I hired this DJ for my wedding because my venue recommended them. He made me pay in full (~$1500) to hire him, which I'm now learning is not a common practice among DJs. My guests are very COVID conscious, so I had to mandate vaccines for guests so people would come, and my guests also would not feel comfortable with an unvaccinated DJ. When I found out that Alex did not have any vaxxed DJs available, I asked to cancel with over 3 months notice. He would not give me a refund or even a partial refund even though no services were rendered and even though I gave over 3 months notice for a very popular wedding month (Oct 2021). He seemed like he would be nice and cared about customer service when I first hired him, but his behavior since has been appalling. He is belligerent and stubborn and there is no way I can imagine wanting someone from his company emcee my joyous occasion. read more

To start, Alex has the best DJ voice ever, and not gonna lie this was originally why I picked him. After meeting up and going over the process, it was obvious that Alex knows what he is doing. He has an application that *uhh* he MADE, that allows you to essentially customize your entire wedding playlist from ceremony to reception! Alex is incredible! My husband and I were planning our wedding from out of state so everyone we met was entirely over the phone. We had hired another DJ for our wedding but after a few conversations it was clear he was not going to be the lively DJ we needed to make our wedding perfect. Thank goodness we met Alex at a bridal show we happened to be in town for and we paid for all our services on the spot- we knew he was going to be awesome! The best decision we ever made was ditching our previous DJ and having Alex DJ our wedding! He was amazing, funny, took control of the crowd and did a wonderful job getting everybody engaged, involved and most importantly dancing! The reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is two reasons. One, he played the completely wrong song for my bridal party entrance. He actually played Shake It Off which was our flower girl entrance song during both our bridal party and flower girls so it was not the end of the world but still was kinda bummed about that. Two, I know I was a totally over controlling bride but I had a list of songs I wanted playing during dinner and during the first half of dinner none of the songs were played and I had to request he play the songs we spoke about and still not all of them were able to be played. Other than those two things everything else was great! Especially because our wedding coordinator dropped the ball on a few major things (i.e. transition our guests from cocktail hour to the reception room) and Alex took control of the situation and stepped in which was a total life saver! Also, we did our photo booth services with Alex and that too was awesome! Everybody loved it! Alex is the best!!! We hired him for our daughter's 15th birthday party on June 16th and he went above and beyond our expectations! We met with him and he went over every single detail and made us feel at ease. On the day of the party, he kept our guests on their feet the whole night dancing the night away! I really couldn't decide between 2 or 3 stars for them, and here's why: I hired Alex to DJ my wedding at the Villa in San Juan Capistrano. As far as the actual DJing, Alex was far more than we expected. He was the MC, he kept the flow of the party going, and got everyone dancing. He did skip my husband's thank you speech, forgot to announce pictures for families (we are so sad those didn't happen!) and needed a DVD in order to play a video (that might not sound like a big deal, but have you ever tried to actually burn a dvd? it's expensive, and very very difficult to do). The main problem I had with him was the lack of communication leading up to the event. We had multiple calls that he skipped, and he told me he'd call me multiple times and then never did. When we spoke on the phone, he'd say that he'd email me, but then the email would never come. We booked him until 10pm, and at 9:00pm he told me that they needed 30 minutes of take down time, so the last song would actually be at 9:30. I asked if I could pay more to keep him an extra 30 minutes, because I didn't want the night to end so early, and he said it would be $75. I said that would be fine, thinking he'd invoice me and I'd pay him on Monday. At 10pm exactly, he came up to me and demanded payment. I was busy saying bye to guests and said I needed a few minutes. He then went up to my husband and demanded payment from him. Considering we had a million other things to do, and that "30 minute take down time" was never mentioned before, I thought that was pretty sucky of him. Basically, he was a good DJ, but not a good businessman. read more

He is accessible at any hour of the day, is professional and clearly knows what it takes to be a DJ and an Emcee for a wedding to keep the pace and energy level up. The Pro Sound DJ website is very user friendly for making payments as well as selecting your song choices. Alex called us a little over a week before our wedding to ensure he had all our song choices right, gave feedback on our choices, was able to execute a last minute addition of a personalized Gobo light display above our dessert table. Being a Preferred Vendor to our wedding site, he knew exactly where to put up lights and we also got a photobooth through him as well which everyone had a lot of fun at. He is very mindful of how your event is going and responds well depending on the feel of your guests and will make any on the spot changes to songs playing to keep your guests entertained. DJ Alex was amazing, to this day no other Dj I reached out to, left messages for, wrote emails to, have contacted me to be the DJ at my wedding. Every phone call or text message (even email) was answered quickly by Alex from start to finish. He was on it every step of the way, weather it was helping me set up my customer account or my playlist, or answering questions that had nothing to do with music. My husband and I used Pro Sound DJ's for our wedding September 5. Alex was our DJ and was absolutely incredible!!! He made our event beyond wonderful. Alex was so easy to work with and has an awesome personality that my husband and I loved! From the first time we talked to him on the phone when doing our consultation, we knew that he had to be our DJ, he was funny, informative and truly loves what he does. We had a couple requests that were really important to us. I needed 3 dances (my mom, my step-dad and my father-in-law) and was worried that it would be hard and complicated for a DJ to do, but not for Alex, he made sure to arrange the order of the dances were what I wanted and that I got enough time for each dance without feeling pressured by time! We also had another request that was really important to us. We asked Alex if he could make sure to announce what was going to be happening 5-10 minutes before so we could ensure my father-in-law was there for everything. Not only did Alex announce everything before hand, he also personally went up to my mother-in-law 5-10 minutes beforehand so ensure she knew! The fact he went up to her to tell her, warmed our hearts. On top of all that, he was the best DJ and MC ever and all our guests thought the same thing! We had only put a couple songs on our "must play" and "don't play" list and it was enough for Alex to know what type of music we liked.
