Joe called me back after hours in minutes, came out within an hour of our conversation AFTER hours, assessed the situation, gave us a workaround so we could at least have AC in the 95 degree heat and was back out in 36 hours to do the job. I said fine I had already purchased a replacement ceiling fan and I paid him $300 for the additional item that he said was electrician they the brand new ceiling fan out of the box and proceeded to try to install the ceiling fan. I don't know specifically what he did, but I want him remove the ceiling fan brand new out of the box on and meant the ceiling fan as he was installing it and the ceiling fan didn't work. I was watching him the entire process, but he around and says oh the ceiling fan must be defective. It must've been bent The ceiling fan wasn't banned. I watched him take the brand new ceiling fan out of the box and subsequently bent it when he was trying to install it then he says well you have the packing ceiling fan came in. You can return it to the store and get a replacement. The problem is that I now have a broken ceiling fan installed in my ceiling so how am I supposed to remove the broken ceiling fan? I'm not electrician. I subsequently called American home shield and JCJ did not respond. I would anyone to use this company incompetent if not corrupt and the only reason why I even utilize them was because they were the assigned contractor with American home shield

I then found this site: http://www.generatoralliance.org Using the best practices I found on this site I reinterviewed each contractor asking placement of the unit, installation, and most importantly: Who do I call for service or problems and repairs when needed. I was shocked to learn that these electricians could not service my investment. Yearly maintenance is apparently required but none of my bidders do that, they only the install. I cannot lose power EVER. This was a huge concern. I then called All Power Generator. From lovely lady that answered phone to the estimator who came out to my home and finally the service guys, they "passed" all my questions, most important they are on call 24 / 7 if there was a problem. I would highly recommend this firm. If you are concerned about a loss of power, learn from my "almost" mistake and call a REAL GENERATOR COMPANY. Call All Power! Thanks guys!

They were absolutely awesome from the nicest office staff to the knowledgeable technicians. Once during a state of emergency when they couldn't travel on the roads to fix my generator that stopped working, the tech patiently spent more than an hour on the phone with me on a Sunday evening to walk me thru troubleshooting and was able to get us up and running again. And, I wasn't charged for it. Then, a few years ago something went completely awry. It seems like they were sold. Changing the antifreeze was an additional charge outside of the contract and performed every 3 yrs. An estimate was always provided in advance along with a reminder of the service being due. Suddenly, the price doubled- not increased each time we renewed our contract, it just flat out doubled. We called to follow up on the estimate and to schedule the service. No call back. Call again. No call back. Response from office- that's the price. We'll have someone call and follow up. Crickets. Never heard from them again. No contract renewal. Nothing. Thanks to Robert and Ryan! But I do have 2 issues with the sales. 1. They bill me $675 for handling township electric work permitting, and the township price is $250, a 170% markup. The salesman said it is because they have to hire high-priced inspectors. I told him the $250 township fee includes the inspection. He said I was wrong. The inspector came in today and was paid by the Township. I was right. 2. The sales tried to bill me $500 for a loose house electric meter. I told him that multiple workers in the past had checked and found nothing wrong with the meter itself. Just the screws to the wall were loose. We verbally agreed that the installation crew would re-check during work and would adjust the price accordingly. Robert and Ryan did check and found nothing wrong with the meter and re-attached it back to the wall, but still charged me $400 claiming they were not allowed to adjust more than $100. I would be happy to pay premium for honest job, but $875 out of the $2,468 I paid to Ampd is for nothing. I bought the connector separately. Robert and Ryan did a good job, but the sales process as a whole was less than honest.

My wife, who is in her 70s called and told him that we had a bathroom exhaust fan that wasn't working and that we needed two GFCI's in the kitchen replaced. He arrived the next day with an assistant. The assistant went to the second floor to diagnose the fan problem. It turned out that the new timer switch that I had tried to install myself was not connected properly, and he had corrected the problem in minutes before even discussing it with us. While he was doing that, Michael went to the kitchen and promptly replaced the two GFCIs. They were done in less than an hour and Michael told us that they would send the bill and made arrangements for my wife to VENMO the money to him. When Michael subsequently emailed the invoice to us, My wife was shocked at the amount, but she, nonetheless VENMOed money before I had a chance to look at the invoice. The invoice included a $295 "service call"; $795 for the simple connection of the exhaust fan switch that took minutes; $590 for the installation of the two GFCIs; and a charge of $117.60 that was listed as a 7% tax on the $1,680 charges described above. I needed an outlet installed for a new tankless water heater that I was planning to have installed. As I was getting estimates for the new tankless water heater, my old water heater started leaking a lot of water into my laundry/utility room, so I needed to act quickly. When he came out to estimate the outlet installation he asked if I had found a plumber yet for the water heater installation. I told him I had an estimate from a local company but I thought it was kind of high. The two other plumbers who I had estimates from we are no longer able to take the job because of staffing issues due to COVID-19. Dave said he knew a good plumber and called him on the spot. He FaceTimed so that the plumber could see the job. The plumber he recommended was able to give me an estimate within a couple of hours. And came in $700 lower than the previous plumbers estimate. Plus he could do the job the very next day. Hurray! The plumber that Dave recommended came out and did a great job on the tankless water heater installation! They worked in a tight space in an old house and even were able to run my vents up through an attic and crawlspace and out behind a chimney so that they cannot be seen from the front of the house. Then Independent Electric Services came out and did a perfect job on the outlet installation for which I had originally contacted them. If I had not called Independent Electric Services I would've spent more money on my water heater and I would probably still be trying to get the job done. Dave made it happen fast, competently, and at a great price! I cannot recommend this company enough.
