I'm a 44 year old paramedic that has lifted a few too many hefty patients out of awkward positions through the last 25 years and as a result need a great chiropractor to keep me squared away. When my chiropractor closed her shop I asked where she got adjusted... I mean what's a better recommendation than where your chiropractor goes, right? That's how we ended up with Joe. He's got the moxie to give me a great adjustment and the finesse to work with my two year old as well. Dr Joe also has CACCP after his name, which means he actually has 200+ hours of specialized training for kids. If your child is seeing a Chiropractor without that certification they may not be getting the absolute best care they could. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you should. That's the difference in those letters. Dr. Joe has a special interest working with kids on the sensory processing disorder and autistic spectrums. Dr Joe is your one stop shop for all your family needs. He's got two locations which cover nearly all of Monroe County, and he's worth the drive!

Johns massage was unlike any other I have experienced. He spent a tremendous amount of time with me which was so nice. Other massage therapists stop working on you the exact moment your 60 minutes are up. John does not stop until he has worked all the stress and tightness out of your body. I really appreciate the special "Rolfing" technique, as it helps correct my slumping posture. John is a really nice man with a true holistic approach to all that he does. I don't really want to share this information as I believe he is like a best kept local secret. John puts everything he has into his massages. I have been to see him twice now and he does not disappoint. I look forward to seeing him again soon. When I left last time I wondered who gives John his massages? I don't believe he could possibly find anyone to give him a massage of the same caliber that he gives. I highly recommend John if you are looking for a serious massage ! Margaret Connelly

I have been experiencing back pain on and off for about three months. I was referred to John Smelts…read moreby a client of his and decided to give him a try. John has been working out of his home since 1984. It was a pleasant surprise and reminded me of the good-ole-days when businesses were family run or home-based and you received exceptional customer service. It turned out that my first impressions were accurate. John had me fill out a medical history form and he then asked a lot of questions about my back pain issues. I was impressed by how patient and concerned he was regarding my chronic pain. He described how he incorporates energy healing into his massages and suggested several changes to my diet which I am going to try. John also offered insights into how I may be creating my own back pain because of my habits and lifestyle. He demonstrated a specific yoga exercise which has helped greatly in better managing the pain and stress in my back. I requested a full body massage for one hour. John's massage really worked out the kinks in my body because I have been under a lot of stress and holding onto a lot of pain in my muscles. He used many different techniques including a percussion vibrator. I liked all the different types of acupressure work he did which I feel covered all of the major muscles in my body very effectively. Afterwards, I was completely pain free and felt more relaxed than I have in years. It has been two months since my massage treatment and I no longer have back pain. I can see myself becoming a regular client.
