My wife and I came to Suzanne in the middle of a full-blown crisis almost exactly two years ago. At…read morethe time, it truly felt like the end of our marriage, and we desperately needed help to get through it. We had tried couples counseling in the past, but one or both of us never felt fully comfortable--either with the counselor or the approach. Honestly, we didn't have a clear understanding of what relationship counseling could look like, or how different approaches--crisis counseling, long-term couples work, or individual therapy--might serve us. Working with Suzanne was our introduction to IFS, trauma therapy, and EMDR, and we quickly learned that the way she uses these systems was exactly what we needed. The impact was immediate: tension eased, and we finally had a way to start working through our challenges. For the past two years, we've attended regular sessions and have grown very close with Suzanne. She is not only deeply attentive but also skilled at continually bringing our challenges back to the heart of the work; our protectors, our childhood experiences, our brain types, and our core wounds. She helps us see how our past has shaped our perspectives and how to shift those perspectives toward understanding and connection. I am certain Suzanne has saved our marriage. I cannot recommend her enough to any couple willing to be open, vulnerable, and committed to doing the work together. Her wisdom, insight, and compassionate guidance have been life-changing for us.

She is compassionate, relatable, and understanding yet will effectively confront issues head on and challenge your old ways of thinking. I found Karina after deciding talk therapy wasn't working and wanted to try a more active approach. The first thing I noticed was that she was extremely perceptive and just by talking to me and observing my behaviors pointed out problematic thoughts and actions right off the bat that no one else has ever bothered to notice. These included obsessive behaviors and hoarding tendencies. We worked together to find constructive ways of changing behaviors using CBT. If you want to find real solutions and take action I can't recommend Karina enough. After working with her I realized I had wasted so much money on other therapists who did little more than sit and listen without offering real solutions. I am now in such a better place and I can't thank Karina enough helping me get here.
