When the technician came, he explained that there was a problem with my compressor, but the good news was that the refrigerator was still under warranty. AG Appliance Repair was kind enough to file a claim with LG, and once LG accepted the claim and mailed the parts, AG Appliance Repair came back promptly to fix it. I'm so glad they responded so quickly and handled everything so efficiently. If I have another issue, I'm definitely calling them again.

The gentle man that I was speaking with on the phone said it sounded like the microwave door latches needed to be replaced. When the technician Joe showed up at my house the next day he stunk like a cigarette. He preceded to take pictures of the serial number on the appliance. In conversation I told him that the same Kitchen Aid microwave that I have is currently 499.00 dollars at Lowes . He then told me with out doing any diagnoses that the repair was going to be 450.00 dollars so I was better off just buying a new microwave. He also said nowadays the microwaves that they manufacture are throwaways and that when they go bad you throw them out and replace them with a new one. Now if that is the case why didn't the gentleman on the phone when I called them explain that to me. It seems to me they just wanted the 121.00 dollar service call fee that I paid them. Ironically I looked up on line the prices of the switches and they were 24.99 each. I also took apart the control panel and cleaned the switches and now the microwave door switches work fine. I also wanted to add that we used Georges appliance repair in the past and we had no issues. So we were not a first time customer. Antoine tried to fix it, but realized that he needed a part that had to be shipped from the manufacturer. A week went by and we heard nothing from him. When I called him, he said that the part was mailed to us but was returned to the manufacturer because our address was incorrect. He said that he was going to have them send the part to him. Our broken dishwasher is sitting in the living room. Then he showed up to our establishment with a "loaner" dishwasher that is smaller than the one that needed fixing. I paid him for the job anyway. I called him the next week and he claimed that his van broke down and he would get to us when he had a working vehicle. Two weeks ago he said that he received the part and would come and fix our dishwasher. It is now February 14th and he is not returning my calls. This is a travesty. I would not recommend using this company ever!!

He had to leave in the middle of the job because he had a court appearance to pay a parking ticket. He came back and tried to finish the job but realised he needed additional supplies, but, by this time (thanks to his disappearance in the middle of the day) the stores had closed. The job dragged over to the next day when he came back with needed supplies and apparently "finished" installing my new compressor. The only problem was, my fridge was NOT cooling! I could see the fans running but it was room temperature air at best. So then he told me that it takes 2 hours for it to start cooling, all while he was packing his tools. He wanted me to pay him for the job and I denied, but after a little haggling I agreed to pay him 50% with the promise that he would return if the fridge didn't get cold. The fridge never cooled and obviously he never picked up my calls after leaving that door. Lesson learned, never pay unless the job is 100% done.
