Been going to this place since it was called Golden Bear (at least 10years). Great spot to hit a bucket. Ryan at the front even helped me fix my driver when part of a screw broke off for no cost. Great place good people. read more

Recently taken some lessons with Coach Suti, and couldn't be happier with the results. Staff is full of experienced golfers who are very open and welcoming. Pricing on clubs and bags are very good and competitive compared to bigger stores. I would put Suti up there with the best of the coaches and fitters. I was playing a pretty aggressive slice pretty well I might add, shooting100-110..... with that being said I had lost a good amount of distance on each club. Suti Had me dead straight and 30 yards further on my THIRD SWING of the lesson man. Proof is in the pudding. Shout out Suti and the team up there. Definitely gotta check this place out. Disclaimer: I'm a newbie to golf so my review is coming from a novice and not an experienced golfer. A friend and I came to Highlands on Saturday morning, and we both enjoyed our experience there. We wanted to do the driving range, but they were all full so we were allowed to do the short game for free. That worked for us as we just wanted to practice, and it was great that we could do this option for free. My friend, who's been golfing longer than me, commented that she liked that there were sand dunes in the short game area, and said that other courses that she's been to haven't always had that. There was also a small putting green in case someone wanted to practice with that. This seems like a great place to practice your swings if don't want to go to a full golf course. We went here for my brother's birthday to celebrate. We went to play mini golf at this course. It is $12 dollars a person for 18 holes. The service was great as the person at the front counter took our picture and gave my brother a free mini golf round. It took us around an hour to finish the course. The mini course is just a plain one and not the one you see at typical ones. All you get is bricks, rocks and putting carpet. Some of the parts definitely need love and care as the rugs were torn off and need to be replaced. There were also leaves and pine needles on the ground. You also need to be careful of some of the spikey bushes as some are part of the course. The balls tend to bounce off the bricks and got hidden in the bushes. The people did replace the ball when we asked for it Overall, it was just an okay experience. read more

Had a lot of fun at this course, but it was a little rough. Lots of par 4 holes make it more challenging and extends the game. Carpets could use some repair and the whole place needs a clean up, but that didn't stop us from having a good time. read more

The mini golf course is in TERRIBLE condition. The carpet is laced with holes and seams which alter the course of the golf ball. The weeds and bugs and overgrown shrubs make playing this course almost impossible. When we arrived, they said they had lowered the prices for mini-golf; that should have been our clue to run. They should have paid us to play. read more

Nice place, with nice people and a good deal on the range passes, but they can not be used towards the mini golf. The mini golf is a really nice setup with some good long puts, but the turf has a lot of bad spots. We will be back! read more

I have been coming here since I started to learn the game of Golf about a year ago. Not only is the staff professional and helpful but they offer classes with training from great players. Currently in their "Get Golf Ready" class with Brady because I wanted to improve my swing and tweak the things I was doing incorrectly. After three classes my swing has improved tremendously. Shanks and slices are almost non-existent in my swing anymore, and I have not even got to the classes for irons and driver. Highly recommend them for all of your golf needs and questions. read more

Really good spot. No real complaints. Yeah sometimes the grass isn't PERFECT but that has more to do with my divots than their upkeep. Been hitting balls here for about 3 years & really happy this place exists. Btw; if you get a "range pass" which is basically just a gift card, not a subscription or anything, you get access to a Tranquil chipping green. It's off the beaten path & in good shape. read more

Sorry, that is just not good enough since we have to go inside to get our card scanned or to pay. I don't play golf often or know much about golf but I do know I like this range. It's very nice and there are plenty of spaces to practice. They have a ball dispenser and you just get a basket for the balls. Each basket has a lot of golf balls. You will spend a couple of hours here easily by yourself. They have a shop inside with golf gears. Grass is well kept and they have several putting areas. This place is huge! read more

Friendly staff and a great facility. Just wanted to pop in and get an hours worth of work in.

