Excellent pro shop and good food and bar…read more Sam Moon bought the Club in 2005, made a lot of upgrades etc. Was one of the nicest public DFW courses. 20 years later it's showing its age, fairways in poor condition, cart paths and bridges falling apart. Some repairs underway but needs a lot of work to get back to a top 10 public course. $120 per round a bit high, but all North Texas public courses are expensive on weekends. We will be back in a few months to see how the maintenance and repairs have improved the course.

I worked at The Lakes at Castle Hills in The Colony/Lewisville, TX. During my time there, I experienced verbal abuse from a leadership figure.... something I reported multiple times to management with no meaningful resolution. I have this behavior documented and on video. I was also subjected to sexual harassment from a club member, including inappropriate comments like: "Would you like to see the tattoo on my d**k?"and unwanted physical contact. When I told management I was uncomfortable and requested not to serve this member, I was told: "They're paying members, there's nothing we can do." Another manager later suggested I confront the harasser myself. I also have a diagnosed learning disability and was frequently mocked for things like misspellings, despite leadership being aware of my condition. Instead of support, I was met with humiliation. I filed a formal complaint with the EEOC. They acknowledged what I shared but ultimately dismissed the case due to the company's classification as a private, tax-exempt membership club, which is not subject to certain federal protections. This experience left me deeply shaken. I'm still growing from it. It shattered my confidence and made me question my worth, but I now know the weight I carried wasn't mine. I'm sharing it because silence only protects harmful systems.

The pro shop is well-stocked with everything you might need, and the range balls are always in great condition--fresh and consistent. What I especially appreciate is how well they maintain the grass during the texas summer heat. They clearly put in the effort to keep the hitting areas in good shape, so you get a solid, realistic playing surface every time. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great place to practice.
