There are several recliners available and my seat was cozy and comfortable. Don't be scared off by the community setting--the room was fairly full during my appointment but it was quiet and everyone was relaxing in their own space. After relaxing in the recliner for about 45 minutes, the needles were removed. The application and removal was pretty painless, save for one or two slight pinches. The best part is that my back felt so much better after! It's recommended that you go for more than one treatment and I definitely will, but I was pleased by the difference I felt after just one session.
