WORTH THE MONEY, GREAT EDUCATION! I bought a Groupon for 1/2 off the H-1 and H-2 Handgun courses…read more.. so far I've only attended H-1 and it was awesome. I went into it knowing almost nothing about handguns (a little about rifles, very little) and left with the comfort of understanding how they work. I can easily walk into a range now and try out different guns without fear or confusion. THESE COURSES NRA CERTIFIED (at least all the levels 1&2). It does say that on the website, but I don't think it's very obvious.. We left with an official NRA instruction book, certificate, patch (yes, like girl- or boy-scouts), and several other pamphlets. We also shot about 25 rounds which is not required for the NRA courses, but as our instructor pointed out, it is much different to try it with real bullets than with blanks and fake-practicing. Well worth it, even on a cold January day. Tedd, the owner and instructor, is a vet with tons of experience. He is direct, helpful, and is not afraid to offer his opinions.. which are interesting to hear. He was patient with an older couple that never touched their gun (but owned it for two years??) and offered tricks and tips for maneuvering switches for my friend because our hands aren't really strong (especially the de-cocker and the slide lock **keywords I learned!) So, if you're unsure, don't know a thing, want revenge on the politicians trying to take away our rights, or simply curious - this is the place to start! I think everyone should take at least the H-1 course before they can say a THING about guns. It really changes your perception when you're in control. Don't be afraid, get educated! ... I'll update after H-2 in March but I imagine it'll be even better and more fun than H-1!

This is a great local gun range. It has an indoor pistol range, indoor archery range, and multiple…read moreoutdoors ranges - pistol, tactical/IDPA, multi-purpose, 50/100m rifle, and metallic silhouette. Unfortunately, its membership has grown rapidly in the last several years and membership has hit its cap. I still would recommend trying to come with a member or shoot a match here. I am a new shooter and have been welcomed with open arms. Everyone is patient and enjoys helping get new shooters orientated. I just walked in to a bullseye match with a .22 pistol and was able to shoot that night after a 5 min briefing - it's really that easy. If I had more time to shoot I would try to compete in more disciplines. There is a wide range of talent at the competitions, but there is always room for new shooters, youngsters, women, and anyone looking just to have some fun (it's really not intimidating at all). You do not have to be a member to compete and it's not that expensive, so check the website and give something a try (the calendar is updated regularly). The range is one of the safer I've ever heard of. There is a through application process with a background check and multiple orientation sessions. Everyone is familiar with the range rules and follows them - I haven't seen anything unsafe happen, as most of the shooters are experienced and professional. Family and friends are welcome as well - members can pay $2 to bring a dependent or $10 to bring a friend. You often see parents shooting with their kids, which is nice. In sum, this is a great club for any kind of shooter - there's something for everyone here, highly recommended.

A very badly organized firing range, that makes having fun hitting targets a miserable experience,…read moredue to the lead members of the association. It nothing but a failing extremely pitiful waste of land!!!
