I started back in October and have been going on the regular ever since. Heather is the owner and acupuncturist. I love her - she's friendly and sweet, makes you feel comfortable, and knows her stuff when it comes to any question you might have about your body and if acupuncture can help (it usually can). I always feel wonderful after my treatments and my knee pain is virtually gone now. Many health insurance plans allow for half price treatments for a certain number of visits, which makes it much more cost effective. Heather can answer those questions too. Also, the rooms are cozy and warm. You have the option to listen to soothing music, which I prefer to drown out other sounds and it's good white noise. She often has an additional heat lamp going. I believe it helps to accelerate the release of heat from whatever area is causing you trouble (in my case my knee). For those of you fearing needles, these are nothing. They are about the thickness of a strand of hair so you barely feel anything. What you will feel is relaxed and relieved of pain afterward. When I have a tricky spot that's been problematic, it will feel tingly as the needles unblock the acupuncture point. Trust me on this, it's amazing. I highly recommend it!

Fast forward a few months: I now see her twice a week and both visits are quite literally the highlights of my week! My daughter was diagnosed with a tongue tie at birth, but we didn't start noticing issues until she was about three weeks old. By four weeks, we made the difficult decision to have her tongue tie clipped with the help of a lactation specialist. After the procedure, my daughter struggled to latch and breastfeed. I felt defeated and questioned whether I had made the right decision. That's when I reached out to Rochester Family Chiropractic--and I'm incredibly grateful they were able to get us in to see Dr. Kelsey Pierce. Dr. Pierce provided outstanding support and care. Over the next few weeks, she worked with my daughter to strengthen her oral muscles and release built-up tension in her body--two key factors that significantly improved her ability to breastfeed successfully. One of the things I really appreciate about Dr. Pierce is how thoroughly she explains each adjustment and exercise, along with the reasoning behind them.
