Hi Courtney,
Thank you for the one sided negative review. It is funny when someone tries to ruin a persons business with half truths. Did I complain about the venue? Yes. Here is the timeline and I saved our emails You contacted me on December 22 2015 after being referred by your friend Katie who I did her wedding. Did you tell me about the venue needing a business license in that email? No, you said I needed to be licensed. 2 different things and 2 different requirement in my industry. Then in the first week of January 2016 less than 2 weeks time frame you said Again confirming was I licensed, I said yes, but said I'm at a week long school and would call the venue as some venues and clients confuse being certified which is the correct term not licensed like a hairstylist, and having a business license. I said I would call the venue, that was early in the week. I called that Wednesday got a recording saying they wouldn't be in until Friday. You asked me that weekend if ?I heard back, I said not yet. Finally he called me back Tuesday saying I needed a Coronado specific business license. I told you what the mix up was, and told you the fee. I said it would be 1/4th of my fee to get it, you said you would cover it, that you are happy with me and didn't want to change. At this point I had not cashed the check yet. I said I Will go get it and just add it on at the final bill. So I made plans to go the following Tuesday. Without charging you extra, I cashed the deposit $25.00 to use for gas money and part of the business license fee. So I was willing to drive 75 miles each way from Temecula to Coronado to get a license I may only use once that year and it expire to get this done. You said you would cover the extra cost of the license, not my time, gas, and wear on my car, and that we had time. I said its your money, meaning if you want me to do it or keep shopping for someone who might already have one. You took that wrong and canceled the event. I tried explaining what I meant, because we all know things don't come across always as it was intended. I told you I took off the next from my day job to go get the license. Then said okay, and it's your right. That was January 11th. I told you I would refund your deposit in good faith even though in the contract it says "if the event cancels for Any reason, the deposit is forfeited and use to compensate the scheduled bartender. Then you contacted me a few days later. I said I would do it. I sent the 25.00 check out at the end of January as I wasn't obligated to even do it, but still did it to appease you this yelp review you posted was feb 15th so how did it take me months to return the deposit that you were not even entitled to get back? You have no sense of the timeline. I have all our emails I can forward to you or anyone reading this. Your wedding was last night March 18th? Not still don't understand what the issue was. But please in future when you try to ruin someone's business, please have all the facts for potential viewers of your posts. I have done 900 events with a 100% completion rate in the last 6 years. I have 40 regulars clients that do 1 to 4 events a year. So we must be doing something right. I tried working with your budget, I was willing to drive 150 miles to get a license in a city I never have worked in, or would that year and it would expire, just to make your day as memorable as ?I did your friend Katie's wedding.
So now comes Monday, you weren't happy that I wasn't doing it fast enough a read more
