It seems completely unreasonable that, after explaining this, they would refuse to offer any flexibility or assist in a timely manner. What really upset me was the lack of empathy or understanding. It felt like the company's policy mattered more than the actual well-being of their patients. I've been a loyal customer for a while, and a little flexibility in this situation would have gone a long way in maintaining my trust and continued business. In an age where patient care should be the priority, this experience was both frustrating and disappointing. I understand the importance of following procedures, but when it comes to patient health, especially in transitionary periods like this, a bit of compassion and common sense should be part of the equation. I really hope they rethink this policy moving forward, because their current approach certainly leaves much to be desired.

When she doesn't take it, she feels sick. For the last three months in a row, Lubbock Primary Care has played cat and mouse with her prescription -- saying they'll fill it -- that they are sending it to the pharmacy -- and then not filling it on time -- leaving her without the prescription for several days. I don't like to see her suffer. But it does not seem to bother Lubbock Primary Care. It's like they don't know how these medicines react with the human body. Determined to make sure this did not happen again, I twice spoke to the receptionists at the desk at the office at 11007 Quaker Ave in Lubbock -- once in December and once in January. I also talked to a manager, and they all assured me that the prescription would arrive at the pharmacy at the time of renewal the following month. Just to make sure, my wife and I called five days ahead of time -- and the office staff assured us that the prescription would be filled. It wasn't. Today, I went to the office, and I'm embarrassed to say, I got good and angry in the lobby. A man came out and told me to calm down and be quiet. I told him being calm and quiet did not do me any good the last two times I was there and I thought anger might help this time around. I then sat and waited. Two staff members later ushered me into an office. They had a solution for me. But I first wanted to tell them why I was so upset. Why does any one get angry? Because they don't get what they want or expect. I expected that my wife would get her prescription without any hassles. That's why I visited the office twice before. I thought the whole matter had been settled. The two two ladies did not understand -- at all. In fact, they told me that Lubbock Primary Care had never promised to renew my wife's Lorazepam prescription. What? What? That's what I had been trying to communicate for months. Hadn't anyone in that office been listening? Why had no one told us that they weren't renewing Lorazepam? I mean, they renewed it twice before. And five days earlier, the folks at the desk said they were sending the prescription to the pharmacy. At the last appointment, Dr. Mikah Lust tried to persuade my wife to change prescriptions. But my wife has other medical problems she trying to deal at the moment and felt it wasn't the right time to make agitating changes and Dr. Lust did not press. No changes, therefore, were made to her meds and we were never told that Lubbock Primary Care was not going to renew the prescription. So why can't this clinic get its act together. Please, if you want to be calm and healthy, don't do business with these people.

I also discussed that I sometimes use AI tools to help me organize health-related information and prepare questions for my doctor so I can better advocate for myself. I was told that using AI in this way is "dangerous," without any meaningful explanation or discussion, which felt dismissive rather than informative or professional. Most concerning, the conversation included an unsolicited reference to religion (specifically God) that was not relevant to my medical care. I immediately made it clear that I do not share those beliefs and did not wish to discuss religion in a healthcare context. Instead of acknowledging this boundary, the nurse doubled down, scoffed in response and stated "well, that's your belief". I found this highly inappropriate and disrespectful in a medical setting, particularly during a health-related call where religion had no relevance. Overall, the tone of the interaction felt condescending and dismissive rather than supportive or patient-centered. I left the call feeling talked down to rather than listened to. I want to be clear that this feedback is not about my physician, who I continue to trust and appreciate. Both doctors are extremely caring & passionate! In my experience, Dr. Moore, isn't nearly as compassionate as Dr. Zumaya & Dr. Tran. 10/10 recommend them as your PCP!

At x-ray, I asked why I was receiving a certain test. I'm guessing she was a trainee and had to ask someone else. When another lady came in and I repeated my question, I was told I could decline. I asked again and she said 'So you're declining?' I said I guess so and made my way back to the patient area. I was given a half ass answer that included a derogatory statement about that department. When I made it back to x-ray, the reception area had about 5 workers sitting in that small area. I gave them my name and one said you're back? I explained I was there because of my blood pressure that was continuing to rise and was greeted with laughter by all. I told them it was not funny but laughter continued. After this I waited another hour for an ekg to be done. While waiting for my results I could hear the nurses outside my room laughing and joking about a patient. One said 'she was nice to me.' My blood pressure got the best of me and I poked my head out to let them know I didn't appreciate being made fun of but was quickly informed they weren't talking about me. They were talking about ANOTHER PATIENT! Enough was enough and I left without getting my results. I have contacted my insurance company and will be disputing any charges.

I found out by mistake of a MRI I had in 2001 by Patrick Hanford DO but report not given to me at…read morethat time I worked at the facility.I had a episode of loosing vision to one of my eyes so the office manager took me in and MRI performed but report never given to me so no care or referral done.Just be careful as a patient to make sure all reports are given to you . Make sure to be advised of all medical procedures done so now possibly MS diagnosis but no care done so this could have been avoided. The thing is none of the doctors that worked there gave me a report .So all those years went by with no help actually if I remember correctly I was dismissed because of a complaint made by one of the other doctors so out the door I went .But no one ever gave me a report just always keep on top of your health. Because in my experience if you do not voice your option no one else will do it for you. So as the years went by my problems got worse the last MRI I had and was able to see my brain has moderate atrophy.Which all brains atrophy to a certain extent but mine looks scary already have encephalamacia in certain parts of the brain which it is considered mush .I will never regain that . Already had a stroke which does not help my problems . I guess I am just frustrated at the things that could have been taken care of but they were not you have to understand is you need a order from a dr before MRI could be done.I just feel I got forgotten and never received the proper care I deserved as a person it has affected me . I guess the sad part of it all is unfortunately you have to be more diligent in what you need to keep up with and I did not do that .so just a warning for whoever is a patient at this clinic be careful and request at least yearly to see your medical records because that is your right as a patient .Keep in touch with your medical history .As I stated does not deserve a star but in order for this to be posted.