With over 80 grass tees and covered and heated tees for those bad weather days, this is the place to go. They also have a short game practice area as well as two large putting greens. Several pros to choose from, my favorite is John Gerber, for those lessons. You can get those individually or in packages. We need to get the guys together for a mini-golf tournament. It's awesome out there. We love it! read more

This place has helped me enjoy the game of golf like I never thought I could. The facility itself is 2nd to none, and the staff is incredible! LOVE the on-staff teaching pros. John Gerber has helped me along tremendously with all the patience in the world. Their short game area is my favorite, and then covered and heated tees are available when the weather is not conducive to golf. Absolutely LOVE this place! My friends and I came in to play Putt Putt about 8:45. The gentlemen working the counter said the course was closed due to maintenance. We drove from Denton because we love this course! We got to talking with the Manager on duty and we ended up getting to play! Beautiful driving range but we unfortunately won't go because of their customer service, or lack thereof. We called to ask if it was public or private, and whether or not they have overhead coverage as it's supposed to rain today. The guy on the phone was extremely condescending. Minigolf course review: this has the lite of being five stars if they'd simply recarpet the holes. Some holes are perfect, others have bad tears and bunching. This is a long hole course with lots of hills and no trick shots needed. Very challenging course. This would make it the only long course in the dfw area. Be advised that if they ever repaired and/or replaced the carpet that it would be the absolute best non-novelty minigolf in dfw. read more

Great outdoor driving range with covered area for less-than-ideal weather. Prices are very fair, considering quality of facilities. If you're going to get a card, I would recommend you get the "birdie" card or better, cause you can use the chipping area and practice on the bunkers for free. Yea that might be free at most other driving ranges, but it is a nice chipping surface. I really like their driving range grass here, really gives me good practice on my irons, unlike some other driving ranges that have bad grass/grounds that make practice less realistic of actual golf course conditions. I mean, when you're taking your 2nd or 3rd shot with your irons at a golf course, you're probably not going to be hitting off some crabgrass on really hard soil that hasn't been watered in forever. Glad I found Golden Bear. Note that the facility is in Carrollton, not Dallas. Close to the Addison Airport read more

My husband plays A LOT of golf and loves to practice at this range. He wanted to teach me how to play so I started going with him and I have to say the experience is pleasant every time. The entire staff is friendly and they have close relationships with a lot of their customers so you can tell they really care. They also have greens to work on your putting and short game with sand traps and everything so it's been extremely helpful for me to practice. I even ordered some clubs through them and they were super helpful and you could tell they are definitely pros. Every little detail matters with them so I appreciate their time spent with me to make sure everything was exactly the way I wanted in my clubs. This place is the real deal so thank you! read more

My comments ONLY apply to the driving range as I have not used any other part of the facility. With regards to the driving range though, it is absolutely terrible - quite possibly the worst I've ever seen in my life. The grass is all dried out and dead from end to end and its incredibly hard to find a decent spot to hit off of. Most ranges also usually have multiple targets, with varying lengths, that you can aim for, but this place really has nothing of the sort. It's basically the equivalent of just going into someone's backyard and hitting balls on totally flat terrain full of dead grass. read more

Nice building and very helpful staff. This place definitely has potential but the driving range lacks. The surface is very bumpy and good grass is hard to find. They don't fill in the old hitting areas with sand nor do they overseed to get new grass growing. It did not appear that they overseeded rye during the winter months either, which is an easy, cheap way of having grass when it's cold. Why not take advantage of the large hitting area to grow grass when not in use like other facilities? If these things were done, it would get a solid 4 or 5 stars. read more

It seems like driving ranges are disappearing as the city grows. I guess that makes sense. This is a good driving range in the middle of Carrollton and is really the only one in the area. I don't know that there is anything particularly special about it as a driving range but it has decent prices and it does have a covered area as well. read more

Best practice facility in north Texas. They have lasered targets along with multiple putting/chipping greens. They also have a pitching area that is big enough to use by many at one time. What sets this place apart is that the grounds are well maintained. read more

Easily the best mini golf course in the area. The holes are long and challenging enough to where a 3 is a decent score, although it can be easy to rack up the numbers on your score card. The course is currently under maintenance, but the excellent staff and manager informed us and allowed my buddies and I to play a round.
