I have a mystery pain in my leg that I got from surgery, and no one can seem to figure out what it is. No other doctors could help me, so I decided to try a chiropractor. I wanted to go to a female, and that's actually very hard to find! I came here to see Dr. Amy Kocherberger. I came here for several months. She was always very upfront with me, and told me she wasn't exactly sure what the issue was either. My appointments with her were helping, so I kept coming for several months. More and more time was going between appointments until I'd have pain again, so I was happy with it. I had a completely separate medical issue occur, and my doctor recommended I no longer go, so that's the only reason I stopped going for the time being. I do think the office could be a little cleaner. Sometimes I'd go in a room and the paper they lay down would still be there from the last patient. Not everybody believes that a chiropractor accomplishes much. I may be one of those people. I definitely know that a chiropractor accomplishes something. The only question for me is whether I would've gotten better by myself and even more so do I get better more quickly by using a chiropractor. I think so. One thing I do know Dr. Lange very likely is the best chiropractor in the County. I became aware of the doctor when my cousin needed a new chiropractor. I went to Angie's list as I was a member. I spent quite a while checking all the chiropractors in the county. One name kept coming up Dr. Lange. After the study I shared it to my cousin who had been using a chiropractor for years and years. She told me how great her chiropractor was but unfortunately the doctor was moving. As a result of my study she was going to try Dr. Lange. I said to my cousin Great tell me all about it once you meet the doctor! My cousin called me almost immediately after her appointment. I said Liz tell me what happened how was it? My cousin had an interesting way of answering it she said 'You don't know what you don't know'. I said Liz what do you mean? My cousin told me She had a really great chiropractor in the past but Dr. Lange was so much better thus she's 'You don't know what you don't know'. Well it got my curiosity going. A year later I had a neck problem and I was going to try Dr. Lange. This doctor was not the first time I had seen a chiropractor I have seen two others in my life. What I can tell you is the doctor took care of my problem almost totally the first time I saw him. I would say roughly 80% of my neck problem was gone. Dr. Lange has been amazing at helping me get through marathon training as healthy as possible. Dr. Lange is the only one at this location who does ART (Active Release Therapy) He makes sure to listen to what's going on with my body and taking the time to work my trouble some areas. Between my glute/ hip/ and calf muscles giving me issues while training, he's been able to help all the pain subside. My weekly visits to see him are my favorite days of the week. He not only treats my trouble areas, he also adjusts me and gives me recommendations of things I can do at home to help the spots that hurt. I always leave there refreshed. I once tried to take a break from going to see him and I regretted it immensely. I know some people who hate going to the chiro or think it doesn't do anything for them. After multiple visits and telling them they were way too rough, they continued to do their thing on me. Staff did not listen at all. Hurt me during and for days afterward. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I have gone through so many different chiropractors with different types of adjustments. For 10 years I have suffered through major neck and back pain, and it never seemed to go away. For a period of time, I had to go 2-3 times a week!! When I found Dr. Keeler, he was able to get me from 2-3 times a week to once a month!! Dr Keeler and I = worst patient/practioner mismatch ever. Do not call yourself an educator and then just keep repeating your explanation of circulation blocked by adhesions where the only word that stuck out is the very unscientific term "junk." Comes across as patronizing. Do not tell me my auto-immune condition, inherited from my father's side, manifested because I eat meat. Do not tell me my arch supports are no good because you can bend them when they are out of the shoe. If your theories contradict my life experience, I'm going to go with my life experience. Here are my truths: my vegan sister died at 60 within 5 years of manifesting auto-immune disease and never went into remission despite intensive treatment. My omnivore father's much milder auto-immune disease didn't manifest till past age 80, he lived until age 94, and died of something else. And my arch supports work just fine in the shoe, against the side of the shoe, as they are designed to be worn.
