Only because I called to confirm the appointment time, did I learn the time had changed. Went for a steroid injection in my lower back...BCBS cost estimator put it at $500 or less, but that only covered "professional services" - shame on Unity for not disclosing the amount of the "hospital services" at the time the appointment was scheduled. $2000 for a steroid injection is beyond insanity for 3 minutes of the doctor's time. I have a family member who works at a different pain management clinic, who informed me they charge $1000 for an injection if you have no insurance. So as we humans do, I assumed it can't be more than that if I have insurance - $2000 with insurance is disgusting. Clearly the medical community is trying to capitalize on the well-off, aging, baby boomer population while they still can. For your sake, I hope your experience is better.

Other patients who were not of color were getting called back left and right before me. I even heard one of the patients say "dang we got out of here before we were even supposed to check in". The only reason I did not complain in person was because I was afraid they would treat my visit carelessly and not give me proper care.

Forty (40) minutes later after stating that I was caller number one for over eighteen (18) minutes, someone finally answered. When I mentioned in a pleasant way how disturbing it is to be on hold for that long, there was no apology, just a quick dismissal and straight to business rudeness. When I reflected back on the delay I was quickly told that they get 350 calls a day. I mentioned that if it takes you twenty minutes per call, I can see the problem. How about putting the customer first and hire additional phone assistance. She quickly discounted my comment and asked if there was something she could do. I then asked for a referral to their competition. I wouldn't go to this organization unless they were the only option. If there care is anything like their customer service, they shouldn't be in this business.

This review is over a year in the making. When I first met Mike I told him I wanted to review him…read moreon Yelp. I mean really, where else would you turn for fair and honest client centered reviews? Like all men though, he had to come to the idea in his own good time... Not on the advice of a woman. So when he finally updated this Yelp profile to reflect his current address and information he asked me if I would leave the review. A little about me and how I got "broken" leading me to Mike... I've been in. EMS for 28 years. That's 28 years of abuse on my body picking up sick people, carrying them out of buildings on non-ergonomically friendly contraptions, riding in ambulances and generally being not so good to myself. On average I would say every EMS worker suffers some form of an injury at least once or twice a year, be it back injury or otherwise. It's just the nature of the job. I was in an ambulance wreck about 10 years ago, where I was thrown from the back of the ambulance to the front, landing on the controls of the siren. Additionally, I had a VERY traumatic epidural placement during my c-section t the age of 41, with multiple punctures to the lumbar region, a gigantic hematoma over the site, and scar tissue formation. I have seen multiple chiropractors, craniotomy-sacral therapists, pain management clinics, and of course, massage therapists. A wise chiropractor knows that their work is complimented with other therapies, and thus, a referral was made to Mike. I began seeing him about 18 months ago, when my neck and back were particularly bad. I had been seeing a massage therapist once a week for almost a year and had come to the end of my progress with her. Mike treats my condition with a combination of manual therapy and traditional massage. He listens to me, incorporating my thoughts on treatment with his expertise. He was open to the idea of trying a CBD topical treatment into my massage when I brought it in and has subsequently incorporated it into his everyday practice. I can't tell you all of the exact techniques he uses, but suffice it to say he has tried a wealth of options on me. His primary focus has been my neck, but he has also worked on problem spots, such as my thumb when I have been a little too vigorous on the texting. There isn't a problem that I have brought to him that he has been unable to help. However, he has been respectful of my boundaries, as I have been unwilling to allow him to work on the incurred scar tissue in my lumbar back from the epidurals. Mike is a therapist that really listens to you and your desired outcome. Yeah, sure, a case could be made for the outcome to always be less pain, but sometimes it is greater flexibility or increased range of motion, both of which I have asked of him and he has been able to deliver. If I could give one piece of information to new clients, he is not a relaxation massage therapist. While he CAN do it, you'd be wasting his talent for problem solving and delivering excellent, focused care. I wish I had found him 10 years ago when I was first in the accident! Feel free to message me for specific questions!

Days later, my knee was still red, swollen, hot and very painful. They refused to see me again or let me see any Orthopedic surgeon before 3 months later. Finally, in desperation, I had my pain specialist order an MRI which also scheduled for 5 weeks out. Turned out, despite having had an X-ray, it turned out, I had a to tibeal plateau fracture, which is serious. It took me 2 1/2 months to see my surgeon. I spent 2 1/2 months walking on a fracture because URMC wouldn't let me see any Orthopedic Doctor at all!

Stay away and go somewhere small, where they don't conveniently forget about you if they don't want…read moreyou as a patient. If I could give zero stars, I would. I tried to schedule an appointment on the 22nd of February and have still never been contacted back by this place. I was told to reach out to them to see if one of their doctors would see me about a knee problem since I had 2 surgeries on it 3 & 4 years ago and my insurance no longer covers seeing those surgeons again. When I called to ask about seeing a doctor about a new patient, I was yelled at by a woman who asked who I wanted to see, that I needed a referral from my PCP, despite being on a no referral insurance plan, and was told I needed to tell them what I wanted, and proceeded to ask if I wanted shots, knee replacements, therapy? When I told her I wanted to see a particular doctor who was recommended who should be the one to decide that, she asked for my information, found that I tried to schedule an appointment with a different doctor in their system who never called me back for an appointment and then gave me an attitude about me "not getting a knee replacement because you're only 30." I was told I needed to send all of my medical records for them, so I did that. They never called me back to tell me if they received anything within a week, so I called back a week later on the 28th of February. They said they haven't received anything but I had confirmed with the other places that they had been faxed to the correct number. Called back on the 4th of March to see if they received anything, and the person I had been talking to previously (the yelling woman) told me they received everything and would talk to the doctor to see if he would see me. Well, that was the 4th of March and this is now April 8th and I still have yet to receive a phone call back about whether or not they'd see me. What a joke. I thought ghosting was a problem with millennials and gen z kids, but in reality, it's actually this place. At least have the decency to call me back and tell me your doctor refuses to see me.
