to schedule on her online system. It shows all of the available dates and times, and then you are able to request what you would prefer. Amanda usually gets back to you within a couple hours max to confirm the appointment. Amanda was recommended to me by my hair stylist (Robert Padilla of The Birdcage Salon, who I also highly recommend). I didn't really know what to expect but it was an amazing experience!
