Your first appointment includes $15 for the initial consultation. I paid $55 total with my HSA for my first treatment with the consult. The environment is very soothing. There are several recliners available and my seat was cozy and comfortable. Don't be scared off by the community setting--the room was fairly full during my appointment but it was quiet and everyone was relaxing in their own space. After relaxing in the recliner for about 45 minutes, the needles were removed. The application and removal was pretty painless, save for one or two slight pinches. The best part is that my back felt so much better after! It's recommended that you go for more than one treatment and I definitely will, but I was pleased by the difference I felt after just one session.

I stumbled across Dr Jacki Fichtner when just doing a simple google search for "acupuncture near…read moreme." I clicked her website and saw she specialized in services that I was specifically looking for (mainly women's health) so I booked my new patient appointment immediately. Fast forward a few months: I now see her twice a week and both visits are quite literally the highlights of my week! This was my first ever acupuncture experience, and she first discussed with me what I was looking to accomplish and any issues I currently had, then she proceeded to let me know her plan for me! I first tried out acupuncture after hearing from a friend that it helped her so much with stress reduction and relaxation. I thought hey, might as well try it out. I started back in October and have been going on the regular ever since. Heather is the owner and acupuncturist. I love her - she's friendly and sweet, makes you feel comfortable, and knows her stuff when it comes to any question you might have about your body and if acupuncture can help (it usually can). I always feel wonderful after my treatments and my knee pain is virtually gone now. Many health insurance plans allow for half price treatments for a certain number of visits, which makes it much more cost effective. Heather can answer those questions too. Also, the rooms are cozy and warm. You have the option to listen to soothing music, which I prefer to drown out other sounds and it's good white noise. She often has an additional heat lamp going. I believe it helps to accelerate the release of heat from whatever area is causing you trouble (in my case my knee). For those of you fearing needles, these are nothing. They are about the thickness of a strand of hair so you barely feel anything. What you will feel is relaxed and relieved of pain afterward. When I have a tricky spot that's been problematic, it will feel tingly as the needles unblock the acupuncture point. Trust me on this, it's amazing. I highly recommend it!

I see Christine (Not sure if that's the right spelling- sorry!) and she has been great! She has a calming effect on me, and that's good, because I'm sometimes a little too worked up. I really appreciate the Chinese massage that accompanies the acupuncture. When I leave I feel nice and relaxed and pain free. They do accept some insurances, so take advantage of that if you can. It has made the decision for me so much easier! Their location is also perfect for me - right off 104 in Webster. I usually make my appointments in the evening and can go after work on my way hope. Super convenient. Initially I was wary of acupuncture, but then you experience things in life that make you open up to something different. My daughter was diagnosed with a tongue tie at birth, but we didn't start noticing issues until she was about three weeks old. By four weeks, we made the difficult decision to have her tongue tie clipped with the help of a lactation specialist. After the procedure, my daughter struggled to latch and breastfeed. I felt defeated and questioned whether I had made the right decision. That's when I reached out to Rochester Family Chiropractic--and I'm incredibly grateful they were able to get us in to see Dr. Kelsey Pierce. Dr. Pierce provided outstanding support and care. Over the next few weeks, she worked with my daughter to strengthen her oral muscles and release built-up tension in her body--two key factors that significantly improved her ability to breastfeed successfully. One of the things I really appreciate about Dr. Pierce is how thoroughly she explains each adjustment and exercise, along with the reasoning behind them. She also taught me exercises to do at home to maintain our progress between visits.
