They accomplish this by making the french fries be the base of the dish. I've now been here twice, but my favorite Dirty Fries are by far the Taco Fries, which are essentially tacos without the shell but with french fries instead. The wait time to get your order isn't bad (even when they're busy). I believe that each time I waited, it was about 5-7 minutes. The staff is extremely nice. The fries are always crispy and never soggy. They do offer additional options as well that include some burgers. I've had the opportunity to have those as well. The burgers are delicious (if you are looking for a full meal), but as you can tell by the restaurant's name, their claim to fame is ultimately the fries. I will be coming here again anytime I visit Parkville Market, and I brought a friend last time who started sharing his positive experience with his friends and family, too.

This was the second stop and the stop that concluded my visit to Hartford today. So like the other three places, let's talk about this. So firstly, you should know this wasn't even my first choice after the hibachi place. Yelp had mentioned a place called "Taste of Portugal" and wanted to try that. However, Taste of Portugal was not around when I looked inside, so this ended up being my ultimate backup spot. While not bad, it was my least favorite place of the day and the only one I can't give five stars to. Let's go over the pros and cons and see where this lands (after the Carolina Dog and Twisted Fries that made up my order here). So for the pros, that Carolina Dog was bangin' out the frame good! If that Carolina Hot Dog was the only thing I was grading this place on, then this would be a guaranteed 5-star. That golden mustard and pulled pork on top made this an awesome dog from start to finish, served very warm like a hug from the Carolinas. I do also like that the menus display how much each thing costs and what is on each of the things one can order. It's quite neat there. Prices are also reasonable here which is another plus. For the cons, I had to wait to even be able to order. There was a longer line, but it was also impossible to know if I was the next person in line or if there was someone else who needed to order their food that got there before I did. Also, the employee working there didn't recognize I was customer right away. I mean, come on. I did not have this happen with the other two spots in the Parkville Market I was at, and all of it was in the same visit to Parkville Market in the middle of lunch hour. The Twisted Fries I had mixed opinions about. So the fry itself was crunchy, but because of all the toppings, I'd realized too late that the fries were completely drowned out, so I didn't really get to taste the potato. I didn't mind the wait here either since I was warned it would be a wait. Plus, it gave me a chance to upload photos to Yelp and charge my phone since my battery was low. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but if I did come here again, I would gladly order another Carolina Dog. Seriously, that's one of the best hot dogs I've eaten.

Wow wow wow! I think this may be my favorite new restaurant. I just ordered lunch (probably enough…read morefood for 5 people which is why my food was delivered with three sets of utensils ) I started with montucas and a pausa mixta. I had never tried montucas before but they are very similar to tamales, but the amount of meat inside was astoundingly and the size of the meat portions were insane. Especially for the price. It was delicious. I could eat fifty of them. Montucas also have chickpeas inside which was the perfect compliment to the masa and meat. I can't say enough good things. The papusas were also very good. This is the first time I've had such a crunchy, chewy papusa before. Usually I can cut them with a fork. I think I might like this texture better though! And lastly I got the carne asada. I cannot believe the portion size I got. It was ridiculous, the amount of sides and the portion sizes of those sides was also ridiculous. Everything was seasoned absolutely perfectly. The steak was amazing, the sausage was perfectly spicy, the rice and beans were tasty, the plantains were plentiful. Everything was amazing. Truly. Thank you so much Ktrachitos!

Wait...woah. I was…read moreout on my walk and ran into Yelpers Agnes P. And Mia L. while they were at Ka-Tra-Chi-Tos (btw) and I kept an eye out for their reviews. Once I saw two 5 star reviews I headed over. First, let's talk about the name! Ktrachitos isn't only addicting to say (once you get it right), it's likened to Boriqua for Puerto Ricans but for Hondurans. This was my first time trying Honduran food and it exceeded my expectations! I got the arepa revuelta, carne asada, and the biggest mug of passion fruit juice I've ever seen. The Arepa was slightly burnt, but that's exactly how I like them. The texture was smooth and they didn't skimp on any of the beans, cheese, or chicharron inside. The carne asada was PERFECT. The steak was cooked well, lightly seasoned, and paired perfectly with everything on the plate. There was so much included from green bananas, rice, avocado, sausage, and cheese. I couldn't finish it and packed the rest to go. It was perfect the next morning. It's a laid back spot. There are Honduran flags through the restaurant, cute plants, and twinkling lights which were cute. I recommend attending with someone who speaks Spanish if you do not. My Spanish is rusty but I was still able to chat with my server a bit. I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast, but I'm a big fan already!
