There were no unexpected additional costs or "nickel and diming". The work was completely thoroughly, beautifully and on time. There was no punch list of left over finishing work to complete at a later date. The crew worked full days at every opportunity - weather was the only time we didn't see them. They were the epitome of kind and respectful throughout quarantine - always giving us space when the kids were running around or we needed to get bikes out of the garage. They kept the job site clean which we appreciated because we were working and distance learning from home. Thoughtful, personable and fun, they cheered on my son as he made soccer goals from their ladders all while setting boards in place. You can tell there's a great culture at Muller that encourages hard work and teams who enjoy working well together. We were told the crew that was at our home, led by Ishmael, has been with Muller for 17 years (I hope I'm getting that correct) which goes to show employees are treated well, and it's a long-standing business. Rob came by daily to check on progress and make sure we were pleased. And we are! I would whole-heartedly recommend Muller and feel fortunate our neighbor recommended them to us.

I had already made a claim with my insurance company (name intentionally withheld). With the estimate in hand, we hired Benjamin Brothers to complete the work and be our representative with our insurance company. I didn't want the headache and they knew what to do. As typical with insurance claims adjusters, they tried to nickel and dime the claim and Lee and Cody fought back to get the repair covered and each piece of damage compensated. Due to the back-and-forth, the job was delayed (weather/seasons) and the insurance tried to not pay the depreciation funds. We fought back again and the funds were finally released. The work was done professionally and when there was a slight issue with the repair, they corrected it immediately. They were responsive to our e-mails and phone calls and helped us through the dealing with our insurance company.

Michael Prate came out himself and walked me through the job. We had used them before to replace a hail-damaged shake roof about 20 years ago and they did a fine job. When we decided to remove the shake because of age and insurance issues. (No insurance company is happy with shakes), The crew arrived on time (early) every day. They were very professional and courteous. Carlos was the lead and he was super. He even went above and beyond by taking down our old satellite dish and even was willing to wash our two skylights. Art was the clean-up man and he literally filled a huge dumpster and another smaller one with our roof debris, by himself. What a guy. Every night they cleaned up like they were finished and not coming back. The job took three days but it looks great. They sent an inspector out to check the job the following day. I can't recommend them highly enough.

As homeowners we don't know how to deal with them and they take advantage of us. I worked with Sterling exteriors. The rep came out circled the hail damage and came out and walked through the damage with the inspector. He acted as my advocate and I ended up getting new siding and gutters. They just finished the work this week and it looks great. With no out of pocket cost and the rep actually added trim and a few other items on their own. The rep you deal with makes a difference. I worked with Mike O'Brien at 847-703-0299. He was great. Mike kept me updated the whole way through the process. My experience with Mike was exceptional.

I had Sterling Exteriors out to quote on some soffit work that I needed done. They came in…read moremid-September but told me to wait until the end of October to book anything because it would be less expensive. So I waited until the end of October and called. I was told that they were already closing down for the winter but that they had a guy that they worked with who would honor their quotes and do the work. They came back, did a quote, and took pictures to share with their guy. A few days later their referral came out and measured everything. Sterling Exteriors then confirmed what day their guy was going to be coming out. I arranged the financing on my own and had them back out to sign the paperwork and give the the deposit check. When I was giving the deposit check I was told that at that very moment, their guy was out buying the supplies. We were all ready to do. 10 minutes later Sterling Exteriors called back and said that there guy wasn't going to be able to do it because of "a number of issues, but mainly manpower". So they had provided pictures to their guy, confirmed the start date, were in the process of purchasing the required materials, and had a signed work order and deposit. And all of a sudden the guy who was all ready to go couldn't do it. So I said that Sterling needed to do it themselves, but was told no, they were closed for the year and that there was nothing that could be done. It's plainly obvious that Sterling Exteriors under quoted the work and that neither their referral nor Sterling Exteriors themselves would honor the pricing I was given, and that I was being given the run around as to the reason why. When I confronted Sterling Exteriors about this they stopped replying altogether. Very shady business that won't honor their own pricing even after the contract was signed.

Tony was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The pricing was comparable to another estimate we received, but we are confident that these windows are better quality and will last longer. They included a fix for a hole in our siding without trying to upsell us for all new siding. We ordered in October and the manufacturer had our windows ready for installation in December. The crew that came out were so friendly and very respectful of our home. Scheduling the installation, painting, cleanup, and finishing touches was a breeze. The winter weather did make it difficult for the crew to clean up nails and debris on the outside, but they did come back when it was warmer to clean up. We look forward to hiring them for other services, possibly roof and siding.

It was a mess. I carefully researched companies that did exterior work. I ultimately chose Olson on the basis of their reputation of doing high-quality work. Shortly thereafter I met with the project manager (Joe H) and he was helped me get the colors and materials picked and ordered and the project was underway. When the install day arrived, I was introduced two a 2-man work crew that would be handling the bulk of the work. In the course slightly more than a week, they totally rebuilt the full exterior of my home. The results are amazing and the home feels new again! Two things really stood out to me and my experience with Olson. 1). The work ethic of that two-man crew. They worked as hard as anyone I have ever seen. Except for lunch, work was non-stop from sunrise to sunset. This was hard and grueling work, especially the demolition of the old siding and stone fascia. They showed up every day like clockwork, and cleaned up after each day. 2). The quality of work they demonstrated. They absolutely knew what they were doing, and they were very good at it. Everything was installed true, level, without gaps, etc. Caulk lines were perfect etc. Everywhere they worked you could see the pride in what they do, and it was very clear there were no shortcuts taken. These two gentlemen were expert craftsman and I can gratefully say my house now reflects that. It turned out more beautiful than I'd ever imagined. I have never nor will ever receive any compensation for this review. My sole motivation for writing is to share the positive experience I had with Olson. Finding a trustworthy company for a project of this size and investment is daunting. Olson, especially their work crew, deserves recognition for a job well done. I can recommend them without hesitation for their quality work and attention to detail. They should be proud of their accomplishments, and I am proud of it too.

Mike at Copley came to inspect my garage roof leaking from solar panel installation. Solar company…read morehas originally denied responsibility. Mike then wrote a full report for me, with pictures, to submit. Solar company rep came out, Mike even took the time to come and meet him at the same time. Solar company admitted fault and will now repair my roof at no charge to me. Mike didn't even get the job, which I'm a little saddened by, because the solar company is going to do it, but his professionalism and going above and beyond saved me about $8k and at a time when I'm trying to sell my house. Thank you Mike. I am moving out of state but I have several friends in this area and I will only and always recommend your company.

They installed a roof on the new porch and although Charlie said he could match the new roof with…read morethe existing roof, they left a large obvious hump instead of a smooth transition. We also had them put gutters up in front and on our pole barn. The front gutters seemed to be installed correctly but the pole barn gutters were installed improperly and fell to the ground with the first snow storm. We asked Charlie to fix/reinstall the gutters since his employees did not properly secure it. Charlie stated he would fix it so as installed properly. Then we received a contract to pay for wood to install the gutters and were told he would not fix it unless we signed the blank estimate. There wasn't an amount on it, so we told him we wanted to know the extra charge (we didn't feel we should have been charged anything, but would be willing to pay for extra material if that's what we needed). Charlie then stated he needed to charge for more labor costs and materials, and said he has to "take care of his boys" and said he would charge us to reinstall it properly (as if it was a new project). He refused to fix the issue his employees caused and now we're out the money we originally paid to have gutters put up and have to pay someone else to do the job correctly. We do not recommend them and wish we'd read the Yelp reviews when the contractor (who built the porch) recommended Charlie Copely.
